It was a time of fail-platoons. My brave CDC bounced attack from 2 angry Leichtraktors xD
Gives it 2400 base DPM, 0.33 base accuracy, 0.12/0.08 base dispersion when moving/turning, 60km/h top speed while leaving the rest unchanged.
It will look decent enough for me.
In real life the CDC was supposed to be a tank destroyer. Honestly this tank is not hard to fix. Just up its dpm, give it great accuracy and good camo values so it becomes some kind of low tier leo.

I remember when this tank was actually pretty good premium, and I remember Marty doing stream with comparing CDC vs FCM, which one is better.. those were the times :D
In my opinion WG should try to make it like a big baguette T8 leopard. Its already got the speed, maybe improve terrain resistance, give it god like gun handling, 280 alpha, 220-230 standart pen
if it was like a t8 leopard I would 100% buy it. I love the indien pz for sniping and smacking people with HE. If they would give it sniper accuracy and good HE pen it would be a fun tank to play
@@giannidisumma2948 I'm wondering how is it possible that tank which were one of the best premiums back in the day, now is marked as one of the worst. Ok, we have new, better tanks, but still CDC did not get any nerf and a lot of different tanks did not get the buff in the same time. CDC was always hard to play, now with a lot of HE based tanks it's even harder but still... Maybe we don't remember how to play it correctly?
@@kamilzawadzki4971 The meta completely changed around it. Other new tanks took up it's niche. Its not that it got nerfed or its peers got buffed, its that new tanks have essentially replaced the CDC in everything it can do. Any tank without a niche is a dead tank, because there is no reason to play it if something else does it better. Things like progetto and borrasque all feel like the CDC with far better guns to defend themselves and it's speed is no longer special with so many new mediums able to keep up with it.
buff speed to 67, standart APCR with 1200 shell velocity and 230-240 pene and alfa 330 with little bit worst reload(6,75-7,25sec), this tank would be pretty fun to play
@@bury4660 I agree with the rest but giving it alpha higher than 280 imo would just completely change the soul of the tank. At that point give it the Skorpion gun and make it a TD - it's already a completely different tank. Having low alpha (240-280) is what makes the CDC the CDC. Improving other aspects to the point the tank becomes good, while keeping the alpha the same, is a challenge WG should take on. Buffing the alpha just seems like a copout.
I think they should definitely buff the rof and acceleration, possibly even add a bit of camo to offset the lack of any armor
they need to buff the premium reward. With premium account, plus being a premium tank, SKILL could only pull roughly 45k credits? Really?

This tank needs like 2700 base dpm or something to even compete with KPZ 07.
That way you could potentially ditch the rammer to get a turbo, stabs or even exhaust.
My first tier 8 tank i 3rd marked, back in the days this tank was an actual monster. Good times. It will always have a place in my heart even so I haven't played it in years now

Years ago I spawned in the south on Highway in a LT, and almost my entire team lemming-trained into the city. I tried to get some to go north, but they ignored me. The only thing I could think of to do was to knock down every last bit of cover on the spawn, then set up in a bush to spot the spawn once my team started coming back from the city to defend it. It worked! My teammates were able to sit back, unspotted, and pick apart the reds as they rolled in and tried to cap with no cover. After that threat had passed, I left my bush and zoomed off to join one of my teammates from the city on the enemy cap, where we managed to cap out for the win.
It was one of the very few games I ever played where I felt 100% sure that my individual decisions won the battle for my team. I wish I had turned it into a YT video. 😢
I bought it 7 or 8 years ago as my first premium tank. Loved it. With high alpha, HE shooting, auto loading, and hull down tanks nowadays, it's completely useless. It needs a buff badly.

the only balance i could think of would be nerf the gun/HP and move to tier 7.
You can put it in Tier 7 as is and it would still be balanced, probably.
It’s a huge tank. All it needs is to not be as big as a barn. No one complains about the bourrasque’s gun handling.
I remember years ago this tank and the FCM were good. Back when I played more. My stats of recent haven’t been good since I took 2.5 years off. Averaged 4.3k in the M48 then came back only to barely avg 3.5k in any tier 10s when I came back ;(
I sold my CDC a few years ago, just not worth the frustration it caused me. I totally agree that killing arty takes priority. I have seen to many games lost, especially at lower tiers, when the M44 or Leffy have been left alive for too long.
The BZ176 has NO chance against the mighty CDC.
This tanks biggest nightmare is a t-34-85m with full he. Sure bz hits harder with 1 shot but the pure sadness of getting bullied by a 2 tier lower is just another level.

When this tank first came out it was amazing in the right hands.
If they just gave it a strong gun it'd fit well into a TD kind of role. Nice and fast, paper armor, sniper cannon.
I've been having some decent games in it lately... mostly after I adjusted how to play it and switched around my setup for bounty rammer, bounty vents, and turbo in mobility slot. The turbo definitely makes it better in my opinion. It is a shoot and scoot tank that has okay dpm but needs to have backup in nearly every situation. If you snipe keep it at medium range, it does not do well long range. Just assume everyone will pen you, and make your choices wisely. Be opportunistic and for the love of all things holy, never go in the front.
This is one of those old premiums that deserves a buff similar to the KV-5 and others that got buffed a while ago. Make it an actual glass cannon with better gun handling in the soft stats, and better groundresistances and traverse. then it could be quite fun.
Cdc vs BZ176 it is honestly a coin flip as to which to get.
if they put the AMX m4 1951's 127mm with 122TM reload on this tank, it would be pretty fun no lie

I think I’ve been playing WOT too long, my first premium tank was the KV-5, I played over 700 games in it before it got power crept, I bet I’ve played fewer than a dozen games in it this year. The CDC was my 2nd premium tank, I loved it, fun to play, but then it too got power crept, I think I sold it.

The worst part of CDC is the gun: it does not hit, it does not penetrate, and it reloads slowly in current meta... It used to be my favorite tier8 premium medium tank what a pity.
I like mine but you have to load gold and try not to be seen. Once seen, you get punished.

I don't know, I played it and it plays like a lower tier Leopard except for the gun not being as accurate at very long ranges. Armor is useless anyway on the most of the sniping tanks. Could use better camo and ROF, but I have seen worse. For me it is worth it, you learn how to find sniping locations on the map and keep yourself useful
even though it is bad, i still have lots of fun playing the CDC. just a few little buffs and it would be good again.
can you play on ASIA/HK server with only 1 tier spread and tell if it harder or easier for you and your thoughts
This is, oddly enough, one of the only tanks I've bothered to 3 mark along with the Maus and a few others lmao. I know there is something wrong with me don't ask.
Console version of WOT gave it some nice buffs to the gun handling and drastically improved the terrain resistances. Not worth buying it if you are a new player but if you have it gathering dust it’s went from bad to ok

This tank armo is not cardboard, skilllll you over estimate it. It is made by paper! Very very thin paper, it is so unique which the only tire 8 tank can be penetrate by tire 1!
The most annoying thing when playing this tank is the armo rack. It is hanging the ammunitions all over the tank so that it can carry so many shell but if you took two or 3 shots for the team at the same time, the enemy will watch fireworks.
It can swiftly change positions... back to the garage
This tank explodes nicely when I hit it with a 183 hesh round or a 17 cm HE round lol

There is a version of this tank is blitz called the Dracula it’s smaller, much more mobile, and tier 7, that tank is so much fun to play.

I love Skill and he is obviously a fantastic player. A gamer you definitely can look up to, his amazing intuition as well as impeccable patience. However, Skill's english needs a bit of work. I've watched Skill's YT channel since 2016/2017 and there is not much improvement in the language department over the years. Pronunciation is quite clunky and the vocabulary is pretty bad. I would have expected more improvement in 5/6 years. I really think that if the quality of the commentary would improve, then the amount of views would go up too.
His English is fine and are you are aware he’s playing a Character with the commentary (pronunciation and the Vocabulary) of a stereotyped cliche similar to Borat with it.. Hes not like that in real life and speaks very good English his vocabulary and pronunciation is probably better than mine and I’m a native speaker lol

I remember tha days of cdc tanks beating the crap out of me back in the day when i played with my comet. How ever those days are long gone. Just the other day i had a tier 6 prokurovka game with no light tanks in my borat. I saw the cdc matched against my borat and i laughed for a bit then i felt disgusted how unfair it was for the enemy team. Cdc and the team never had a chance.
The problem in this game is not only the quality of the tank, but the matchmaking as well. If they tweaked the mm so that a CDC cannot be matched directly against a progetto or borat there would be nothing wrong with having some bad tanks. But the MM makes a bad tank an awful experience.
@@giannidisumma2948 The problem is that that would result in eternal queues.
The whole idea behind the tank is flawed now. It's low alpha but with good enough DPM, but it requires you to expose yourself to use that DPM. With the bad camo, no armor and intuition allowing enemies to quickly switch to HE it's just unplayable now.
In 9 years of playing the CDC is the only tier 8 premium tank I ever sold (6 years ago).
It was a good tank. back in those day, premium tanks were usually weaker than same tier tech tree tanks, I think it was the first premium tank that as strong as tech tree tanks.

Even it its heyday it was a fast tank with no armor, low alpha damage, bad gun handling, and long aim time. The speed wasn't as expected because of the hidden ground pressure stat.

wargaming should remove the tank rework on its size gun accuracy cammo and reintroduce it or give all players that own it a refund, I played it and its plain pathetic you have to loose a ton of hp to do 180 damage
I think mobility is the biggest issue wit this thing, max speed should be AT LEAST 60, and the turning speed needs to be boosted heavily, because despite being relatively light for its size, and having a MASSIVE engine, it turns like an absolute turtle. So yeah, faster hull and turret traverse. Speaking of turret, that should be changed as well - the reason its turret is THAT BIG is because it is supposed to have an autoloader... So either give it one, or give it a much smaller turret! I can definitely see it working as an autoloading destroyer as it was supposed to be, OR a faster medium with smaller turret. As is tho its kaku

Corridor map design, tanks and equipment (higher overall mobility and shitton of autoloaders, high alfa or dpm), matchmaking... It is a complex problem not solvable by making a few radical changes (like skill based MM) as many players think so
The CDC was really a TD by design. Ive tried to play it as a TD....the gun handling and pen are terrible no matter what you do. Improve gun handling...make it a td, make it better alpha, fix camo a bit. It's the least fun tank I've ever owned and played.

CDC means Chasseur de char , germans called that Jagppanzer , also CDA means Cannon d’assaut , in german sturmgerät or Stug .
CDC is the equivalent of a Skorpion while the CDA of the Stug and no medium to see here.
Sometimes it feels WG isn't developing this game anymore. It feels like they just push the bar higher and higher with their monetarization and how far the custumer will follow with the cash. Can't they correct errors? Why dont brush up old Premium tanks so that they fit in the Meta? Same with overpowered crap like BZ-176... nerf this shit! 750 Dmg one shot cmon it totally ruins Skirmish everybody only camps nowadays.

i am pretty sure, most utubers and followers are calling this tank that bad just because it has become a joke. i am not saying it is good, far from it, but not that bad as it is presented by utubers.
but sure, some buffs would make this a tank i would play very happily. lets say, top speed 65km/h, base camo 16 (why should it be worse in these areas than pantera 44?) and bit better pen like 225/255. i think it would be a pretty ok tank then.
This junk tank should never see a tr 10 tank.
I bought CDC back in a day when it was op 10 years ago... Now its horrible. BUT. Tank is still fun even tho hard. And i think they fixed credits making on it since this video because i get 50k for loss and 100 000 to 150 000 for win.
CDC with 260 or 280 alpha and a bit better gunhandling would be rly good.

I like CDC, but I see it's flaws.
What would help it the most? A gun hitting 320, like Lansen's. Or at least accurate, like Char Futur's. That would be fine.
A little more speed would be usefull, but not necessary. Because what CDC lacks, is primarily a good gun. Nowadays it's not scary for anyone, even light tanks.

If you would give bit more view range, improve camo, acceleration and gun accuracy... This might be usable, but no way WG's going to do that. They are far too busy to squeeze money with new tanks that are optimized premium ammo instead fixing old tanks.

Happens all the time. Yes, the hill can be an advantage, but its biggest advantage only comes the team that doesn't take the hill plays poorly.
Make sure you or someone else drives back and forth along the cliffside to spot those on the hill and let your snipers kill them, and the hill can instead even function as an excellent trap for the team taking it.
To some extent, that is actually what happens in Skill's game, those on the hill ends up being the targets instead of the snipers.
