    Hi. The external side chain explanation wasn't so clear in the video.
    The Kick triggered the SPL in the Bass channel ? & if you also use both the "sd on" & "sd ext" so now the kick triggered only desired frequencies in the bass channel ??

    I quite started to like the new 4-band envelope shaper of Cubase Pro 9 - ideal for removing "plops" from guitar picking and Piano hammers while increasing the "ringyness" of the strings. I guess you could use side chain mode of this SPL plugin for the same purpose, although you would need multiple instances...

      Yes, if you needed more than 2 bands.

      I think one of the problems of having only 2 bands (alloy/neutron style) is that they reach out to the complete low and high ends which is not always what you want. You may want to have 2 bands with defined "edge" points.

      +vanderlei sperandio Same basic idea but Trans X only manages control of the transient not the sustain. SPL also has a more intelligent detection engine for processing.
