    Sorry to those who commented and already watched this video once... I had to delete it yesterday and Re-upload it because something went wrong with the upload so it was in poor video quality.
    This is why it is now out of order from my other skidsteer series videos.
    Thanks

    I am working on a gehl 4835. The oil drain plug is under the rear bottom plate. I removed the plate and the drain plug was right there with a large Allen wrench for the plug! After removing filter and re-installing I put 8 quarts of oil in. The book says that the chain case is also due at this hour mark. According to the 4835 gehl book, it appears that you drained the rear chain case on that side, which also takes same engine oil!

      Thanks man, I did this job awhile ago so I can’t fully remember but I’m pretty positive i changed the engine oil, after I drained it I checked my dipstick and it was empty. My GEHL was Oil cooled not water cooled. They made some oil cooled ones and some water cooled.. the water cooled engines are better, lower maintinance and faster starting/warm up times and takes less engine oil too.. this may be why your drain plug was different than mine but the rest of the machine should be very similar. The DUTZ engines are great engines they will run forever but a lot of them are hard starting and burn oil.. after I added the oil additives to mine I no longer had a smoking issue and ended up trading this skidsteer for the Cummins pickup I still drive and use today in my videos. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

      @@BiffsEquipment Best hundred bucks I ever spent for my back from Walmart I cant tell you how many times I got off work as a delivery driver for Menards in Minot delivering in the oil fields thinkin about going to a Chiropractor $30-50/hr n got on that bat hangin board and instant relief in seconds or minutes sometimes hearing my back pop into place another thing is a "tens unit" its like electrical stimulous very low voltage id guess less then a hundred bucks as well. I got oneoff ebay that is dangerous u control the current but you gotta be careful mine had 3- 9 volt batteries almost like touching an electric fence. Gehl are famous for forklifts any way mostly telehandlers high lift so parts should be easy to find or things like grapplers for round bails n such since ur a farm guy another thing to consider find u some old tractor tires n u might be able to wrap them around ur two tires so u can have a track type effect in the winter for better traction Ive seen it before some place can be slick as hell and a lot cheaper then buying tracks for a skid steer. shhh keep this quiet though more then one way to skin a cat or a fish

    Hi I have a 2010 Gehl 4840 e turbo I can only find two grease zerk fittings on the quick attach is that normal? My old bobcat had a bunch of them?

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  Год назад

      No it sounds like most of them got broken off, you’ll have to locate the manual or the grease points online and find the broken grease fittings and use a tap to get them out and thread new fittings back in their places so you can grease it all once again. Often they get covered by mud or debris too. You should for sure have at least 4-8 between the curl cylinders and the boom cylinders themselves and I’m sure more in the engine compartment on other moving parts

      Very cool! The fuses on mine were located under the instrument panels inside the cab.. like behind the panel for my heater controls and all that were

    Maybe a dumb question, but this machine has a diesel engine, right? I'd like to do the same fuel flush on mine if able.

      Jamie Policky hey Jamie yep it had a Deutz Diesel engine.. you can run any Diesel engine off straight seafoam it won’t hurt it .. does wonders for the injectors/engine

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  2 года назад

      There was a special site I had to go to for parts, I think it was a German site or something I can’t remember. If you do some Google searching you should be able to find it.. there was one site that has everything for this machine but it’s been so long I can’t remember the name of it

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  2 года назад +1

      @@samialkhathami7157 I don’t think mine had a dipstick, it only had a sight window, there should be something on the front or back side of the tank.. if you go online you’ll be able to download the manual for your machine, that’s what I did 👍🏻

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  3 года назад

      I can’t really remember as I did this job a long time ago and no longer own the skidsteer, if you skim through the whole video you’ll see where I replace the oil filter.. I believe it’s towards the rear end of the machine at the rear of the motor somewhere from what I can remember.

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  2 года назад +1

      @@rocket2811 it should take quite a bit as most skidsteers do. When I did mine I bought a 5 gallon bucket. You could always start with a gallon and buy more if you need it or get a 5 gallon bucket and keep the extra sitting around for if you ever need it again. Try to figure out how much oil you lost to begin with when the clamp fell off
