SVR 2008 and 2008 were some of my favorites. GM mode is something I loved. FPWW’s Fire Promoter has taken that throne, mostly for the customization. You can have nearly any character from any promotion, film or anyone you can think of.
The mods are fantastic! But I’d say the original N64 cartridge still holds up today. I can’t tell you how many hours I put into this game every time I turn it on. It’s impossible for me to turn off the system when I play this classic.

Why hasn’t anyone modded WWF Wrestlefest?!? That is the real GOAT wrestling game. Add Macho Man, Andre, Hitman, Piper, Flair, Bulldog, The Model Rick Martel, Texas Tornado, Akeem & Rick Rude. Win the Royal Rumble and face off with Andre in a cage 1 on 1 for the belt.
For me Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 outshines No Mercy, it has things like: - Around 100 playable characters; - 3 Different Referees; - Super Finisher (Some wrestlers can perform more than 1 special move in front or back grapples, for example Mitsuharu Misawa normally has the Tiger Driver '91 as his front special move, however by taunting while having a special active he can perform the Emerald Flowsion/Fusion); - 5v5 Team Elimination Matches; - You can check your Win/Loss/Draw record; - You can create masks; - And more importantly it pretty much is a 2 in 1 game as it not only is a wrestling, but it also is a MMA game. (And if not wrong its the only wrestling game ever to feature MMA fights).
The Fire Pro Wrestling Games also featured MMA fighters and Octagons to fight in. I wish the features you mentioned had made it into No Mercy but No Mercy had special referee, ladder and cage matches, backstage areas and a few tables. Also the graphics were improved slightly and you could drop and throw weapons. Shame they didn't release a game with all of these features combined.

Most Def the best wrestling game of all time. Lucky enough to have played this game in its heyday. And still own my original boxed copy i got for Christmas back in 2000. Always pop this game in to keep the skills sharp from time to time. Revenge, 2000, and World Tour were damn good as well

I'd create my wrestler, put him the finisher of a top star and then create feud for a title between them. It is not about the graphics, this is a game about possibilities.
Good list but i think that phenomenal mods like Lucha Underground, WWF New Generation and especially NJPW (which is probably my favourite mod ever - and i played pretty much every mod on the list) should be definitely mention. Awesome mods in every aspect...
In N-64 I started off playing Warzone, and moved on to Attitude. We still have Here Comes the Pain, but my wife bought SvR 2006 for me brand new. These last two are PS2 of course. I still play SvR 2006 just about everyday. Attitude was the first game I played that I could make my own entrance, choose a theme song, and create my own move set. That was wonderful back then. I actually think WWE 13 and Shut Your Mouth are equal to Here Comes the Pain. I'm a lifelong wrestling game fanatic. (I've finished backyard wrestling 2 and Showdown multiple times each to give you an idea). Out of my entire collection, I keep coming back to 4 games. Shut your mouth, HCTP, WWE 13 and The Forever Indy mod.

Haven't watched yet but I'm really hoping you cover Forever Indy. It's the only version of No Mercy I ever played and I played. It was all the major Indy promotions from the mid 2000s. It had Super Dragon and Necro Butcher, Bryan Danielson, Colt Cabana, Mike Quackenbush, Nick Mondo and so many other cool dudes. Even Excaliburs in it.
I have been following No Mercy mods since the very early days and it amazes me how much can be done to the code to expand on the original game. I would love the day to come when a fully edited game gets released that is just the rom and not requiring an emulator to run. I know there is the VPW2freem edition but that for the most part doesn't do much to edit the main game and is more an injection of a few textures and edited movements to make the wrestlers as close as possible using what is already on the game. One day I do believe it will happen though.
VPW2Freem is the only mod I've ever seen that you can actually play on N64 hardware. I don't even know where to begin to play mods like WCW Feel the Bang.
@@erikprestonTV there is a self contained download that includes everything needed even the emulator configured to the right settings. The only thing you have to do it map your controller. Just Google for it and it is easy to find.

You can get those at the Nextwave 64 or AKI Live forums. The only one that is a rom by itself is "Virtual Pro Wrestling 2: Freem Edition", the rest requires setting up an emulator.

I play the wwe legends mod on my Samsung Galaxy s10plus phone and tablet. I wanna know how to put the wcw feel the band on my phone too unless I cant use both on one device then I'll move wcw to my tablet
Those are meant to be played on a PC, in the Project 64 emulator. Some projects can be adapted to Android or other portable devices, however, the only project currently compatible with the original N64 hardware is "VPW2 Freem Edition". This one can be downloaded to and played on a flashcard.

Best special in the game is the reverse suplex off the top where after the suplex you hang on by your feet then climb up and backflip summersault for the pin
I know as a kid I out hundreds of hours into this game. I remember spending hours just creating my characters. The last wrestling games I played were Day of Reckoning 1&2. No Mercy continues to be my gold standard for wrestling games.
There should be a WWF Backlash mod where someone makes a Mod based off of the WWF Backlash game that was suposed to release for the N64 but was scrapped completely
WWF No Mercy is the wrestling game GOAT. I haven't turned it on in years (lost my N64 when I moved) but I've still got 4 memory cards full of CAWs. I not only never understood the hype behind Here Comes The Pain, I thought it was a terrible game to the point of being nearly unplayable. Shut Your Mouth on the other hand is horribly underrated and a respectable #2.
Awesome I never knew about these. I went over my cousins house everyday to play world tour and revenge. I never owned my own n64 cause i had ps1, but damn those games are so fun. My all time favorite wrestling games are no mercy(since its the best version of the n64 games), wwf bring the pain, wwe13(attitude era mode), and wwf wrestlefest!
The third option and IMO, the best is Day of Reckoning 2 on the GameCube. From purely a gameplay perspective, i think its got the most fun and solid gameplay of all WWE games.

You dont have to pay me but how computer saavy are you? Itd be hard to explain without showing you. Windows ten is much harder to apply mods than say windows 7. First things first dl project64. And whateever mod you would like. You can only use one at a time. Go to options in your emulator.

WWE 2k16 is the last WWE game that I bought and consistently played. It's decent.

Awesome I never knew about these. I went over my cousins house everyday to play world tour and revenge. I never owned my own n64 cause i had ps1, but damn those games are so fun. My all time favorite wrestling games are no mercy(since its the best version of the n64 games), wwf bring the pain, wwe13(attitude era mode), and wwf wrestlefest!

The third option and IMO, the best is Day of Reckoning 2 on the GameCube. From purely a gameplay perspective, i think its got the most fun and solid gameplay of all WWE games.

Surprisingly the fatal 4 way challenge using Rey in feel the Bang is easy. Took me like 4 mins since you can just Dropkick them outside

You dont have to pay me but how computer saavy are you? Itd be hard to explain without showing you. Windows ten is much harder to apply mods than say windows 7. First things first dl project64. And whateever mod you would like. You can only use one at a time. Go to options in your emulator.
I really wish one of them gets ported to Android. Biggest wish would be the Showdown64 mod.
