So yeah, this vlog was definitely inspiring. You have a beautiful and cozy home. I like how you did not go overboard with the decorations. I particularly loved the pillows and the pumpkins on your porch. Nothing too bright. I enjoy your blogs- you are so creative and positive! I was just wondering how you’d fare with those little orange gourds-those suckers will withstand an indiana winter outdoors, they are so tough! If you pick out a pumpkin, ask the folks which are pie pumpkins and which are for carving. Pie pumpkins are tough like those little guys-I think that’s right, anyway. Lol. This was so fun to watch!
Ahhh, okay that makes SO much more sense! How did I not know there's specific carving pumpkins??? 😂 Whoops. Yes, these pumpkins were definitely not meant for carving. Lol!
@@IvyTheOccultist Jack-o'-lantern might not have become such a big thing in the US if people still had to carve things like rutabagas and turnips, like the first Jack-o'-lanterns were made from in Europe for the earliest Halloween celebrations. I'd guess that carving those really tough little pumpkins was similarly difficult. I was impressed that you made it through 3 of them. They are so tough that I just threw away my final one from last Halloween about a week ago, although it has faded a lot from the sun. Now I'm sorry I didn't save the it's seeds.
@@greeneyedlady5580 that's such a good point... Carving turnips and rutabagas would be a nightmare! 😂 At least the little pumpkins are tough and will last a while. Haha!
@@IvyTheOccultist Very true. I had several left from last Halloween, and the FIRST one didn't start to go bad until well over 6 months later. I never tried to carve one though... 😳

The smaller the pumpkin, the harder it is to cut 😂 I like to roast my pumpkin seeds; some sprinkled in cinnamon sugar and some with chili powder. But I always save a few for magical work. Love the idea of a Return to Sender spell at the front door. With the holiday season upon us and people coming in and out of our home, it’s nice to be proactive in adding an extra layer of protection to our space.

the little village brought me back to when beetlejuice lived in a miniature village in that one movie... not sure if you know what i mean 😅 loved this video! happy autumn!!
Ooof, that is really tough. I'm planning on making a video about covens soon... Our coven meets primarily online and then we do a retreat once a year for either Samhain or Beltane. We are farther apart as well. Maybe something like that could work? I'll explain more about finding a coven in that video next weekend!
A mouse?? Oh no 😂😂 I have a dog and a cat! That's really funny 🤣 And thank you for coming to my little corner of the internet. Lots of blessings to you!
Really enjoyed this Vlog. Your friends house is amazing! I do have a question though. On your sigil video you mentioned that sigils activate once destroyed. How would you then activate on the white pumpkin you did or say a sigil on a door?
Oh! I probably should have clarified that better 😆 You can make a second copy of the same sigil and do a quick charge/activation that way. Write it on a piece of paper, charge it up, burn it in the cauldron. That's typically what I do. Or you can charge it on the pumpkin, and let it slowly activate as the pumpkin rots. But for this sigil in particular, I have used it so many times for protection that I have found it still works for me even if I don't go through the proper charging/activation steps. It is DEFINITELY lodged into my subconscious mind by now, so it seems I am able to skip a couple traditional steps and still get the same result 😊
This vlog was so fun! I was wondering if you would talk more about finding your coven. I have been solitary for a long time and recently found a group of really great people I enjoy but I’m not sure if it’s the right fit and was curious if you had any of those feeling in the beginning with your coven or if that’s a sign to keep looking. Thank you so much! 💕
If you're feeling like there's a small voice saying it's not the right fit... Then you might want to listen to your intuition on that one. But that's just my opinion! It took me a long time to find the right fit as well. I started out with a coven that ended up being extremely toxic - the leader turned out to be power hungry and we didn't know it until much later. Then, 4 of us came together and decided we wanted to create a coven with NO hierarchy, no high priestess or anything like that. We created a coven and it took about 1.5 years of weeding through people to finally find the right mix of members. Now we have a coven of 12 and it's perfect! But it took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to this point 😂 Maybe stick it out with the coven you're in now to see if those feelings of belonging develop. But if you keep feeling like something is off, then definitely go somewhere else! ❤️
@@IvyTheOccultist Have you got some suggestions for how to even go about finding ANY covens in a particular area? I live in Salem, Oregon, which is large enough that there should be a number of local covens, but we don't really even have a local metaphysical store, so I'm not sure where/how to even start looking. Wouldn't you think that in a place named Salem there'd be a plethora of witches?!!
@@greeneyedlady5580 one would think there would be a plethora of witches in Salem, OR! Yes, I definitely plan to make a video on this now. I'll probably have the video up by next weekend. I didn't necessarily find my coven, I created it with 3 other women. I wasn't finding what I was looking for out in the world, so we created our own! And now there's 12 of us. And we have a really unique structure because we are spread all across Washington state. We operate primarily online and get together 1-2 times a year for Beltane or Samhain to do ritual. But I'll explain how it all works in that video, because I really feel like our structure needs to be shared with others! Hopefully the explanation in that video will help you find what you're looking for. ❤️
I really enjoyed this vlog, here in the UK it's hard to decorate for Halloween most of the stuff is for kids I see America and I get jealous of all the cool stuff! Love to live through the decorating vlogs xx
I'm so glad you enjoyed the vlog! Decorating for Halloween is truly the best and it breaks my heart that other countries aren't as into Halloween as the US. But thank you!! 🖤
@@BeverleyButterfly ugh! That's crazy to me... I didn't even realize the rest of the world was like that until this year when everyone told me 😂 I thought everyone celebrated Halloween to the extent we do here! How very ignorant and American of me... HA!
@@IvyTheOccultist it is very American but you can be forgiven for thinking the world follows you guys I get the feeling that’s how the media portray it. Still with people posting their videos decorating I’m very happy.
@@BeverleyButterfly it's crazy how sheltered we are here. I remember visiting the UK and I was shocked by how often your TVs show what's going on in other parts of the world! I would walk into a bar, and it would be playing something from another country. In the US, you have to actively seek out that information. Everything that plays on our TV's is US based. Our news will cover other countries sometimes, but it's always from the US perspective. The media is really one sided here!
Oooo, my cats would destroy that spooky town while looking at me with a mixture of attitudes ( I have five, and for some insane reason am trying to get a sixth stray to stay inside. Yes, I am that lady and am proud of it.)
LOL!!! Surprisingly, my cat leaves it alone... But I also only have 1 cat versus your 5. Oh my goodness that's a lot of cats! 😂 But also, I don't blame you. Cats are the best

Your little village is so cute!! I want to show you my Halloween town, but idk if I still have the video in my archive. I think you'd love it. The skelegnome is my favorite addition. I've yet to see Hocus Pocus 2, even though I've been waiting for what feels like my entire childhood and early adulthood. Did you like it?
I would love to see your Halloween town!!! If you didn't want to post it on YT, you could always email me. :) My email is in the bio! I thought Hocus Pocus was a perfect fair well and send off for the Sanderson sisters. They did a good job honoring the legacy! The movie itself is cheesy and meant for kids, but that's kind of how I feel it's supposed to be anyways. I thought they did a great job with it! Lots of nods to the original movie too.
@@IvyTheOccultist After a day of digging through my old archives, I can finally re-upload the videos to my channel. LOL First of all, no one is allowed to pull your witch card! There are many other movies that are witchier than Hocus Pocus 😂😂 Honestly, the only reason why I watched it is for the nostalgia... I watched the original so many times as a child. If you don't have those memories then it's not really worth watching now in my opinion - because it is very cartooney for sure!

@@IvyTheOccultist thank you! That’s really great insight and I think is exactly the answer I needed to hear.
Good luck, friend! Hope you find the coven you're looking for! ☺️🙏
@@IvyTheOccultist it’s awful here everything is aimed at kids or really cheap looking it’s awful!
@@IvyTheOccultist Your little town looks great, btw. I will live vicariously through you and your tiny town. (Stupid big heart that can't say 'no' to a fuzzy)
@@DawnMK2023 hahaha!!!! They need you anyways so that's ok! ❤️❤️❤️
I just introduced my 12 year old nephew to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He really liked it! I can't get him into Star Wars, so I'm going to try Harry Potter next.
Ohhhh how exciting!!! I think I was 12 when I became obsessed with LOTR 😂 Yes, definitely, Harry Potter is next!!! 👏👏
I used to have a lot of comments on them, but eventually I removed my content due to a stalker, so... Anyway! I've been meaning to find them and upload them again for some curious friends, and now you can take a sneaky peek too!! Forgive the age showing in the terrible resolution. I had a really old dslr at the time, in fact I've yet to upgrade. 🤣🤣🤣
You can always email me at this channel's/ account's email, or I can send you one, and we can chit chat there if it's more comfortable/ easier. 😊 Just let me know!
I look forward to your thoughts on the decor. 🖤💜
@@shadowfox9490 just subscribed!! I'll check out your videos ASAP!! 😊❤️
🍁🥰🥰🍁I♥️🔆your video! Small q’ if you live in a block of apartments where can you placed the pumpkins without calling un necessary attention?
Oh, you can just stick it right next to your front door in your entry way! That way it's not sitting outside, but it's still filtering energy at the front door 😊
@@IvyTheOccultist 😘🍁🍄🍂thank you!
Hello Penelope nice to meet you

Hello sweet Penelope ❤
❤️❤️❤️ She will love this comment, thank you!!
Hello Penelope. 🎉
❤️❤️❤️ She's famous now!!
Yes she is.
Where did you learn to be a witch?
Oh! Self taught over the last 16 years 😊❤️
Hello from England Penelope
She will be so happy to see this. Thank you! 😊❤️
I think I just found my best friend 😍 your so adorable I love your nose btw I hope that's not wierd😅 my names ivey like yours but different and I'm into magic and stuff too 😁
Aww hahaha thank you so much! I've never had someone compliment my nose before, but I'll take it 😆❤️❤️
I know nothing about witches or anything. I want to learn and find a coven.
Anyone can learn! Read lots of books 😊 I always recommend starting with "Psychic Witch" by Mat Auryn. Good luck and welcome to the witchy community! ❤️
am i the only person who hasn't watched hocus pocus?? I never plan to as i don't like any of those actresses or the cartoony way they look. i've had people call me out saying my witch card needs to be pulled because i havent watched it. lol
Now what I'm gonna do is go binge hocus pocus✨😂
But hey why aren't u active on Instagram is everything okay?
U know who I am🙋💕
And I'm commenting this as the video is 5 minutes past the beginning so can't wait to watch the rest of it and btw u filming is finee dw about itt❤🫂
Hello, lovely! Instagram disabled my account and they won't tell me why 🙃🙃🙃 So frustrating!!! Ugh. I'm working with them to get it restored but I'm worried it's all been deleted... Let's hope not. Also, yes, definitely watch Hocus Pocus!!
