5 YEAR PLAN =-=-=-=-=-=-= 4 Main Areas for Goal Setting: 1. Personal 2. Financial 3. Career 4. Relationships How to Craft a 5 Year Plan 1. What do I want to change this year? (What would make my life better or easier this year?) NOTE: The answer could be related to fnances, working fewer hours, or making more time for yourself, etc. 2. Where am I living? NOTE: Do you see yourself living in the same space as you currently do? Make sure you put down if you're looking or saving to create mor space, etc. 3. How do I want to better myself this year? NOTE: In all areas of life, it's important to take care of yourself first. Maybe it's an exercise routine, maybe a diet plan for weight loss; Whatever it is, make it realistic (Maybe to start the weight loss in smaller achievable increments). 4. What steps do I need to make for financial security? NOTE: This could be an outline of the steps forward that you want to make in your career. Are you working toward a promotion? Are you expecting a salary increase at some point? Write down the moves you need to make to get you there. -You could also outline your savings: How much do you want to put away for retirement? NOTE: Even though you may not be retiring in the next 5 years, it's better to start thinking about it now 5. What are some fun things I want to do this year? NOTE: It could be hard to be realistic sometimes. It's difficult to separate fantasy vacations from realistic ones. It's important to set aside time for yourself to have fun and blow off some steam; Though, treating yourself should be a priority so make as much time for it as you do for the other things on your calandar. Having something fun to look forward to makes the other stuff worthwhile. 6. What goals do I have for my family? NOTE: If you're single and want to start a family, start planning now. Do you see yourself having children? How many? If you have children, start plan out saving for their educations. Are you planning on sending your kids to college? How will you afford that? -The hardest part about moving forward is always getting started -Once you have an answer for each year, take action; Launch towards your goals and keep moving in that direction -Before you know it, 5 years is going to be up and you can look back on all the progress you've made -"Any system or blueprint for success is better than none at all. Think on paper" -Brian Tracy

"Think on paper" and "Never think twice" have changed my life. I've been thinking on paper for more than a year now and I am full of ideas and plans. I've tried many projects, many of them weren't in the right timing, but many of them brought tons of satisfaction into my life. Now I have a great job, I'm close to graduation, I started to take coaching sessions, I'm building my personal brand on linkedIn, I'm starting to consider an MBA for my future development, and I'm happy overall. Thanks, Brian!
Hello Bro! After 6 year of this comment what else you achive? what great things you did? please let me know how Our Best teacher Bran Tracy's book work for you? thank you very much!!!11
@@axelcooper8270 Hello! Thank you for caring! It's been a rollercoaster, tbh. Most of my plans did not take off. I gave myself 5 years of no judging, no giving up, and then I have to grief most of the goals, or turn them into 20 year goals. I'm happy internaly but going through a hard time. I lost my job (external unpredictable circumstances) and had to move back in with my parents. I've always had food on my the table but life has been rough. I still think on paper and never twice, and that is the most stable thing I've had so far. I cannot regret anything because I gave my best and I still believe I can have my dream life. Cheers! For the next 5 years! I'm 27 right now and will be 32 in 2029.

First time I wrote my plan for 5 years in 2002. It amazing - within 2 years achieved every goal. Then I wrote more challenging goals and achieved 80% of it - it still was wonderful! Next time I wrote almost unrealistic goals, then failed and lost my self esteem . There should be a balance between achievable goals and big dreams. But without dreams we couldn't have goals. This time after losing self esteem I am trying to learn again how to dream... and still want to have big dreams😂
Анар Ажибаев you can rebuild it better and more sound this time..plus have a chance to break down the unrealistic into specific achievable with action steps to reach each one.
Анар Ажибаев maybe it happened so because your last plan didn't fit your dreams and you crafted it just for fun and there was no need for you to achieve those goals. But still you should know that you have the power to get what you want and you inspired me. I will try this method
Someone recently asked me what my 5 year plan was and that inspired me to watch this. I'm 33, a new father and creating a 5 year plan for the first time. Love you Brian!
I love You Mr Brian. I am 17, but I started reading your books year ago, which helped me to achive a lot of things, which I planned. Thank you for goving us so great content!
Brian Tracy's best books include Maximum Achievement, Eat That Frog, No Excuses, and Miracle of Self Discipline. When you're done with those, let me know and i'll list more!
I'm picking number 1 first. What i want to change this year is my finances. I want to be financially stable and independent and i know i will achieve it.
The most impactful part for me is "making a 5 year plan helps to achieve your long term goals" it's my first time making a 5 year plan and am looking forward to achieving them all in two years. God bless you Brian 🙏
I'm 49 y.o. now and didn't grow up in an atmosphere where goal setting was a priority. It's always been about survival. I know how to take care of myself, meaning my health and fitness. And my finances lasted better than I thought. So now is the time that I've finally decided to make a plan. The first one is to change my living quarters...just not working where I'm at. I see myself either getting back to Honolulu or going to Vegas in the future. So my plans will revolve around getting there. I know what Hawaii is about as I've lived there before. My main plans will revolve around budgeting and saving for the move. So glad I came across this video. I subscribed as well. Thank you.
Yes it can be intimidating but just know that God knows best... let Him lead You... He knows All and knows what ur next 10 years will bring and where will be the world be

Mr Tracy a Gift from God , today I took my wife to park for exercise and to talk about a 5 yr Vision for her start up home business , where our lives and kids future should go . She had tough time seeing past the very hard now and difficult past to answer any real thoughts and turning them into goals seem gigantic to her . You could even take those questions to the next level by asking these 6 questions to any questions you have already asked yourself. These 6 are Who? What? Why? Where? When? and How?
Brian is the master of self help and business. His ideas are not just self help, he give concrete ideas unlike some other people. After a search that started in 2003, to improve my life I discovered his books in 2005. He got me more interested in business and being an all round more efficient person
Most impactful part of the video is when you brought up question number 5: FUN, we are deep into striving for success but we forget about fun. FUN should be prioritized just like any of the other questions.
I've made plans before but only months at the most. I even thought of making a one year plan but it was so broad and sketchy no real detail that could help me follow through to achieve it, till I found this video. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Every part of your message touches every part of my life. I have always been a procrastinator, self pitter and unrealistic, But now i have realized how simple life can be if i have a realistic plan with specific time. A month ego i started setting monthly goals and this material have proven to be of much help and useful way forward
I had a panel interview was and I was asked, "where do you see yourself in five years?". I said, "celebrating the five-year anniversary of you asking me that question". I got a big laugh and the job. No, but seriously, this is awesome and I'm currently writing dow my 5-year on google docs so I'll have it everywhere I go.
Favourite message in this video for me is making goals how can I afford university education for my daughters. I agree with Brian Tracy - this is the most important for me nowadays and must push me to plan carefully and take actions how to achieve financial goals.
Thank you sir ! Every morning I listen to your videos. It helps me to maintain my motivation! Ps : what a positive and smooth voice tone you hot there. Thanks again from France!
all categories are impactful to plan for but the most important categories for me were the financial security , the fun things i want to do , what goals i have for my family ? thank you Brian Tracy.
i never had a written plan.i just settled things month by month and i cant see that am improving that much.Through this video starting fron now i will write down all my plan.Wish to make that long thoughts of planning a vacation with family into reality.thank you..
The most helpful part of your video share was for me knowing that "" ANY system or blueprint for success is better than none at all Think on paper"" Maybe I am doing some of the planning correctly, thank you Brian Tracy May you have a blessed and beautiful day.
The category that was most impactful to me was the topic of thinking of fun things to see with my goals. The more joy and pleasure you can see during the journey, the easier it is to keep going when the going gets tough!!
Sir, I have been watching your videos for a month now and they shaped my life, especially this one, that's what I really needed in order to start living my dream because I've always created 5 year plans but they didn't really work out. Now I know where to start.
I believe the goal setting for my family really is what drives me and hearing you say it and writing it down myself has been revelatory. Thank you very much for the guidance.
What a Class Act & Excellent Source of Information. I'm doing this-- TODAY. And Thanks to Mr. Tracy..I've got an Outined Plan...for making a Great OUTLINE PLAN! THANK YOU!! 👍
Brian, this is your best video I've ever seen so far, unless the best is yet to come. To be frank this is gonna help me a lot cause I haven't drawn any 5 years plan. In fact I made a special playlist for this so that I may review it at any time. Thanks a lot and the Lord continue to bless your with more insight! Amen
The most influenced advice for me in this video is thinking about the exact place I may live next year. Things go much easily when I try to make the blueprint according to that. Thank you.
ur teaching is so clear sir.. it covers every aspect of life. hope it will reach to you. u r my guide, n definitely i am going to make it big under ur mentorship. i know its virtualy which you dnt even knw
I always look up to you Mr. Tracy! You give me hope in developing myself and reaching my aspirations in life. Indeed, this tall can have a great impact in ones life. Cheer!
I wasn't serious with my life goals, but now i have family , i see the importance of planning.Especially FINANCIAL SECURITY area. Am 32 years old with 2 kids, working as a Section Manager in a Retail Company in the Middle east, which soon i might loose my job because of some economic crises here BUT am starting my 5 year planning today. Wish me luck and thank you for your educational motivating clips.
In this age of technology and "cool" stuff, the tried and true method of writing on PAPER is valuable because it is the best way to link solidify the "wants" deeply into your mind.
The 6 steps were hugely helpful. I knew I wanted a 5 year plan for my life but didn't know where to start other than just blindly laying out different things I want to do/accomplish.
For me, the most useful aspect of this video is your calm and easy-going tone, and the pace at which you introduce each question. It makes it very welcoming for those who are new to your method, and potentially overwhelmed by the prospect of setting a 5 year plan for the first time. I am setting up my paper now! I look forward to thinking on it :) Thank you!
Your "Goal Planner" which I have purchased is also a great resource . I would highly recommend this planner to other who want to achieve their goals . Thank you for sharing your knowledge. P.S. You are one of my mentors and so is T Harv Eker and Bob Proctor. I look forward to meeting you in the near future.
Sir , thank you for such an amazing thing, I planned for my future several times but none was successful, and today i said to myself that i have to do something and I shouldn’t live like that aimeless , so I decided to make a plan again but not knowing starting from where , so i said to myself first i should search to know how to make my plan and what would I write on my plan and i saw this amazin video and it was for 5 years , now i am writing my goal for 5 years and i shared it with some of my friends, and the most beautiful thing was being honest with yourself. Really that made a sense for me . Thank you 🙏
@Guilherme Coelho write all down on paper, after put Which its more important, Which its next and so on. Whit This You see Which It the most important and work on It. You can do It! Never give up!
Hi Mr. Tracy, Watching all your videos makes me think of what i really want in life, it inspires me to picture out in my mind the short term nor long term goals also on how i can work on each goals. Really grateful to learn a lot from u sir! I wish to meet you someday or sooner! I relaly want to! I hope someday u can visit Asia and meet u here in Manila, Philippines! I am just so amazed on how generous u are in sharing your knowledge, ideas and experiences and how to have financial freedom. I want to say thank you! So much!
The category which was most impact full was planning for different areas in life. That bifurcation made it easier to think and work on crafting the plan, one (year) step at a time.
I've been doing this since age 19. I'm 39 now. Life was much easier to plan for during my undergrad. Life is more predictable. However, after graduating, there's so many variables! You really need to have a detailed plan. Gone are the days of getting a career after school. The most frustrating (and rewarding) part of goal chasing is learning from trial-and-error. There's no textbook for what you want to do. You gotta try different ways and see which one gets you a little bit closer to your goals. That can be scary when your 45 and still trying.
Sir, you are a very great motivator and speaker. Your videos and books are inspiring many people like me each day and helping us to achieve our goals!!! Thnx for sharing your valuable knowledge and wisdom...
The most impactful thing to me was planning for my financial security... I was you and irresponsable with my first credit card and I’m still try to better my score, but this video really helped and I know what I have to start doing .
I found your questions very intuitive and very helpful! I have been crafting my 5-year plans using Trello Boards because it helps me visualize all the goals I'd like to achieve. The information you just provided in your video gave me new insights on how I should tackle my next planning. Thanks Brian!!!
I'm writing it, and it feels wonderful already. I'm 25 years old, gonna finish my med school this summer. for me it appeals mostly the career area maybe because I'm neglecting the other areas ( always have been since I started med school). I need to ace this upcoming exam so I can work for year or less secure some bucks that will support me for when I apply for Residency in the country I want + learn the language. and then Find a suitable P.G program and start working.
This was very valuable because I need to start planning out how I want my 5 years to be so I can send my kids off to college, buy a home and build up wealth.
Thank you for sharing. So full of wisdom 🙏 This answers my how to write goals. I'm grateful 🙏Working on my lifestyle habits is one of my goals this year😊
Most impactful, the questions to ask my self. How does one become clear about oneself? I need that answer as I continue to run the same circle for everything, which doesn't work.
Thank you! I listened to this at bedtime for motivation. I enjoy how you broke down each category. Financial goals is my main area. I'll be 50 and this is my first ever written down goals
I like all your advice and been recommended to many friends; do I have a reward, kidding, I wish I could translate in Filipino language to help my clan how to save money with discipline and goals. Thank you Tracy.
Thank you! Very practical advice. My favorite part of this is the energy and spirit behind your words. Your advice to prioritize your own fun and self-care, as well as your point about how motivating it is to fulfill promises to others really hit home.
5 YEAR PLAN
=-=-=-=-=-=-=
4 Main Areas for Goal Setting:
1. Personal
2. Financial
3. Career
4. Relationships
How to Craft a 5 Year Plan
1. What do I want to change this year? (What would make my life better or easier this year?)
NOTE: The answer could be related to fnances, working fewer hours, or making more time for yourself, etc.
-You could also outline your savings:
How much do you want to put away for retirement?
NOTE: Even though you may not be retiring in the next 5 years, it's better to start thinking about it now
-The hardest part about moving forward is always getting started
-Once you have an answer for each year, take action; Launch towards your goals and keep moving in that direction
-Before you know it, 5 years is going to be up and you can look back on all the progress you've made

I believe the goal setting for my family really is what drives me and hearing you say it and writing it down myself has been revelatory.
Thank you very much for the guidance.
All is good and truly inspiring...you are a good teacher. Reminding me of my late father when I see your art of speech and the knowledge that follows
This was 4yrs ago wow 🤩 so much value
Brian Tracy is the man!
Most motivating and again a reminder for me was to write my goals and review them on daily basis. Thank you Brian Tracy, you are lovely
Simply stated, writing down the thoughts help us remember keep to the road map before us.So simple so important to remain focused.
Thank you.

Thank you for watching,
Good luck, Brian.
In this age of technology and "cool" stuff, the tried and true method of writing on PAPER is valuable because it is the best way to link solidify the "wants" deeply into your mind.
Brian Tracy is a national treasure
The 6 steps were hugely helpful. I knew I wanted a 5 year plan for my life but didn't know where to start other than just blindly laying out different things I want to do/accomplish.
Thank you, Mr. Tracy. This video has given me some clarification on what I should do in terms of life planning.
Thank you Brian for useful tips. My favourite was what are some fun things do I look to do this year.
I setup my 5 years goals and plan by Mr Brian Tracy direction, I earn a lot of achievements and I really appreciate his advice
The career area was the most impactful for me since I am still a beginner. Anyway, I'm currently reading your book Mr. Tracy. Thank you and God bless.
Thank you 🙏
I think ALL of these are of equal importance to me.
As always, thank you for your insight, Brian!
Let’s go guys, time to take action!
For me question 5 and 6 stood out for my coz they are a big part of my why this year so am excited about extending them to the next 4 years ahead 💃💃💃💃
I think the one that has the most impact on me is some of the questions in those 6 questions mentioned in the video.
I want so many things I can’t choose which one to focus. I’ll try this method. Thank you!
@Guilherme Coelho write all down on paper, after put Which its more important, Which its next and so on.
Whit This You see Which It the most important and work on It.
You can do It! Never give up!
Hi Mr. Tracy,
Watching all your videos makes me think of what i really want in life, it inspires me to picture out in my mind the short term nor long term goals also on how i can work on each goals.
I just came across your channel today. I’m finding your content so helpful. Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed how you have control of yourself and what you say. Impressive!
Love plan. Simple, Short, to the point and useful in many Areas. TnhkU. Its a start.
The most impactful part was to also plan for the fun stuff, and to look forward to them
For me the "Fun plan this year" is most important :) i need to plan some adventures and complete them. Great video!
Planning for my family! Planning for our financial freedom!
what a sweet old man. thanks brian.
Really getting that financial/ moving to a new home & saving for my kids’ educations ♥️♥️♥️
The most impactful thing to me was planning for my financial security... I was you and irresponsable with my first credit card and I’m still try to better my score, but this video really helped and I know what I have to start doing .
Hi,
Thanks for sharing this video. The questions 3 and 4 are most challenging ones for me.
My children are my biggest motivation
Did you pass the exam??? Did everything work out???
The best and most concise 5 year plan ❤😊
I love u soooo much because u changed my life .❤.and u look same like my uncle ...when I miss him😥 I just watch ur videos
This was very valuable because I need to start planning out how I want my 5 years to be so I can send my kids off to college, buy a home and build up wealth.
Thank you for sharing. So full of wisdom 🙏
This answers my how to write goals. I'm grateful 🙏Working on my lifestyle habits is one of my goals this year😊
Most impactful moment is,how do i want to better myself and the answer is to learn to take decision
Brian Tracy's amazing advice ( one of the reasons I will be so successful ) Thank you Brian!!!!
Most impactful, the questions to ask my self. How does one become clear about oneself? I need that answer as I continue to run the same circle for everything, which doesn't work.
The holistic view on one's 5 year plan and how simple it is to define using those questions
Thank you very much Brian. we are grateful for your content.
Its really important for me to craft the Financial Security section of my 5 year plan! Thanks Brian for sharing this info.
My man, thanks for coming through, my family appreciates your teachings! Thanks!
Simply good. Without a plan 5 year will run like a bird. With a plan at least we can achieve what we can think.
I liked thee breakdown of the 4 main areas for goal settings. -- It makes it a lot easier to start the plan. thank you!!!
Thank you! I listened to this at bedtime for motivation. I enjoy how you broke down each category. Financial goals is my main area. I'll be 50 and this is my first ever written down goals
Thank you Brian now I have the clarity to write my 5 year goal.
Fantastic as always Brian xx Be honest when you plan your 6 questions/goals per year and then... take ACTION X Thank you 😊
Thank you Brian, very informative. The first one what do I want to change this year is something I will put to work before the end of the year.
Your advice to prioritize your own fun and self-care, as well as your point about how motivating it is to fulfill promises to others really hit home.
what do i want to change this year was the most impactful. Thank you sir.
I will plan in 4 aspects Personal, Financial, Career and relationship , it all doesn't seem so overwhelming
