Cause Bill is strong in his beliefs. And Theo is just humble and down to earth and has a good heart.
Just watched the Nelk and Andrew Schultz podcast earlier in the week and had to come back for this. I love both, but in my book the one winning here is the one not falling for the other one's character, the one having more fun the way he likes it, so a close win for Theo.
The thing about Bill though, is that he is such a fucking cretin about a load of topics, but if anyone tries to correct him then he will have a meltdown and bully them. He needs to kill his ego, but I don't he can. He shadow has consumed his self.
I don't get why someone shutting Theo down for just being himself and having a conversation which is generally what people do when they agree to go on someone's podcast. Like, it makes no sense to me, why waste your time if you're just going to act like the biggest jackass ever to the host who really just wanted to chat with you, casually. Bill isn't a 'straightshooter' and he quite certainly doesn't have any kind of 'authenticity' that is admirable - he's just old, bitter, getting more and more swamped by his ego and undiagnosed blood pressure issues that he wouldn't have if he would just learn how to be a good person. I find it so miserable when people like you think showing up as a bully is the thing to do.
@@SerenitywithLawna-Merry I of course agree that being as asshole to someone for the sake of it isn't the thing to do, suffered as a result of those sorts of people you are describing my entire life, as I very much enjoy being silly, but, that "No 🤨" when asked if he keeps a gun in his helicopter is funny as fuck and that's due to the completely opposite sides of silly that these 2 come from, and that's a dynamic you see repeatedly in comedy. Him and I weren't alive during the Manson family murders, so the film seemingly has no plot and kinda drags on (also rly long movie). But the entire film culminates in the last 15 minutes and pops off. The payoff is huge, but it's easy to "not get it" for the earlier portion. Definitely a movie you need to commit to sitting through, but it's worth it. Obviously it hits Bill differently cuz he was a youngin' during that time period and experienced and remembers all of the pop culture references and makes sense narratively.
It’s funny cause Bill says (as he always does when referring to moments where he was clearly annoyed and upset) that he had a great time doing this podcast and would do it again.

There are moments where they click when it comes to deeper less arbitrary stuff, but comedy wise they have no chemistry, Bill is not a relaxed man, where Theo is, Bill does not give a fuck about making someone feel comfortable. Bill is always like that and Theo is always like that. This is exactly how I would expect them to be towards each other. Just like when Bill asked “Do you believe in Heaven?” Throwing a jab at Theo And Theo politely responded “yes” but kept right on with his story to not make a religious argument. Cause Bill is strong in his beliefs. And Theo is just humble and down to earth and has a good heart.
Just watched the Nelk and Andrew Schultz podcast earlier in the week and had to come back for this.
You can tell when comedians are in different stages of their careers and authenticity being the driving factor of all of their interactions.
Theo understandably so, was nervous, and Bill was literally ripping back the layers and in the end he found who the real Theo was and was like, “okay here’s the guy I want to talk to.”
Nature is a thing. - Theo Von
Big time. We got trees n everything like that
The banter back and forth between these two is pure comedy gold. Some shit you don't normally get to hear. It's two comics with two completely different styles meshed together and it's just hilarious.
Bill is rough an made Theo so uncomfortable throughout that episode, I felt bad. Taking Theo to seriously is a no go... OneLove
Bill always makes it awkward and confrontational
When? I must of missed it
Bill just calls out ppls bs for a living
Theo was being rude but maybe not on purpose, he should try letting guest finish a thought before jumping in
“Nope and I don’t have a gun in my helicopter” I’m crying 💀😂😂
Boss last word ;)
This is absolutely hilarious because Theo usually leads the conversation but Bill isn't having it 😂
I'm a huge fan of Bill Burr but hes just one of those guys that always thinks he's right even when he's wrong. Those kinds of people tend to not have alot of friends. It's a tiring thing to be around.
for sure
Bill burr didn’t understand that Theo is in character and that nothing he says is serious, it is intentionally and creatively improvised absurdity. It is satire that transcended bill’s plain of existence that day. Theo said he got his dick sucked in a Blackhawk helicopter and asked bill if he had guns in his, it is intentionally absurd and bill got upset which made it awkward. Bill is an all time great, he is just too serious to play off of Theo’s humor. The yin to his yang if you will.
@@MikeK-zq7cmOr maybe Bills knows this so he tries his best to make Theo break character. Because this is Bill’s character too.
Absolutely, I know somebody like this
He wasn’t wrong you’re just a big Theo Von fan 👍
i am a huge fan of and respect Bill Burr and i would never in a million years try to interact with him because something like this would probably happen
Bill bur seems like he'd be really hard to talk to. He always looks like he'd rather be somewhere else.
He's hard to talk to if you're an ignorant and soft moron. Everytime I've spoken with him he was great.
that's why he does a solo podcast
It’s so funny how he beats Theo up the whole time and tells him to get the fuck over it and work with people….. but does a solo podcast …. He rips Theo apart every chance he got … we get it bill you’ve got the bigger wee wee
Bill is deliberately putting Theo underneath him. He is trying to make him feel as small as possible. He is a POs
I love Theo's random comments, and I love it even more that Bill has no patience for them.
Yeah ' did you ever donate sperm? '' " No ,and I don't have a gun in my helicopter '
I love both of these guys, to see both of them clash so hard was tragic imo.

Joke WRLD for life. So happy to see where the channel is now and how much effort you put into the new content. Stay up king
Bill was hard on Theo, and to Theo’s credit he laughed at himself and was a good sport
Theo is the ADHD son and Bill is the tired father having a conversation
Nah, Theo's the chill guy, and bill is the prejudiced self-hating white cuck that takes everything personally and emotionally reacts while projecting that onto others.
I saw someone say that Bill is no nonsense and Theo is all nonsense haha
That sums it up well. 😆
😂😂😂😂
Good job Theo for being the mature one here
I absolutely love both Bill & Theo, this whole thing made me uncomfortable
Me too, it's like separate friends meeting , makes you nervous ha ha
@@richycrane2971 it’s like having two good friends that never met. Thinking they will hit it off but instead they hate each other.

bill burr is the kind of guy you cant really fool around with, he takes everything way too seriously, a dangerous mixture of intelligence and disregard for the other person
Yea I used to like him until I started seeing him in interviews and on podcasts. He's a piece of shit.
Idk if it’s more intelligent or most more industrious
@@soaked189 To be a talented comedian like Bill Burr I feel like you have to be above average intelligence. It's also displayed by his cynicism. Most of these comedian types are self-deprecating and will tell you that they're morons, or they'll play the persona of being non-educated, when the reality is actually the complete opposite, and I think that his intelligence is also the source of many of Bill's problems throughout his life (genuine unhappiness, non-sociability, alcoholism)

This is the closest i ever seen Bill to getting upset on a pod, if i didnt know Bill i would think he is an as$hole, but if i didnt know Theo i would also think he is weird... this is incredible

@@beenrue5672 You said cringe and you’re calling him cringe.
This podcast was filmed "nowadays". This podcast episode is nowhere near old. They don't work well together because Theo is a cool guy but he's soft and ignorant and those are two things that Bill doesn't do well with. Especially coming from a male comedian.
They r BOTH trying, and NOT trying to connect, its HILARIOUS! Like one goes for a hand shake, and another for a fist bump! Bill be like: 'Wait, are we hand shaking or fist bumping???... Ah who gives a shit. When is this over?? No wait, let me try.' 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Geezus Bill, freakin relax ffs man! Gets all butthurt because Theo can't relate to a TV show before his time?🤷♂️ And him not liking a movie you liked?!🤦♂️ I had a feeling these 2 wouldn't vibe. Because Bill's too literal, while Theo is anything but.
Awww
Bill doesn't do well when conversing with female comedians.
It's the ppl watching that need to relax. Soft as fuck
That’s Bill’s comedy. Roasting anything and everything about people. And it’s hilarious, but you’re a pussy
Yeah honestly, I'm more of a fan of Bill than of Theo but Bill was definitively a bit over the top here.
Bills face when he’s like “yeah no I don’t have a gun” 🤣
I love getting to see all the awesome interactions between different combinations of great comedians. So fun, so thought inducing, so funny. Great content.
Two of the best off the cuff comedians. Legends
Dude the beginning part literally mimics the interview Bill had with Mike Tyson where Mike was in Bill’s role that Bill is in here. He repeatedly tells Bill he knows why he acts a certain way and keeps trying to get him to admit why he does. And Burr gets uncomfortable with how open and forthright Tyson is being
I love both, but in my book the one winning here is the one not falling for the other one's character, the one having more fun the way he likes it, so a close win for Theo.
The thing about Bill though, is that he is such a fucking cretin about a load of topics, but if anyone tries to correct him then he will have a meltdown and bully them.
He needs to kill his ego, but I don't he can. He shadow has consumed his self.
Bill shutting down Theo is so fuckin brutal/hilarious 🤣 like he's shooting the clay pigeon before anyone's yelled "Pull!"
I personally didn't like Bill for the longest time due to my perception of him just being an angry asshole, something that I prefer to avoid, until I realized he is basically an American Jack Dee. He also talked about his behavior on this podcast and how he had misunderstood Theo's style (something common in a lot of people) and felt bad about his subsequent reaction to him. As to your assumption of my character and my supposed endorsement of bullying, bare in mind you have absolutely zero idea of who I am, so to judge someone based on a single RUclips is a very narrow-minded and unnuanced approach. 👍

7:22 - To tack “praise god, brother” on the end of THAT sentence. Theo’s f--g ceazy, man. 😂😂😂
I loved Once upon a time in hollywood but I totally get Theo's point.

Maybe there will be
It’s funny cause Bill says (as he always does when referring to moments where he was clearly annoyed and upset) that he had a great time doing this podcast and would do it again.
It's cause all this outrage is made up bullshit. Conflict is funny - they both know that and played it perfectly. It's almost as if they're top comedians or something. :)

Probably the most awkward thing I've ever laughed so hard at! I couldn't tell in the beginning if Bill was truly busting his balls or just playing...I think he was for real though lol
well his wife is black so the whole setting up of the story about africa was weird, and probably theo didnt know about bills wife otherwise he wouldnt have brought it there so early on
this is exactly it lol it left a bad taste in bills mouth where he had his defense all the way up and started hyper analyzing everything theo said

Great video; thank you fot purting it up!!!
I like Bill Burr as a comedian he's freaking hilarious I also believe that is who he is in real life but man the way he treated Theo was kind of f***** up
i think it also has to do with the fact that Bill grew up in the "bust your balls mercilessly" crew as well with patrice, kevin heart, jim norton, etc. and I don't think that's theo's background. I take it as divergant styles and genrations. just a thought.

Bill does this for so many of his interviews. I love Bill Burr because he can immediately find the parts of yourself that you also don't like and then make fun of you for it. Never have to play defense if you're all offense haha

The only way to survive an interview with Bill is to not take yourself too serious. Easier said than done.
This dynamic is like a peanut butter and sardine sandwich
Bill Burr changed after he got married. His post divorce comedy will be epic and reminiscent of his early good stuff.
It's so weird to me that a lot of Theo's humor is either not landing or going right passed Bill's head. This is so strange to watch, but entertaining. 😂
Like, how does "I've only been in a helicopter when there's guns", or "got a blowjob on an unsecure airfield in a blackhawk helicopter, from a FEMALE" not make Bill laugh
Right is it good or bad??
There are moments where they click when it comes to deeper less arbitrary stuff, but comedy wise they have no chemistry, Bill is not a relaxed man, where Theo is, Bill does not give a fuck about making someone feel comfortable. Also Bill gravitates toward craft, Theo gravitates toward feeling, like if they both watched The Revenant, Bill would probably praise Leo, where Theo would praise Hardy.

Theo saying he walked out of one upon a time in Hollywood is satire, it is a highly praised movie that he is trivializing satirically by brushing it off. It obviously works cause it triggered old bill here. It is all apart of theo’s character. Bill was making personal assumptions about someone in character…how do you know what serious, out of character theo would think of characters in a movie?
Bill has no idea what to make of Theo, this is great!
