Going on a 5 year vampire masquerade campaign currently we are dealing with a war with clan tremer and clan Giovanni since the salubri and Cappadocians returned to modern age and in our campaign have successfully partitioned the camarilla for the blood hunt against Giovanni and tremer
This is a really cool list with a lot of awesome characters, another cool Cappadocian is Apacia who is an a very off brand Cappadocian basically being a warrior Cappadocian and the closest thing there is to a Cappadocian antitiribu who was able to take on an survive the childer of Cappadociaus himself despite being younger and of a higher generation. Keep up the good work
@@lazarofstygia2241 Yeah off brand characters that still encompass the clan somehow are some of my favorite characters and are usually some of the most interesting
My favorite clan. Vampire monks is just awesome to me. I think they'd struggle with the modern nights but they'd endure and have a three-way schism between the old Path of Bones, the more church-like members, and the "New Path of Bones" that Cappadocius would have to sort out.
@@alexandrucatalindragan6842 It'd still be usable. Issue is I'm not sure how many would take to it in the modern nights as it's a different ethics model than the most common ones in the modern nights. It requires a different, almost impersonal, way of thinking that while possible for a lot of vampires trying to keep their human side intact may find too monstrous. (Still a much better path than what the Tzimicze follow but still)
I like the idea that 'Capuchin' is an identity used by certain elders when necessary. A sort of conspiracy or collusion to do something, like gain the means to revenge against the Giovani for example. Different storytellers might use this differently, but this is what I would do.
I agree with the Capuchin assessment, always assume that both Japheth and Lazarus were running around using the same identity. Except I assume Japheth was never really diablerie because it wouldn't be the first time a diablerie was faked. It seem a safer thing to fake a death then to assume Japheth's soul can be successfully preserved.

IMO regarding Byzar/Mahatma IF he’s working with Japheth and Lazarus he’s probably more a “man on the inside” since he’s a monitor of the inconnu which was considered to be a secretive sect of vampires who wields a lot of political power so the role he would play there would be more political and makes sure nobody interferes with the plans of Japheth and Lazarus but I don’t think he’s one of the capuchins. As for the Byzantine emperors this is more irl history but a lot of their tombs have been destroyed or turned into mosques with the bodies thrown out plus during both the 1204 sack and the 1453 fall of Constantinople the vampires who came in and help took the city might have either discovered it and burn the whole thing down or it may have been accidentally destroyed during the sacking or in later years Edit: From what I've read up I think the corpses of the emperors (their actual vampire ones) was implied to be destroyed along with Alexia Theusa herself if I remember correctly
A thing that bothers me a lot about Capadocian/Salubri mass diablery is how millenia vampires are so easily killed by some new born 4th and 5th generation vampires. That simply dont fit by the system rules. No matter how depressive or disgusted by a cursed existence makes them so easily killed, and in modern nights some look virtually like gods. Look like a forced plot thing to me.
They're not but Cappadocius welcomed his diablerie to Giovanni as a grand scheme to achieve God-Hood, Saulot was in Torpor and theories suggest that he also wished to be diablerized due to Salubri's history of diablerie with their members.

Honestly it would have been better for it to be a sub-faction or secret society then a reboot clan. It already functions more like a secret society. But it's not the worst offense of V5.

Sounds interesting. Warrior Cappadocian is a different character, since they usually relied on the Ventrue for protection.

Maria Asuncion's story is pretty inspiring and bad ass, if its true (in the lore).
Dionysus was a G.
No Lameth “the Dark Messiah”? The man invented golconda in a bottle; that should get him in here somewhere
Unfortunately I don't have the Red Death series so I couldn't research Cappadocius' fourth son.
