How big is that table? I am interested in building a gametable for old world (and other stuff like Risk etc) but I don't know the ideal size.

6' x 4' is the a good size for most wargames. Some smaller games (1000pts or fewer in Warhammer) can be played on a 4x4

Can you do a match of just crazy amounts of magic? Just as much magic as you can legally fit into an army. Then with a lot of junk core.

I am fairly sure dwarfs don't get that penalty to pursuit/flee in that edition
