BarSoap Guy Spain. In regular supermarkets they usually have Dove White, the supermarket brand's soap, and Marseille soap cubes. And they are usually all marketed as just hand soap. There are usually some specialty shops in comercial zones in big cities (L'occitane, Body shop...) that also sell (super expensive) bar soap. But in regular supermarkets, Dove White and no much more. People prefeer body wash.
that's sad to hear about the disappearance of bar soap from markets in Spain ...For hundreds of years bar soap existed in Europe ....I am suprised by this though considering the affordable price vs body wash ... ah well , there's an old saying " everything old will one day be new again "
BarSoap Guy I also feel that they are slowly comming back, specially thanks to "enviromentally friendly" movements getting more and more popular that like that soap bars come usually wrapped in cardboard or little plastic and last much more compared to body wash. Meanwhile I'll watch tour channel yo know witch soap to try when I can ;)
BarSoap Guy I wish it 'll be new again some day.The same status in Greece since '90s:variety of bar soaps's rare to choose+find in popular super-markets,because shower gels/foam baths/liquid soaps(body washes as called in the U.S.),are always what most costumers prefer to use. Wishes!
This is my ultimate favorite!! I just bought some soap from Aldi called Source. I think it's a knockoff of Dove soap. It's a 4 oz bar and you get 2 for $1.99 plus tax. Will you please try this soap! It's a strong scent, the lather was ok and it left my face and hands lightly mosterised. Ok I can't spell. The Olay soap is soooo much better than Aldi soap.
Will you please try the Olay age defying "With 10 times the mosterised vs regular soap." I would like "The Bar Soap Guy" or the cleanist Man in the world!!! I really would love to know your thoughts and opinions! Please!!!
I just don't understand why moisture means so much to men. I thought men wouldn't fuss about that too much, when it comes to men's soap, it should have a very strong masculine scent and the power of odor combat ingredients, stop focusing so much on moisture.
Some men care about having moisturized skin others don't . However in the winter time when skin dries out it probably becomes more of a priority for folks .
@@BarSoapGuy You're right, but it's just in the past, I just don't recall seeing much hygiene products for men with concern about skin moisturizer, it's always been women that were concerned. Nowadays, they just don't make anything anymore, men's soaps, Deodorant, shower gels, colognes is just not masculine, you just don't smell and feel the masculinity in today's products.., today it has a light, fresh, floral scent, and hints of feminine notes to it..., Ughh 🤢
Well they do but they're just more expensive, I'm sure you're familar with the feminine tax on "pink" products etc ..well when it comes to the soap world it's the opposite, women have been SO well served by soap makers that the variety available to them is literally vast , which leads to competition thus driving down prices . I'd say only recently have producers started to pay attention to men's bathing products . ( historically women have chosen the products that men will bathe with ) . There are some affordable masculine products from Axe - old Spice (but not nearly as many options as women have ) but when Mom's continue to buy their boys products like Dove white, ivory, irish Spring, etc it's just difficult to get guys excited about the shower experience and they Go on using what mom got lol ..
@@BarSoapGuy That's true, I just wish so much that they will bring back Shield and Gillette Cool Wave body wash, Old Spice Odor Blocker, some of Axe body wash like "Black" it smells great but the scent is subtle, and again some of their other body washes has a fruity scent, I hate it, but that's what's out there.
I'm a female and I love men's body washes, soaps and Deodorant, growing up in the 80s, I used to go out with my mom and brother, and we would go into a department store and I was always in the soap and Deodorant section, I was about 13 in 1987, and I recall seeing Shield, Sure deodorant, you don't see too much that either, even deodorant by Mennen, Regular, Musk, Herbal, Sport Talc scented you don't see much. Brut "Faberge", brand smells so much better than the current brand (trash) they have now.. Chaps cologne they don't make anymore, don't understand why.. But, I appreciate your time and response.. I usually use this in summer. Gives me a refreshed feeling! During cold weather i use the body wash
