That’s awesome. I heard this on cartoon-network somewhere between 2006-2008. I was 4-6 years old back then and lyrics has stayed in my head for years. (I’m not English native speaker) Watching this video gives me the feel of nostalgia. And yes this was one of the first songs I liked in my life as well ;)
This was the best era of cartoon network. Samurai jack, powerfuff girls, jetsons, ed edd and eddy. The list goes ON! Johnny Bravo!! Wacky racers, Courage the cowardly dog, my mother's person fav. Dexter's laboratory. Cow & chicken. Cat & dog!! Omg the memories
I remember when I was a kid and CN aired this scene only during commercial break. Always thought it was an original song until I heard the original by Tears for Fears and I instantly loved it. To this day, I still thank The Powerpuff Girls for introducing me to this masterpiece.
I remember this clearly from when i was a kid, despite being from europe they'd show the english version and i wouldn't understand a word from it but it was such a vibe i didn't really mind
I remember seeing this when I was like 3 and not being able to know where it came from 😭😭 and whenever the original version was on the radio I had flashbacks to this
I just heard this song on Tik Tok. And I was like wait this sounds familiar from somewhere. So I started going back in my memories to figure out where I heard the song "Everybody whants to rule the world" and then it hit me. It was from this scene. After many many years I finally know what this song is and the nostalgia that hit me is insane.
Yet another reason why CN went outta it's way to make the classics final moments the greatest. Especially in 2009, with Ben 10 Alien Force, Foster's 6th season and of course, Ed, Edd n' Eddy's Big Picture Show.
The original song is basically admitting ultimate power kinda sucks, especially if it goes nowhere. Mojo is using the song to admit conquering the world is a fool's errand and he should've stopped when he could. So basically no, it's better than the original version, especially with how sick he is of the world in the last part.
Reminder. Regular Show wasn’t the first CN show to incorporate songs from real musicians and musical groups, they just did it frequently. Yes I’m aware the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy was technically the first CN show to do it.
I used to visit my late grandmother in Bosnia when I was a kid. Outdoor activities aside, there hadn't been much to do in her hometown but seeing her was always worth the journey. One late night they showed this on CN, which was also me getting introduced to the song for the first time. I'm glad I've re-discovered it after all those years now; helps me to recall some pleasant memories from a time when life wasn't so complicated. Also rest in peace, grandma. You were one of a kind :)
This was before A. Ai Covers were a thing B. This song was in Despicable Me 4 (and thus, became an even more popular song than it already was.) C. Your Time (This one only applies to iPad Kids and (sadly) me*) *=i Was born the year after this was made
Oh my God! Why is it that when I watch cartoons and advertising inserts on them in the 90s and in the 2000s, it's like I'm moving to another dimension that was my home, where there were no problems, epidemics, global conflicts, agendas of sexual minorities, etc. It's like a part of my completely different life was stolen from me. A life that was much better than it is now. God.... How I miss you....😟
I remember seeing this particular moment playing each time during the commercial break way back on Cartoon Network. I remember getting sick of it but now after a whole decade later I actually like seeing this again after so long. EDIT: TF is with these Skibidi comments? 💀💀💀
I was 9 years old possibly even 8. Know exactly what you mean about the commercial breaks. The nostalgia for that time is crazy. Im 22 now and life is just too real😂😂.
Why.. do I as an adult, now relate to Mojo in this scene? I see this play out in the adult life, whether it's the corporate ladder, or politics, or even family squabbles, and seeing Mojo tired and wanting no part of it just feels 🤌🏽
i cant wait 4 the reboot! im almost 28 & its still my favorite cn show & always will be. my brother & i r twins & i got the whole series box set 4 our birthday last year! i shouldve bought it when it came out back in 2009! im watching monkey see, doggie do right now. blossoms always been my favorite girl. she was my favorite character when i was little but now its professor. theyre damn lucky 2 have such a kick-ass dad like him. i hope tom kane recovers from his stroke enough 2 play professor & him again in the reboot. ive been praying 4 him, just did last night & will again 2night. i didnt know he played him too when i was little & could never tell if he was a guy cuz of his voice
So this wasn't a fever dream. This did actually happen. Just wanted to confirm.
I remember this song from this fairy tale exactly, but I thought that only I had brought it exactly or something, and yet
legit does not seem real though. mojo jojo having a character arc while singing everybody wants to rule the world? sounds like a crazy dream haha
Bro same
Bruh, same

I can't listen to the original without thinking of this masterpiece. This is the original for me.

Back when Cartoon network was praised for its originality
Y'know something's wrong when mojo quits being a villian
HE QUIT!?
@Hapeey Well he actually didn't

How do you think. Is I could made such good cartoons in the future?
Which episode is this
@@PatriciaRios-tl4tkit was the last episode of the original series.
Cat And dog is Nickelodeon
I feel like crying
Nice touch on having HIM be the only villain to actually put up a fight in the background 😁
He is the strongest villain
Him is HIM!!!
Which part? 1:00?
His infernal majesty
He literally got his tooth punched out by blossom!
Imagine they ended the show like that.
It would be bittersweet.
From what i heard this was the last episode
@@Ben-se5zw this was something they played between episodes from what I remember and not part of an actual episode
@@plashe9041 it’s apart of the powerpuff girls rule special which is technically the last episode

This was such an amazing performance from Sir Mojo.

same broo! silver days
1:10 Mojo Jojo was a bored ape before Bored Ape was a thing
Bored ape is in the cringe category not legendary category like Mojo Jojo, don't bring them together
He kinda was
WE GETTING OUTTA TOWNSVILLE WITH THIS ONE🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣‼️‼️🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
With mojo by our side
glad this episode came on the tv one day when i was a kid, it enlightened me on one of my fav songs and to the 80s era

Same here
This is what I think of when I hear this song
I still do 😂
Can’t believe mojo jojo was the first one and the first villain to cover this before gru and Le mal did In 2024 also poor mojo jojo 😢
I remember this part, such nostalgia
What a classic

Who’s here after watching the ending scene of Despicable Me 4?
Thank god I’m not alone.
@@BabyLambCreations i'm even rewatch this alongside Danny Avidan cover music video after watching DM4.

😂😂😂Literally me showing my girl this version of why i like this song so much after despicable me 4😂😂
Since when you watched despicable me 4
the only time we ever saw mojo feeling depressed about his failures.
Is it strange that this is better than the original version of the song?
Reminds me of my childhood
Tbh both versions are good
It’s a subjective matter, so no if you think it’s better, is isn’t strange.

You tell me, Pops sing "footloose" or Modercai and Rigby sing "We're not gonna take it anymore"
This is the best version of the song.
Along side gru and Le mal too

I love revisiting this video a lot, it feels so surreal...
Who's here after despicable 4?

Aight now we need Mojo Jojo and Gru to have a sing off of this song
Oh baby, nostalgia
I like the extra touch of Mojo wearing the same shirt as Curt Smith in the respective music video!
Damn bro this guy got vocals at the end fucking awesome
This is almost sad

I actually voice recorded this clip on my old phone and I would listen to it every time I would walk home from school. Memories
We need to see this same animation in the 2022 reboot.

Salute to The Golden era of Cartoon Network.
This NEEDS to be on iTunes! This and the Despicable Me 4 version are my favorite versions of this song. 😍🥰
Thanks for the remake or 4k addition 😂
we had a beautiful childhood
Who is here after Despicable me 4!
This lived in a backalley somewhere deep in my brain and it only came out recently 😂 glad to see I didn't imagine it
Incredible.
Despicable Me 4 thanks
We all lived the same life then? Good. This was a core memory for me and I’ll never forget when I heard the OG TFF’s song and hollered.

The only reason I watched this is because I just watched despicable me 4 and if you did too you know why
heard the original song on the radio immediately thought of this
Since childhood, I have seen how advertisements are scrolled.

Yeah, I even have feeling, that good PG cartoons are starting die out (at least such, which adults and teenagers can enjoy too). But how do you think?

I do like the throwback to Big Billy having only one eye. I had completely forgotten about that detail

This show introduced me to this song when I was still a kid LOL
it was strange seeing the amoeba boys fighting the powerpuff girls like sworn enemies when they were suppose to be too incompetent.
