      @@foxzillax5745 It would be nice if we had a group like the minutemen again, but i do know that are local militia groups apparently out there in each state. But I think at the end of the day what matters most is everday citizens owning & carrying firearms, truth is the government despite their rhetoric would never think to disarm 100 million americans of their firearms, roughly 20 million being ar-15s alone, instead what they attempt it to do is take our rights away in small tidbits knowing we won't fuss as much over it & attempt to use propaganda & media to convince as many as they can to oppose private firearm ownership.

      Exactly it is to make law abiding citizens into criminals so they can strip the right of the people who are willing to do the right thing, follow the constitution, and stand up against tyranny because all of those groups make it harder for the government/NGO’s/central bankers to have total control over a population. They want to ensure everyone is near poverty or in poverty and don’t have the means to defend themselves so that it is easy for a tyrannical government to just run over the people that they want to oppress/subjugate/steal assets of the “opposition” (the opposition is everyone who isn’t apart of the 0.01% of the wealthiest people in control and maybe the other .09-.99% of the people who do the dirty work for the wealthiest people by acting like they’re doing everything all on their own so that they can keep enough distance to claim to be ignorant of the issues.).

    Uncle Joey, deer aren't the ones breaking into our homes threatening our families, deer aren't the ones shooting up "gun free zones" and deer aren't the dangerous criminals you've released back onto our streets who are threatening our families. Those are the ones who are often wearing body armor. As any moron knows, the best way to defeat multiple threats is with a gun that has enough firepower to put down multiple threats. A double barreled shotgun will leave a victim lacking when several threats show up at the door. Lastly, as many others here have already brought up, the real threats will completely ignore your bans and the law abiding will be left defenseless against multiple attackers. To be clear Uncle Joey, your policies are the biggest threat our society faces. This point has been clearly demonstrated by F.B.I. and other law enforcement records. You know, the ones that show what tools are actually most often used to commit murders. Blunt objects and hands and feet to mention just a couple. These both kill more people in America than all rifles combined of which your so called "assault weapons" only comprise a small fraction.

    The right to self defense.
    When bullets fly through the air, they do so at amazing speeds. The fastest bullets travel more than 2,600 feet per second.
    Explain how an unarmed person, confronted by a bad guy with a weapon or , baseball batt, knife, etc.
    A outruns a bullet.
    B has time to get the phone out.
    C has the calm or wherewithal to call law enforcement.
    The bullet travels over 1,800 miles per hour. To put that in perspective, it's amazing to realize that bullets travel over twice the speed of sound
    Explain how law enforcement is supposed to travel faster than a bullet traveling 1,800 mph to save a life.
    Even if they get a call.
    Sadly Innocent people everywhere are defenseless, when confronted by the bad guy .
    There is no superman or super hero like on TV faster than a speeding bullet to save the day.
    Why don't politicians who believe in firearm control give up their weapons and have body gaurds without weapons.
    This is why I believe in the second amendment and self defense.
    You are your own first responder.

    • @cassiespencer6134
      @cassiespencer6134 Год назад +1

      "The fastest bullets travel more than 2,600 feet per second." In fact the fastest rounds are significantly faster than that. For example I have commercially available varmint rounds that exceed 4300 fps. Note: they're relatively small bullets @ .17 caliber, although at that velocity they don't need to be larger.
      Taking it to another level, a grain of sand traveling at the speed of light (186,000 miles per second), assuming for the moment it isn't vaporized upon entering the Earth's atmosphere would, upon impact, have the destructive force of ~750 tons of TNT.

      Reckless as well. This logic defies the basic rules of gun safety "know what you're shooting at." For the TV show, Gunsmoke, they were shooting blanks.
      Realistically, would a barkeep keep a shotgun with blanks behind the counter? If she did not want to totally injure anyone, she should've just had rock salt or sand in the cartridges and fired it directly at the violent bar patrons. It would get their attention. The only problem is that they would most likely fire back at her so she would have to be sure to aim for their gun hand. If this was a realistic situation, she probably had quite a few shot blasts through the ceiling above her. Not the room you'd want to be renting (LOL).

      If the Frame/Receiver Definition regulations is any indication that it passed even after comments, it is very plausible it will pass as well with modifications after comments. However, as stated, it would only be needed for "Grandfathered Assault Weapons" since if the AWB passes, there won't be much available to put install a pistol brace on.
      Also, as a reminder, the proposed Pistol Braces regulations do not make them illegal to sell or purchase. The worksheet will be utilized to determine if the final firearm will move into the SBR class with a series of ridiculous prerequisites and accessory characteristics making it illegal with a pistol brace. Get 4 points...get a felony.

      @@2ndAmendmentWholesale thank you for the detailed response, my friend.
      I just really don't feel like buying an AR pistol, then being slammed with the requirement of having to register it as a SBR so I can keep a brace on it. Seems to create more problems than it's worth.
      And saying this, would it just be smarter to get the "LESS LETHAL" full-sized rifle variant?
      I suppose you can't really direct someone either way, but I'll also admit that you have far more knowledge than I, and I take your "advice" highly.

    • @2ndAmendmentWholesale
      @2ndAmendmentWholesale  Год назад +2

      Appreciate the discussion. It depends on what you are looking to do with the AR Pistol as to whether you should just buy the "Less Lethal" full size (nice joke there). And that, my friend, is a very deep rabbit hole. In it's simplest form though....shorter length, better for close quarters not necessarily as good for distance shooting plus 200-300 yards....longer length will be the exact opposite and then there's the entire discussion about suppression. Start the thought process like that and maybe it will help you come to your conclusion.

      @@2ndAmendmentWholesale I definitely want the pistol variant more than the full-sized. But I meant "smarter" as in... Is it even worth going through the trouble to get the pistol, knowing full well what might be coming.

    With this rule, an individual has "manufactured" a receiver by simply purchasing an "80%" and jig separately, and then placing them in the vicinity of one another.
    Since at that point, it is legally considered a firearm by the ATF, there should be no issue with dropping the "firearm" off to a gunsmith to have all of the machining completed, as long as it is not left overnight, right? I feel like they've just created a massive unintentional loophole there..

      @@2ndAmendmentWholesale This rule change states that PMFs only need to be serialized by an FFL if it needs to be entered into their A&D Log. Since same day gunsmithing does not require a firearm to be entered into an FFL's books, it sure looks like the ATF managed to make it possible to legally have a gunsmith machine an "80%" and return it without serializing or recording it.
      Prior to this it would have been considered manufacturing a firearm, requiring an 07 FFL and entry into a bound book; now it is already considered a firearm once paired with a jig, so the work would just be gunsmithing.
