If you followed him on Facebook you'd realise he wasn't doing what everyone thinks he was doing, he was making jokes he is a comedian, he still has a lot of the same political views and opinions as his Hollywood peers, he said he does and made it clear he is a liberal just like them.

5:00 I’ve seen Louis Theroux meets Keith Harris and KH came across as painfully aware of his fall from fame and seemed desperate to be liked. I think he wouldn’t have been able to accept any jokes levelled at him and that’s probably why he declined. Shame really as most people’s respect for all of the actors who took part in Extras went up. So basically I think he did have that neediness in real life that the actors who took part in Extras pretended to have.
