      Sexual and financial.
It's a shame the life insurance company couldn't call please and say policies have been changed and the wife is now worth so much money when I'm just a truck driver. Especially because when you set up insurance, we look at everybody's contributions to the household.
Some people that murder for life insurance have insurance through other companies. But this seems to be from what they've said one company.
We all want to make sure our kids have college funds or whatever. But it's so unusual in my thinking that a truck driver would want this. Especially if he's concerned enough that the family be cared for. You would think he would make sure his insurance is in place and quadrupled or whatever

@@insanitycompromiseentertai7665I agree 100%. To me it wouldn't matter if that was her birth mother or Foster mom.
How hard would it be to manipulate a child that's never known any great stability? And then you twist things even more in her mind by making it a sexual relationship. I would bet money this child is probably been molested sexuality before. But even if not, she was still a child that doesn't know a normal family dynamic.
Most of us grow up and it never occurs to us that we would be taken away from the family we live with. Not to say parents don't divorce and things are divided. But when you have something like that looming over you I can't imagine what this kid must have felt.

I hate so much that jealousy clouded Lisa’s better judgement. I’m in no way victim blaming; rather, I’m afraid many women may have had a similar response. But working in *that very field* and knowing he groomed her and then directing the anger toward the child in that scenario is so sad.
Sabrina should’ve been protected, embraced and surrounded by family - not isolated and most importantly, Kevin should’ve been reported to the authorities because he’s a pedophile.
I can’t imagine how hard this was for Lisa, she must’ve been absolutely devastated. Betrayal is the worst but what Kevin did is a whole different level of disgusting.
Look at Megan, though! What a beautiful and brilliant young woman she’s turned into. Lisa would be so proud of her. I mean, I’m proud of her!

Honestly Meghan needs to get some really intense therapy if she's ever going to have a happy life. The level of bitterness and the hardness in her at her age is horrifying. I understand that what she's been through is more trauma than anyone should ever have to deal with but she needs to start dealing with it. Her mother was not a saint. She took in a vulnerable teenager and, rather than protect her when she found out that she was being SA'ed by her pedophile husband, she got jealous of her and locked her up, preventing her from finding help or at least comfort elsewhere. I'm not saying she deserved what happened, I'm saying Meghan needs to recognize that her mother was a fallable human, Sabrina was victimized, and holding on to all that rage is going to ruin her life. It's not hurting anyone but her. I really hope she gets some help.
I wonder how the little one is doing.

Not saying it was right, but maybe Lisa was in denial that it was actually happening in her home. Imagine being a social worker and realizing the man you're married to and love is possibly doing the same things as the people you've removed kids from. Plus, a lot of times, you're guilty by association. You don't commit any crimes or abuse, but you're treated the same as the one doing it because you're in the same home. Again, not saying it was right and there's no excuse at all for not reporting him if she suspected, but I imagine she may have been scared about being lumped in with him if she voiced concerns with dcf and risk her own kids being removed from her while hoping it wasn't true.

Only to lose that child to a judges family member or friend. Even going so far as to break protocol and have that baby adopted off within months while the case is still open.

The only person in this situation that I do NOT feel sorry for is the Father. Megan and her sister have lost their Mother, and will have to live with the trauma of what they witnessed, and living without their Mother, for the rest of their lives. But I also feel so badly for Sabrina, and I feel like her remorse is genuine. She realizes what a horrific thing she did, and will have to live with that for the rest of her life.
That said, I certainly understand why Megan can't forgive Sabrina. As a society, we insist on "turning the other cheek" way too much. Megan has been through a nightmare situation, and has no reason to forgive. She has taken her trauma and turned it into her strength, to help others, and become a strong young woman in her own right. Even if she understands the reasons for why Sabrina did what she did, even if she understands that Sabrina is genuinely sorry for what happened, it's within her own rights to deny forgiveness.
Sabrina will not only need to be remorseful for her actions, but she will need to understand that Megan can't forgive her for it. That's a very hard pill to swallow. She has to live with her actions for the rest of her life, and recognize that some things just can't be undone.

Before people get outraged about 'badmouthing the dead' or 'victim blaming'-- it was genuinely bad parenting and gross negligence to allow a pedophile to remain in the same house as the girl he is already assaulting. But to have a background in cases like it-- I am beyond baffled at her response. Maybe it was due to the shock and horror of living under the same roof as this kind of man, or raising so many young girls around him and worrying about them seeing, or maybe it was disgust and shame that she was married to such a creep that kept her silent but... Sabrina is a victim. He groomed her to murder, just as he did to control her sexually. And that was by putting her back in foster care or on the streets. Foster children are the most vulnerable. She shows absolute remorse and admitted everything with her own life on the line. Not hiding anything anymore. Surely, she was interviewed by male investigators, even during the proffer, and she most likely being sexually and physically abused since a young child. She has known nothing more but submission or the worst. She was the perfect target to do anything he wanted.
The sister, I understand her pain, but being in criminal justice in college, she should understand the background and take into account every detail of a teenage child who had been subjected to such atrocities prior to being placed there and that this man preyed upon her to this extent. She was a child in the foster care system who was taken out of trauma only to be introduced to more trauma. She plead guilty and will spend the rest of her life and it truly is not her fault and she does seem truly remorseful. She lives in misery everyday and blames herself. It was that grown mans fault.

I have lost my twin, younger sister, and son. Each I deal with differently on who played what parts. For my younger sister, dying at 23, funeral on 24th birthday, is a hard one. She left behind a two and four year old. The drunk driver showed no remorse. His family paid his bail and he spent 2 days in jail after only a broken leg. After, he was seen in a bar drinking with his leg propped up. Broke conditions of bond numerous times, on camera the girlfriend and mother breathing into a breathalyzer. He was speeding a 100+ miles extremely intoxicated and my sister died instantly, such a forceful impact her seatbelt couldn't save her, it was shattered, thrown in the floorboard in fetal position with a piece of metal through her chest severing one of the two main arteries. I do hope she died instantly. He did not want to accept a plea deal. Therefore three years after we went through a trial for a week listening to details loved ones and I can never unheard. My parents having to walk out with the photos of her body taken out with the jaws of life, the medical examiner explaining every detail of the autopsy, first responders, officers, even the head of ER arguing with the defense in respect to my sister and the injuries sustained on another victim, surviving barely, and barely to this day.
He received 2 years for my sister and 10 years probation for the survivor, in which the judge reduced to 5. The attorneys and judge had a history and the jury bought their charm hook line and sinker.
Now he advocates for prisoners rights. Never mentioning what he did. But with that this is the first time I have thought about him. And I find him more a killer than this young teenage girl.
