Ramsey's face in the back when they're talking the first few minutes is hysterical!! Ricky and Jonathan are incredibly funny!! I really have to say I much prefer comedians from the UK. I swear I have more clips bookmarked and when I'm blue I open that file and watch. These two are among my favorites!! THANK YOU for loading these because they are not on the BBC channel we get in the US.
Gervais's comment about one liners is generally true, which is why Mitch Hedberg is so great. His jokes are so unexpected and original that he give one liners the personality Ricky is talking about even though it is hard to do.
Sometimes when I'm home alone I turn off all the lights and take off all my clothes and jam out to queen pretending I'm in a rock and roll band with Ricky Gervais
Funny you say that haha. I have the exact same laugh as Ricky and my younger brother has the exact same laugh as Jimmy lol :P When I listen to recordings of us it is mental! :D
"You know what I weally hate, Wicky?" "What do you really hate, Jonathon?" "I weally hate it when I'm widing my bike, pedalling weally hard, giving it evewything I've got, and then someone else on a bike goes widing stwaight past me. And I look over as the other wider goes wocketing past me, and it's a little old gwanny. I'm out of bweath and she's barely bweathing at all." "Well, she's probably riding fast to get to her own funeral before she dies." "Don't be widiculous, Wicky. Nobody wides a bike to be buwied at theiw own funewal."
Ricky Gervais changed the face of American Television. How many Docu-soaps/Mockumentaries do you have on your networks now following the Office? Britain has churned out some of the funniest people on the planet, all from an Island the size of a single state in the USA. With only 60m people.
I didn't even think of that haha! Maybe I should, I have little snippets of video/audio with my brother and I laughing but not enough. Maybe I should make a small compilation and upload lol :D My laugh is pretty damn contagious if I am out in public, like .. at the pub or something, Oh damn! lol :D
Anyone else notice how Gerv is never on Jonathan Ross these days? They used to be mega buddys and now Gerv only seems to appear on Norton. Smerch, on the other hand, once uninvited to Wossys Bday parties, now makes appearances on JRs show AND NORTON! I wonder if Ricky has fallen out with Wossy as well as Smerch and Mr K Dilkington?!
@gietek It is edited you know. They don't show the full interview, they cut it up so there aren't any boring or inappropriate parts, that's probably why it doesn't sound natural. They've shown the audience before, they often shout things out. What would be the point in a silent audience anyway
@KryzMasta Or, he wants to be healthy and live longer? If people lose weight for the right reasons, I think it's not vain at all. Gervais is 50 after all, it's never too late too change your life.
@GSeward this is weird...i saw a comment in a david letterman video and ricky gervais was the guest and a british guy wrote " i wish we had a host like like letterman in british tv " , and it was a top comment
I think it was great that Ricky lost weight & kind of made over his image more recently, but on the other hand, before that, I always thought he was cool because even though he was a little chubby & maybe not the most handsome guy, he used what he had & didn't seem to really fret over it that much. He wasn't vain about his looks. I look up to him for that.
Britain does have some very thoughtful comedians, but that doesn't mean America is lacking them. If you don't believe me, search up George Carlin, Richard Pryor, and Dave Chappelle.
he is rather fucking incredible, I'll give you that. I was recently in Ohio and I asked a friend to name famous British comedians: Chaplin, Gervais and (I quote) "Russell Brand, but only because he married Katy Perry".
The only thing I didn't like about this interview was the Stephen Merchant joke at the start. Merchant deserves just as much credit as Gervais! He is a genius.
Ricky Gervais is a great character. Absolutely hilarious in everything he does.

Easily the best British comedian. His interview on The Daily Show was hysterical.
it looks like ricky was interviewing jonathan ross
I love English humor! Absolutely brilliant!
i fucking love ricky....that guy is so funny!!!
Gervais you are my fucking hero! Best professional piss taker in the whole world. Guy's a genius. I love his humour.
Ricky's face when he said "Okay.. put gardening!" was just a picture xD What a lovely big grin he has xD He always cheers me up.
Ricky's a straight up G.
Gaylord?
Did you see that film last night "Gaylord's say no"?
Honestly three of my favourite people in the world
this had to be the greatest episode of any late night show, gervais, gordon, and silverman. EXCELLENT.
Gervais's comment about one liners is generally true, which is why Mitch Hedberg is so great. His jokes are so unexpected and original that he give one liners the personality Ricky is talking about even though it is hard to do.
Sometimes when I'm home alone I turn off all the lights and take off all my clothes and jam out to queen pretending I'm in a rock and roll band with Ricky Gervais
ricky gervais is the god of all comedians.
cheeky... i love brits.
Ricky Gervais is just too funny!
"She was a keen racist." 😂
Amazing and natural, one of the world's best ever comics!!..Gervais!! ..just in case u read this Ross!!!
He's amazing
8:18 Love this story, I'm in tears!
@Threxd Cheers for the wonderful insight into the the guarded secret of TV editing
Funny you say that haha. I have the exact same laugh as Ricky and my younger brother has the exact same laugh as Jimmy lol :P When I listen to recordings of us it is mental! :D
30% of this is in his 2018 Humanity Netflix show . . . . .
That laugh on 1:02..
Love Ricky gervaise
Hoo?
It's nice that ricky is doing the police man bit in his "NEW" show in 2017
Ricky is the best!
legend our Rick
3:55 Ken Dodd is the greatest one-liner funny-man in the business and has people gasping with laughter all night long. So it depends on the comedian.
I love Ricky!
I wish American talk shows were more like this...
Lmao...Ricky and Johnny are so funny together.
@Threxd You mean like almost ever talk show ever right now? Whoa! Thats so amazing.
Anyone else genuinley impressed by how he can squirt water like that?
That's what he has always said. Apart from the obvious English shows all of his influences and creative ideas are depicted from American TV.
he spoke on it in an interview. Sorta influenced his comedy. couldnt say which one. Marathonning.
3:55 Unless you're Robin Williams... whose whole show is all 1 liners.
But he's a character so I guess that doesn't apply lol.
The only one-liner standup I've ever really thought was brilliant was Rodney Dangerfield. His 'No Respect' routine from the 90s was out of this world.
Brilliant
A table of my imagination. John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Stephen Fry, Ricky Gervais, Micky Flanagan and me.
I'd chose Jesus Christ ( ask him if he really is the son of God). Lol
Flanagan not worthy in that company.
My apologies for my redundancy. Currently a few beers into game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
I think they can be the great duo together!
Love Gervais great export
"You know what I weally hate, Wicky?"

"Well, she's probably riding fast to get to her own funeral before she dies."
"Don't be widiculous, Wicky. Nobody wides a bike to be buwied at theiw own funewal."
That was painful to read.
@gietek It's not canned laughter, they have an actual audience who genuinely find him funny.
3:54
*Jimmy Carr has left the chat*
Jimmy knowws how to keep it going tho.
He has many one liners, but he mixes them up with stories as well
where are my writers !!! Brilliant!!
he spills some water on himself at the end haha
Yup. :)

i would love to see johnathan do standup
he is a 1# comedian

tilt your screen forward for heat vision
I wonder if Ricky's brother laughs like he does. that'd be wonderful

does anyone know if the video of ricky gervais giving johnathan ross a kitten is on youtube ?
ross is legend!
i love gervais! but Jimmy Carr is a 1 liner genius, dont get bored of him!
Smerch wont be happy with that joke at the beginning haha :P
I wish Jonathon wouls stop interrupting so much. I actually want to hear what Ricky has to say!
he has done a talk show was called meet ricky gervais
he did one already. it was called Meet Ricky Gervais.
@surfer53
Friday night with Jonathan Ross is actually a BBC 1 show :)
@KryzMasta Or, he wants to be healthy and live longer? If people lose weight for the right reasons, I think it's not vain at all. Gervais is 50 after all, it's never too late too change your life.
What a quality bloke
Wicky is on fine form!!!! 😈🐕🍷
3:53 - Sounds like Rickys been to see Jimmy Carr live.
Jonathon ross and Ricky gervais are good m8's.
As far as him saying one liners, exception to the facts Stephen Wright And Mitch Hedberg
love their interactions
@UnderTheAffluence I know, I sometimes wonder if its the same person.
Imagine Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle laughing at the same time.
I think Ricky Gervais should write a comic book like wossy. That will be awesome.
@GSeward this is weird...i saw a comment in a david letterman video and ricky gervais was the guest and a british guy wrote " i wish we had a host like like letterman in british tv " , and it was a top comment
CAN EVERYONE STOP GETTING SO NATION HAPPY! JUST ENJOY THE INTERVIEW!
@mcjuvey1 He's done one already, pre-Office.
Meet Ricky Gervais.
@philipisphilip incorrect
I think it was great that Ricky lost weight & kind of made over his image more recently, but on the other hand, before that, I always thought he was cool because even though he was a little chubby & maybe not the most handsome guy, he used what he had & didn't seem to really fret over it that much. @Seger213 Amen to that
Fair play some pretty stupid questions and yet again asking about RG being a late starter....awkward
@KryzMasta He may not care, but the production companies that make his shows do.
Is 2.38 to 2.46 Ricky's Russell Brand impression?
Why would you say that?
story about e is on a podcast
Ricky still using that Policeman story to this day
I didn't know Ricky used to be this bubbly....
He did do one.
lmao, very funny
Britain does have some very thoughtful comedians, but that doesn't mean America is lacking them. If you don't believe me, search up George Carlin, Richard Pryor, and Dave Chappelle.
I want to hang out with ricky gervais' family!
Don't know the first one. But Robin Williams is obviously an insane comedy genius. You should try Bill Burr too.
he has, it's called 'Meet Ricky Gervais'...
fucking christ...ricky needs to come back to johnathan ross's show soon...this is hilarious/
he's such a genius, but so wrong at the same time. British Humor! gotta love it
he is rather fucking incredible, I'll give you that. I was recently in Ohio and I asked a friend to name famous British comedians: Chaplin, Gervais and (I quote) "Russell Brand, but only because he married Katy Perry".

@mcjuvey1 He did, its called Meet Ricky Gervais.
Ross is THE BEST HOST EVER!
