Mom had a 68 coupe that she bought brand new in Dec 67 (she traded her 61 Falcon). Delivered in Feb 68. 65C, Lime gold, black vinyl roof, 200 ci, automatic, power steering, Visibility group, WW tires, radio. In 1975/76 (I was 17) I converted it to 289 4-bbl. Around 1984 I disassembled it for a full resto (needed paint and body work) and conversion but it sat disassembled in my garage until I sold it in 2019 just before my wife died.
Very cool story, I'm sorry to hear you were not able to complete the restoration. It can be a very hard thing to let go of your personal history. Hopefully the car went to good hands that would be able to get her back on the road.
This is what I needed to see thx keep making these long step by step show us what we need to see errors or not so we can know.Great videos 👍Im about to do this its helping me .
Amazing I’m going through this but not a conversion just a restoration of a 1964 coupe 289; I pretty much pull the engine had the heads rebuilt and freshen up bottom end; but is a new thing for me as I’m mostly a sn95 and Foxbody guy but I want to finish the 64 build I have and your channel is giving me a lot of knowledge 🎉🎉I’m gonna have to do this soon a first start😮 I wish I had that machine to purge the radiator though 😂

Sounds good, what are we doing?
Where did you get the mats to cover fenders from?
Those are furniture blankets from Harbor Freight.
