  • We did a special live streaming of the night sky over Maunakea, Hawaii, to show the Perseid Meteor Shower activity over RUclips. This is the 15x time-lapse view of the observation's start and end. You can see the enclosure of the Subaru Telescope opens and closes, with many small artificial satellites in the sky.
A "train" of the STARLINK Satellites launched a day earlier by SpaceX are clearly visible at 1:22.
Subaru Telescope is located at the summit area of Maunakea, Hawaii (4200m). The area is one of the best sites for astronomical observation in the world.
The video was live-streamed on August 11, 2023 (HST). The archived live footage can be found below.

All the "moving" objects are definitely satellites, as is described in the description. In the time-lapse view, meteors will appear momentary. We can see some of them at the second part of the video (4:35-).
