You are literally the samosa queen. It seems other cooks and chefs think making samosa do is something only michellin chefs know how to make. But thanks to. your recipes, it clearly is nothing to be scared of nor is it anything difficult.
Thank you for the really detailed frying instructions Chetna. I really appreciate you taking the time to give such a thorough explanation. I confess i am always more than a little nervous when it comes to anything that requires me to cook using a deep fry method. However watching this I really feel like i could give these a go. Wish me luck! 😊. Also many thanks for the extra tips on keeping it vegan if i need to 🥰
They look delicious :) Thats how I usually make my samosas... the good thing about them is that you can add whatever flavours you like, I have experimented with all sorts ♥
Yesterday I cooked curry and rice beside it , and it was so delicious , me and my son we ate it at lunchtime also evening time too … it was really tasteful , I love all Indian food because it’s spicy 🌶️ food , and the samosa too .. yams… yams I love it ♥️♥️♥️
Great job on samosas Chetna. I too hv developed a passion for cooking. Her in New Zealand the authentic Indian cuisine is not available, though there are tons of restaurants. I make yummy cocktail samosas, can be kept for days or months. Goes very well with tea/ coffee or with drinks in the evening.
You made my day. Thanks for teaching and sharing this recipe. Very helpful that each samosa dough ball is 25 grams each. Two questions : Can i use the Air fryer to make these samosas? You mentioned the oil temperature should be 150 but after 2 minutes we should increase it. So what temperature should the oil be increased to without burning the samosas .Many Thanks
Dear Chetna, what type of flour could I use to make the pastry gluten free? I have a few options in my cupboard: teff, chickpea, sorghum, GF bread flour, GF pasta flour. Which of these you think would work best? And if I would like to add some peas to the filling what amount should I get? 😘❤️
@@yoginc I respectfully disagree. Same dough, same filling, just easier (for me) to make little half moons, because I've struggled doing what Chetna so artfully does. If it is against the law I'm sure I'll hear from her.

yes great with chai
It's a different ingredient between garam masala and Chad masala...? 🤔😇
These are adorable. The Kalonji is also sold as Nigella Seeds.
yessss
Thank you!
Kalonji are the seeds specifically of Nigella sativa, which is in the Buttercup family.
Yummy! I loved your comment about turning on the music and get cooking. Excellent recipe though.👏🙏 have a great weekend.

I love samosas. These look delicious
Amazing, thank you Chetna. I can easily adapt this dough to Gluten free, although I will most likely fill with Keema ✌❤🙏🥂🇬🇧
enjoy
Greg how do you make your dough GF? I’m asking because I have to myself…
@biendereviere by using GF flour instead of wheat flour and some Xantham gum, I use freee brand flour and get it from Tesco.
They look so cute.Happy eating.

The temperature can go up to 170 C. Yes you can air fry but I dont have one so have not tried it myself
@@FoodwithChetna Many Thanks
I leve this recipe so simple
I love samosas I order them every time I eat Indian food.
Second to comment! Just what I was looking for, Chetna!😋

Your pastry is absolute perfection! That crispy sound when you broke one open was the best!

@@FoodwithChetna thank you Chetna I will definitely do enjoy them 😁
Delicious

Can u make ahead / freeze?
She says you can at the end before frying. Or fry refrigerate and reheat in the oven within 3 days.
yes you can
Hi Chetna, what type of thali is it that you are using? (the one where you knead the dough)
What is carrom seed?
its the name of a seed
@@FoodwithChetna I know its the name of a seed (very funny) ! I just wanted to know if there is another name for it,

@biendereviere I use freee brand, plain flour and some xantham gum. I get mine from Tesco
Please~come cook for me!!!
hahaha sadly that is not on offer!
I make these regularly especially for parties but I call them bitesize samosas because literally that’s all you get
these are so good!
🙏
🙏🏽
Instead of deep frying, can we air fry the samosas?
yes you can try
150 °C is, for practical purposes, 300 °F.
yes
Is it against the law to make samosas a different shape? :-)
They won’t be called samosas then would they ?😅
@@yoginc I respectfully disagree. Same dough, same filling, just easier (for me) to make little half moons, because I've struggled doing what Chetna so artfully does. If it is against the law I'm sure I'll hear from her.
I’m all for it. 😂 the cook gets to do whatever they want.
@@penelopepalm That's what I say. Good cooks know how to make recipes their own.
haha then its not a samosa, is it!
You’re too friggin’ cute.
I lost you when you started deep frying 🫣
Love the cooking but all these clinical steps of weighing and measuring don’t make it appetising at all...
you got to be kidding me.......
