I must ask, what microphone do you use while recording the voiceover? The sound is amazingly clear. Got an idea to do a similar how-to video to show a few things you can do with the CIC Profi Navi and the Snap-In adapter
Miro nebitno oh that’s interesting, I’ve subscribed to see how you get on. I just used my iPhone 7 Plus using the standard voice memo mode :) it seems to have a better sound when I record the voice over on a soft surface, when i used a solid surface it echoed more. I also speak about 15-20cm from the phone.
Oh great, I've always wondered how to replace a cabin air filter on your BMW F21 series, although I prefer to call it a pollen filter or a cabin micro filter!!! Thanks for explaining in such a clear and practical way!!!
That would be really great, I'd like to see how to change the seats from that standard cheap looking leather to a more regal looking Alligator leather, I might actually buy that one if you could arrange that for me!!!
Great video, the dealership i go to should watch this video so that they can see how to fit the trim back after changing the filter......bmw mechanics, incompetent as always
Hi Matt, I’m just changing this but when I pulled it out my arrow was pointing towards the driver whereas yours was towards the engine, how would I know exactly which way it is? I’m base in England if that makes a difference?
What's weird is I replaced the Bosch filter that was inside with a Mahle alternative (I've heard from people in the business that Mahle filters are better than Bosch). I noticed that on the Mahle filter, the arrows (pointing out the airflow, just the same as on the Bosch one) point indeed to the front of the car (counterintuitively), but with the Mahle filter, the side with the perforations in the fabric were on the other side compared to the Bosch one (back of the airflow with Bosch = side the arrow is pointing towards, and the other side with the Mahle filter). Either way I just followed the arrow directions but I wonder if one of the two is wrong, or none of them is, or that maybe it doesn't even really matter...
Thank you for a nice short video. Very interesting. Why are you using Bosch filter and not the original BMW one? Is it much difference and why? Thank you for your reply in advance
Alla Blackcat thank you for your comment. :D The main reason for me was price. I read a lot of information about the filters and a lot of people recommend the Bosch one. One aftermarket filter I didn’t like thou was the air filter in my other video. I should of gone for a BMW one for ease of replacement :) The products that I use thou, are ones that BMW also say are good :)
Alla Blackcat it was a Hengst air filter. I could be just me, but it was harder to get it, lined up in the airbox. :) to be honest thou, it’s not the best air filter box bmw made. The older cars are much simpler and quicker :)
I just used the exact same one the Bosch R5503, the main difference is price compared to the MANN one and the quality looks the same. The old one I taken out was as dirty as yours so glad I done it
Fatih KINIK hey it’s a 116i (the N13 engine). The N13 is used in the older 114i 116i 118i and the first of the 120i. This diy will work in all the f2X :)
Very nice, thank you!
Searched for a video where I can see the disassembly to clean my AC
Miro nebitno thank you so much for the feedback. :D I really appreciate feed back :) if you have any questions please feel free to ask :)

lol I have the same phone, did you use the mic on the ear phones to record or did you do it without?
Miro nebitno oh that’s lucky :D. I have never used the mic / earphones on this iPhone :)

kc4ril haha. Maybe i can make some diy videos on my friends Porsche Cayman, since I know you want to buy one :)

I am a 11 year old boy and I change the carbin filter on my mum's car thanks to ur instructions 🏎️♠️🚓🚔🚗 from my dad's account
That is awesome. Please keep it up! it will save you a lot of money in the future :)
I bet your mum is happy!
Take care. Matt

Long live Mr Matts Beamer 👍

Good luck :) it’s much easier than the mk3 Skoda Octavia I filmed. That was awful, lol :)
Great video, always a value to have tutorials on hand

Thank you for the feed back. I’m glad this video is of some use :)
is the arrow not supposed to go towards the driver. as the airflow is going towards you - not away ?
Thanks for the handy vid, I would have spent ages looking for it. Stupid bmw designers have to bolt everything down..
I am glad it was useful for you. Thanks for the message :D
Very nice videos. I like your dialect. Regards from Sweden
Lars Cajvall thank you so much for your kind message. It’s nice to hear feed back, and that they help :) take care and keep safe :)

In the previous generation e87 it was much more convenient to replace the filter.

Thank you. I have no idea :) I am very interested now. When I change it I must try the mahle. Cheers :)

mattsbeamer What was wrong with that after market filter? Do you remember the make of it?

You're welcome :)
It places the lotion in the basket......
your car is not f21 it is f20. f21s are the ones with face lift.
Fatih KINIK i never said my car was a f21:). It’s a pre lci f20. F21 is the 3 door
Fatih KINIK
I see where you thought I said F21. At the start I say f20 1 series :) not f21 series :) they both sound the same
mattsbeamer is it 114i or 116i? You never mention that?
