Same here, this show opened my eyes about the world of art in a very off beat and creative way, I was immersed in every thing done in the show as a child, its such an influence ... that effect never left my psyche up till today, I'm still creating artworks and admiring stuffs with the spirit that the show had ..
This is nice but it's not the intro music. It's left bank two, which is the music they used for The Gallery. The real intro music started with a flute and a guitar came in just as it faded into the show.
I think they varied the intro music occasionally on different episodes, but its true that this is the main music they used for the segment (my favourite part of the show) of the gallery showcasing kids' artworks ... And I also remember that the Stanley Myers's Cavatina was also used for the gallery segment at one time .. there are so many great music used on the whole shows, I wish all the music are available again on youtube ...

This was the original theme tune to Take Hart. I remember there being a reggae tune in use from 1981/2 time.

The BBC did *not* junk most of the episodes of Take Hart. The vast majority still exist, along with Vision On and the post-Take Hart series.

@donmj The BBC junked most of the episodes, so they can't release it on DVD. Though I do remember they released it on video...

I think you're thinking of an earlier intro. This is the one I remember.
beatrice jones the intro I was looking for was on amazon music before a huge update. Someone up there doesn't want me to have that music. 😊
