The KingJoy VT-1500 is an incredibly good tripod that sells for less than $80. It features an aluminum design with a professional Fluid Head for the smoothest shots. In this clip show you all of its hidden features and show you why it’s such a great value. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for watching!

Well done, great review. Thank you!!
Great review. I got an old tripod that I know needs replacing due to its weight limitations. Now you got me looking at tripods. Gotta love this channel.
So informative!
I love the way you do the Christmas deal...
Very nice tripod. Great price too.
Mitch nicer than the $40 budget tripod I’ve been using.
great bit of kit
Paul, thanks for the post and I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. I think this is the best value I've seen in tripods and does everything I need in the field. Stay tuned for more content posting this week. Rick

Thanks for your great attitude Rick and hope you are having a great holiday season! I am sorry that I must share some sad feedback. Today is only Dec. 26 and already 3 of 9 Ryze TELLo drones are out of commission! My family ,bought a total of 9 of these as gifts this Christmas and 3 of 9 are dead already! IMU’s are refusing to calibrate! 2 of 3 were after very minor crashes.. I witnessed them at different family homes. The third was following a self landing at critical battery level! Oh man while I was typing this note I received a call from another family member.. make that 4 of 9 Ryze TELLo drones out of commission with IMU refusing to calibrate! I wonder.. bad batch or...
Update on Ryze TELLo problems.. it happened to my own TELLo just over an hour ago! IMU WAS A Pain to get calibrated again! Calibration kept failing as you go from position 3 to position 4 of calibration process. To make things worse after Two failed attempts drone overheated, battery was hot. I let everything cool down for twenty minutes and tried again! It failed at the same point again, so rather than wait for the drone to overheat I saw lights blinking green, and though the picture displayed on the screen for calibration had not changed I went to upside down facing away from me position, when lights finally started blinking green, drone position on the screen changed, positioned drone accordingly...and... drone overheated! I let everything cool down for 30 minutes, got a freshly charged battery that was cool put it in, restarted the whole calibration process, and when it got stuck between position 3 and 4 I just kept changing it position every time the lights began to blink green again! Finally after nearly two hours of this going through most of 3 fresh batteries.. the IMU was successfully re calibrated! My sisters are bringing 3 of them over to me now! Sheesh! Oh by the way after all that I put the props on wrong! Yikes! Their are no darn markings I can find! Just stared at them for several minutes saw their were two opposite pitched blades X 2, positioned the blade set at opposing diagonals.. and WA LA! Got the TELLo back in action! Sure hope it works for the rest! Happy Holidays!
Looks very sturdy. I can mount my Canon C100 or XF300 on it with no problem.
I got a tripod like this for x-mas
Sorry this is off subject but just heard that FAA wants every drone to have a transponder so that every drone can be tracked??
Any other information about this yet? Thanks
Cliff, this initiative was part of the last FAA re-authorization bill and they are just getting to set some standards. It's not that big of a deal and just means that local authorities will have the ability to identify rouge drones that are flying near an airport or some other sensitive area. The honest truth is that most drones flying today already have this technical ability and can be tracked (and located) by their Wifi signal. The real reason for the change is that there will be a ton of commercial drones flying soon and they will need to be able to track and avoid hobby drones in the air along their route. I'll be doing a clip soon to explain it in more detail as I'm sure they're be a lot of unnecessary drama around it.
Rollei Smart Traveler Video was ideal travel tripod for video camcorder/camera:
Titanium, price 50 euro, height 50.5 cm, weight 959 grams, maximum height 165 cm, Twist-Lock system for set up in just 9 seconds (currently is not available).
For comparison: Kingjoy VT-1500 Video Tripod, height 60 cm, maximum height 165 cm, weight 2.16 kg.
That's a great view for a fluid head tripod.
I'm on the production team at our church and those Miller tripods will really spoil you.
Having a fluid head and locking legs like these Rick is talking about AND the bubble balance is a real plus
That carrying case is also something you must have to keep the dust and grit out of your equipment.
Thanks again Rick for bringing this to our attention.
D Hansel The Millers, Sachtlers, Manfrotto and other professional tripods I’ve used allowed you to bubble balance the head without micro adjustments to the tripod legs. They cost far more and can handle heavy camera loads. But, they are indeed great to use in pro video productions!!
@@larrybothe8246 The tripod I am using is bolted to a concrete cylinder in the floor.
Both camera #2 and camera #3 which I'm on supports both Sony studio camera with the $72,000.00 cannon 40x digitally stabilized lens.
I took a picture of the lens and looked up the price and was amazed at the cost of it. We have two cameras and lens like that and 3 others that don't have this setup.
The zoom control is butter smooth.
There are adjustments on the back of the tripod that you can turn the two knobs to adjust the weight of force on the tripod.
Before that we were using 3 miller mobile tripods. I was told we spent $ 4,000 for each on of these.
I know when you get into commercial production studio equipment the price goes up just as if you are buying medical equipment.
D Hansel Enjoy it while you can! I’m retired now, but I still keep in touch with my younger broadcast and professional media colleagues..!!
@@larrybothe8246 I understand I have been retired since 1997. I was ask in 2004 if I wanted to run a camera. I said yes and have been on the production team since them. I remember it wasn't long after that I was sitting watching the director/technical director do his thing. About 10 minutes into the church service he took his headset off and said "Doyle take over I'm sick" and he left. This was the #2 church service with about 3,200 people in the audience. Usually when I get nervous or excited my bladder goes into overdrive :-(.
I didn't have time for that. I got on the 'clear-com' and told the camera people that director left sick and I am now the director/technical director/shadier.
After the service I had the graphics man and lightning engineer turn and give me the thumbs up.
You can set the mood of the production people .... if you are calm they will be calm. They will get the shots and focus when you tell a cameraman what shot you want.
Understood. I fell into directing somewhat by accident too. Then I kept doing it for the next 20+ years! A colleague of mine used to technical direct TV coverage for the Detroit Red Wings. People visiting his control room were surprised at how calm and quiet it was. He explained that his crew knew hockey very well and their role as camera operators. All he had to do was select the pretty pictures..!!
Hi there Rick...hope your enjoying the holiday season....
Don't know if you've heard about the "V-coptr Falcon" zerozerorobotics.com/
Sounds impressive from the company specs.....
Thanks for the post and the heads-up. I actually have one on order and they are saying early February for delivery. I like to stay ahead of the tech and this one looks really interesting. Stay tuned for updates on this one and the new Skydio that just arrived on Friday. I'll have a ton of drone clips posting these next two weeks so be sure to check back. Rick
@@Dronevalley Thought you might be on this.
You the man Rick......👍👍
Has anyone heard of any winners from this Christmas giveaway he was doing? I seen none on this channel???
Thanks for the post and I am drawing the names as the contests end and notifying the winners. Belive it or not, the first two winners haven't responded to the winner email so I'm giving them 3 days to respond or I'll draw another name. Once I've notified all the winners and found out if it's OK to use their names in the announcement, I'll do a quick clip to announce all 12 contests. Remember that a few of the contests are still going on through the week so it's be a little while for all of the prizes too be awarded.
@@Dronevalley thanks Rick!!!!
