Kobe and kwame brown couldve made this list. I remember when they combined for 84 points one game
Ahhh the kwamemes
Lol
no??? kwame wasnt even the 2nd best player on the lakers
@@hs000wbaiter6 he was first best.
hs000w baiter yes he was the best, should be a hall of famer
On Nash and Stoudamire: "Even their defense complimented each other....they were both terrible." Damn Andy 🤣🤣🤣
That was the 2000's Suns only problem
@@LowBudgetJustinY lol yeah, they're philosophy was "If we can keep scoring, the other team won't catch up". But if defenses did just enough, the Suns had no defense to stop the other team. Their only real defender was Marion.
@@doccholo905 Raja Bell was also a very good defender.
Loved it!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Andy just went in on the both of them 🤣🤣 but he's not lying.. Even though both were scoring machines but they did suck on defense..

You should do how good was Jason Williams “white chocolate” in the NBA.
Criminally underrated but doesn’t get respect because he didn’t play defense
Best years were early in his career
Kenneth Lindsey Underrated or overrated because he was a flashy passer? Chris Webber, who played with him, said he would take Mike Bibby over White Chocolate.
Kenneth Lindsey not really. He’s known for what he was, a flashy passer
He shouldn't do it because everyone is doing it. Theres an oversaturation of jason Williams vids
Chris Paul and James Harden has legit shots in two seasons.
they dont play together anymore
They played 2 seasons only but yeah
Legit shots to do what? Get to the second round?
@@markcrandley8061 did you already forget they made it to the wcf and pushed the warriors to 7
They had No Chance in 2nd Year
Olajuwon and Sampson should be in the list.
yeah
Kwasi Ayokunle Alexander Lokosu some people may not agree with this but harden and cp3 should have won the title in the two years they were together
olajuwon did win a ring stupid
@Millian Macalintal tim duncan and robinson won a ring together
@@hs000wbaiter6 u are right hakeem did won the title but WITHOUT sampson
I haven’t seen the vid yet but I feel like this is the most obvious #1 ever. Stockton and Malone r GOATed
I respect malones game but not him
Malone the GOAT choker
All of Malone’s kids have a different opinion then you on that
@@braxtonjones4864 his kids can't argue with facts boi
in my opinion the sonics had the best duo ever with gary payton and shawn kemp (not in talent, in a mix of talent, enjoyability, etc) but stockton and malone are second (although malone isnt second as a human being)
T-MAC man truly that was sad , and yeah those heartbreaking injuries too
bruce lau Remember when he blew a 3-1lead? Lol
For the magic vs det. He put his foot in his mouth when he said if they lose its on him.
I know y’all are here bashing T-Mac but back then he was my favorite player. So politely kiss my ASS!!!
the 2009 rockets with just yao probably make the finals...give them t mac back by the west finals they probably win it all
Man well Nash and Amare Stoudemire was gonna be on this list , they really had bad luck big time
IMO if not had that shit play by hory i think nash will go to final appearance
If the league would have gotten their collective head out of its ass and not suspended Amare and whomever else did for coming off the bench the Suns would have won it all that year.
@@scuba602 if my aunt had balls he would be my uncle.
They didn't play any defense, had nothing to do with luck, they just weren't good enough.
You mentioned Elgin Baylor. I think I remembered reading somewhere that Elgin retired because he could sense he couldn't help the team and they were struggling. When he did, they took off on a ridiculous win streak and then won the title.
Durant and Westbrook. A duo that had chances multiple times to win the title. That 2012 run was crazy. Got past the Lakers, Got past the heavily favored Spur’s, and than they ran into a juggernaut in the Miami Heat. Fast forward to 2016. They were matched up with arguably the greatest team to ever assemble in the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Final’s and they crumbled. And we all know what happened next. It’s a shame that they could never win the title.
2 iso guys, thats why, they ended up not trusting their team and ball hogging, and that ended up costing them years and years
Tell the whole story yes 12, 14, and 16 they could have won. But 2013 Westbrook blew out his knee. 2015 Durant and Westbrook both missed too many games and missed the playoffs. 14 WCF was winnable against the spurs but ibaka didn’t play the first two games.
@@Kirbystare1992 16 still hurts
the warriors for 3 of those 4 games looked toast in 2016...they were not the greatest team ever..trust me...they had the best record but that doesn't mean shit...they had back to back 7 game series...and lost...that doesn't make them one of the best ever..the 2013 heat won 66 and went 7 twice...and won..we don't put them in the top 5 all time teams..some may not even have them top 10...that warriors team was not the same cause as everyone forgets curry got hurt missed round 1 and 2 games in round 2...and they went 6-1 without him so his injury effected their season and dominance...now the fact theyw on 6 out of 7 games without him proves that was a great team but all time?..they would lose to like 15 different teams so no they are not the best
ain’t no way you said they ain’t one of the greatest teams 🤦🏽♂️
I actually think Barkley's Suns were closer to beating Jordan than the Sonics were.
if cedric ceballos was never hurt they win that series....he was huge and missing all series long...
agreed. That 1993 finals was awesome.
I think you can tie them because let's be honest jordan won them in 6 so not close close but close.
They were trying to come back from being down three to one Bull's weren't going to lose three in a row with or without Ceballos even if Pax misses that shot I think the Bulls get in back home in game 7 just my opinion though. I did really like that team though.
I would say 1998's Jazz, after Pipen's injured and Jordan was tired after doing everything, if Jordan hasn't done that legendary play when he steal Malone's ball and hit the most legendary and important shot in NBA history, if that series went to 7 games, the Jazz would have won it.
*Video Idea* : Greatest Playoff/Finals Performances Ever
As bias a ppl are number 1 would have to be Tim Duncan title clinching quad double against the Nets if that was a video. But I'm sure ppl will laugh at this thought.
Game 6 Klay
Imagine If Shaq & Penny Stayed in Orlando and T-MAC ARRIVES MAKING THE BEST TRIO OF ALL TIME !!!
Imagine tim duncan going to orlando after his rookie contract finished and yes Tim duncan wanted to go to orlando because of grant hill (Before his injuries) and t-mac IMAGINE THAT BIG 3 THEY WOULD HAVE MORE THAN 2 RINGS
But doc rivers (who was the coach at the time) Was An idiot. Tim asked if his family can go to the team flights but DOC SAID NO
You should do next how good was
Suggestions:
Stephen Jackson
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Jason Williams
Jermaine O’neal
Ron Artest
Elton Brand
Andy uploaded the Jason Williams one 12 hours ago.
How good were they in a fight?
Ron Artest was a great defensive player
96 Sonics were so good you have to mention they kept Hakeem to only 18 points, man won back to back rings for Houston in 94 and 95 and he looked helpless against them and got swept.
It’s crazy that Westbrook and KD could never do it, and when they had the chance in 2016 they underperformed severely
“Underperformed severely”..... They lost by 8 in game 7, why y’all love exaggerating so much... I’m a rockets fan, do you want me to give you real examples of “underperforming severely” lmao....
Ray W they played poorly in 6 and 7
ZACKSTACK1204 They lost by 7 points in game 6 and 8 points in game 7... If they UNDERPERFORMED SEVERELY those games would not be winnable in either one, they lost... Sometimes it’s just a lost, no need to exaggerate...
Ray W look at their overall stats and percentages, not to mention their game 5 and 6
Westbrook just isn't an efficient shooter. Especially when it comes to the playoffs.
The penny and shaq hurt me the most i remember that era i was in h.s in the bronx in nyc and all u saw ppl wearing shaq and penny jerseys sadly they got swept by the rockets in 95 finals
True
Those Magic Jerseys were everywhere.. I may been 10 years old but I remember that like it happened yesterday..
@@kenrickeason Agree, other than the Bulls 23 jersey, those Magic 1 & 32 jerseys were the most represented during the mid 90s.
How good was Jeremy Lin his rise as a star to a journeyman in the league in the NBA.
Yeeee Jeremy Lin my asian Nigga
Jeffrey Jeffrey wait if you’re Asian why saying the n word

Star? Wahahahahahahaha! Please don't joke around. 🤣🤣
As an old timer, thought you might slip up on Baylor/West but you're a true historian of the game Andy! I would argue Baylor/West were more talented than Stockton/Malone but can't argue longevity. Great work as per usual.
a couple he missed that should be here over blake cp3 and for sure yao t mac...olajuwon and hakeem kj barkley and drexler porter plus harden cp3 and even cummings moncrief who took the 1987 celtics 7 games...a great team that just was not good enough to beat the pistons celtics 76ers...they got the 76ers once i think in 86 and celtics in 83 but yeah they never were good enough to beat 2 of these three teams in a season sadly...
Someone already said this but, RUN TMC vid baby.
Best duo on NBA Jam Tournament Edition: Mourning and L.Johnson!
And porter & drexler
Pippen and Horace grant were better
@@stevesteve0521 unless it was close and you were playin the pistons the guy made the game was a Pistons fan he coded it so last second shots from the bulls wouldn't go if they were playing the Pistons LOL always thought that was funny and I'm a Bulls fan.
The rockets were the team to be in that game.
How good was Marcus Camby (after recovering from years of injuries)
Great video as always, Andy. Brazilian supporter here.
You should make a series electing the all time greats of each position. I'd love to see that.
Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for showing love to kemp and Gary bc they get overlooked so often. If Gary Payton was playing in the first couple of games the series really could’ve turned out differently. He even held Jordan to like 20 something % from the field one game
"How about Chris Webber and Mike Bibby of the Sacramento Kings in 2001-2005!!! Mike Bibby was Robbed a NBA Title, An All-Star (If they won), and a Mega Contract!!!"
Peja, bibby way 3/4 wheel with divac
Two words for you Tim Donaghy. That's the crooked referee that Fixed game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals. That's when Sacramento was robbed of the title

Andy,always great content. God bless.
Awesome video as always. Next video idea: 10 greatest playoff series ever.
Cut to MJ watching Andy Hoops talk abt the Supersonics:
" I already told y'all ass I had no problems with the glove."
The Sonics' general strategy throughout that series was to rotate different defenders on MJ every few minutes. Contrary to popular belief, GP was already included in the defensive rotation by Game 3, and directly caused more disruptions against MJ's best game of the series than on Father's Day when MJ did well against GP but struggled against the other Sonics. However, GP deserves significant credit for setting the defensive tone in Game 4, while MJ bounced back in Game 5 despite the loss. Overall, MJ's averages in that Finals is actually comparable to Kobe's Finals career averages.

Andy, You're so awesome as expected!
Hey Andy luv your channel I watch every video. suggestion: on your countdowns and list put more stats up for the top 1 2 teams if you could
That was a really nice video. I really liked that you put a small overview at the end
Keon Clark would be a great topic for a video. 7ft with a crazy wingspan, 40+ vert still holds (I believe) the record for most blocks in a game which is 12 for the Raptors. I remember back in the early 00's he had a decent amount of hype but had a horrific drinking problem where he said he never played a NBA game sober. Also the street legend Hook Mitchell would be another fantastic topic.
An excellent video with a solid list of dous...Thanks.
Haven’t watched Andy Hoops in a long time, great video to get me back into the channel
3 other duos that I can think of:
Derozan-Lowry Raptors
CP3-Harden Rockets
Olajuwon-Sampson Rockets
It was a good one Andy kudos
The most successful duo to never win, Elgin and Jerry west. 8 finals together, zero wins. But 8 finals is crazy impressive.
Kwame Brown & Smush Parker.
Jared Dudley and Alex Caruso
egizzle 4000 AC and Dud getting that chip this year 🙌
Great video 👍. Thanks
We need my sonics back
honestly the city should of got rid of the mariners if need be and supported a new arena for the sonics...did anyone care about the mariners in 2007?..lol...the sonics had a title
@@razkable sb nation would dispel that watch their mariners videos
Doesn't seem right.. Super Sonics not in the NBA..
As a Sonics fan, Im almost 100% sure that the Sonics aren't ever coming back.
@@HateTaxesWASt The Supersonics Will be back. They're already building the new arena but keeping the landmark Key Arena roof. They're coming!!
Before it's start i knew already that Malone and Stockton are in #1 on the list because of the 18year together on the same team w/o winning a title

Great video
Idk if you have ever done a video on this but I’d like to see a video detailing the 60s Celtics, their roster and how they won 11 rings
Dude I totally love watching your videos I am all about old-school NBA. I’m totally going to subscribe right now. Andy you are one awesome dude. I have two teams I really love because both cities our hometowns for me. I love the Portland Trail Blazers because I grew up in Oregon and I have lived in Portland for about 21 years now. I love the New Orleans pelicans as well because I spent a lot of time there and even not there for a short time. New Orleans is a very special place for me too. I love Damien Lillard, CJ McCollum, Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball if his dad can ever shut up. Plus I am really glad that Carmelo Anthony has had kind of a revised career again since joining the trail blazers
So many point guard / power forward combos
andy hoops 🔥🔥 antawn jamison career next please :)
The reason Mac got traded to Houston was he was hurt and they were rebuilding
Ngl you got a great narrorator voice and just adds to the quality of the videos 👌

An honorable mention can be Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer
Greatness is having 27 PPG as your WORST finals appearance

That was a great video. I agree with it
Speaking of which. It would be interesting to see a video about Scola.

Perhaps of the teams they played in the FInals, but MJ HIMSELF has said that the 1998 Pacers ECF series was THE toughest he ever faced in the playoffs - and he came VERY close to losing to Larry Bird AGAIN (though Bird was coaching that time around, not playing).
Cause Bird knew how Michael operated.. He knew how to get inside his head.. When you know your opponents you have a better chance at beating them..
The way u roast Nash and Stoudemire defense is really funny v,
That background music just makes me smile
Wish KG and Marbury were both 3 years more mature when they played together in early 00s.
Btw, why 4 ads in one video???
The Sonics with Payton and Kemp were my favorite team ever. Well until the Pistons won in 04. Now I'm just a Detroit sports guy.
27 ppg and 40% shooting is deemed poor!!
You should do trios too
Stephon Mayberry and Kevin Garnett for the TWolves should get an honorable mention.
That team could've made some noise with Garnett, Marbury and Gugliotta.
I have a video suggestion:
What is the draft pick has produce more stars?
One may think is the number one pick but we do have many number one bust. So their has to be a pick that produce the best players.
Probably 1996.
What's even crazier regarding Stockton and Malone is not only had they a losing record in the Playoffs at 85-88 but also they had more first round loss (9) than Conference Finals appearances (5). Heard that a lot from LOW (Legend of Winning).
ewing-oakley, drexler-porter, kj-barkley, miller-smits,
Even though Elgin Baylor didn't win a title he still has a ring though I Googled it.
Dennis Rodman really should've been finals MVP in '96. If not for his rebounding the Sonics would've won that series
I knew no.1 will Karl Malone and John Stockton.
I love the howthe thumbnail is the same franchise since the thunder used to be the supersonics lol
Gotta do a video on the thug nuggets and the crazy wizard team with Gilbert and nick young
You should make "How Good was Mike Bibby?? - A STAR who didn't become an All-Star"
Ahhh those trumpets.....
Greatest individual playoffs runs of all time video recommendations
Pg and Kawhi have now entered the list
The most underrated performances in NBA history
wow I am early.
KD+Russ is probably the 2nd best one-two punch combo in the history.
Nash and STAT were just very unfortunate, they could've been 07 champs but the suspension really didn't help. 2010 was the 2nd closest but Kobe was just out of this world.
As a Thunder fan I could not be more than sad.
Good list! Honorable mentions would be i guess: Charles Barkley/Kevin Johnson, Patrick Ewing/Latrell Sprewell, Kevin Garnett/Stephon Marbury, Reggie Miller/Rik Smits, Hakeem Olajuwon/Clyde Drexler.
Olajuwon/Drexler won one.1995
Dude so many people sleep on Luis Scola but he was the man, on the rockets and those pacers teams where he would back up David west, man those pacers teams deserved a title.
M Gasol - Randolph, Paul - harden from recent times also worth a mention imo
Do a video:how good was Stephen Jackson,or Kevin Martin
U should do who is the most inefficient superstar of all time...or which year did a player make an all star team with the worst inefficiency
I think you meant to say semi finals back in 2007 when you were talking about the sun's.

That Time when Jordan Almost Went To the Dallas Mavericks
WAIT WHAT THE FUCK
@@bluefrenchhorn2606 yep back when jordan went to the wizards, he was supposed to go to the mavericks. Mark Cuban was even willing to give him a share of the team for him to go there, and jordan was still pretty good with the wizards with 20 ppg.

Still amazed how the rockets won in 2015 it was mindboggoling
