@@jimmygimbal i am trying to purchase the Large Aspect™ Grow Light Gift Set Color: White Pinocchio Wall Hanger Color: White - 2 lights, 2 hangers @ $350. It won't let me use the code. Please let me know if there is an update - I will hold off my purchase until further notice.
I have a Soltech light. I bought the large black aspect light about 5 years ago. Still going strong and my plants love it. I live in a tiny apartment so haven't bought any other lights from Soltech For color, it's perfect. Puts out a bright warm light that runs 3500-4k kelvin. The 1500 lumens is so nice and bright and only ever so slightly warm, like the most bright beautiful sunshine. It makes my plant leaves shimmer. I will be buying more once I finally get into a bigger place. They just make the space feel so good. Quality is good and like I said, mine is on 24/7 and has been going on for five years nonstop and still just as bright as the first day I put it up.
I've been growing peppers and tomatoes under a 100 watt four panel garage light in 5000 Kelvin and it's been working well. They get some sun through the window, but not enough by itself. Plus one of the peppers needs more light hours during winter than there are hours of sunlight or it doesn't fruit. It puts out 12,000 lumens, so it's good for plants that need full sunlight. It looks like they put out the same lumens per watt as your lights. They're just brighter because they use more power. Peppers and tomatoes both bloom and fruit at 14 hours per day.
I tried those lights with my mini Orchids, but they didn't help much for blooming with them. I currently use Spider Farmer LED lights with excellent results, but I guess it's the look you were going with. My 1000 watt unit is very trim with a wide enough light to properly cover my 4 ft by 2 ft by 3 ft tall orchid case evenly with the spectrum needed, plus it is fully dimmable for seasonal grower's. But for regular houseplants, your lighting system is adequate. I hope you're using distilled water in your humidifiers, as they will mineralize up easily over time making them less effective..I use distilled water with all my plants, just check the ppm when I feed. 👍🙂
I have a few Spider Farmer SF-1000. I am sure you're grow light actually uses 100 watts. The SF-1000 is killer but I have went through many different. By Far MAXSISUN MF-2000 are top of the line also MIGRO
The spider farmer SE7000 is amazing for real. I started my prefered plants at 50% on the dimmer, and worked my way to about 65% when in the final stage of the plants life. I couldn't ask for a better light.Though it would not look nice in living areas lol
@@Amy-gp9fhbut that’s point he’s trying to make… the light he uses covers his entire orchid cabinet and works better. If you have a large collection of plants using a light that has to be sitting directly next to or over top of them isn’t efficient.
This light's amazing. I bought one last year and my albo loves it. It gives off virtually no heat. Albo has been popping out a new leaf every few weeks. If you can afford it, def recommend. 👌
Jim, I'm extremely envious of your window garden. Your passion and care for your plants certainly shows. With the new addition of lights, your plants are really happy by rewarding you with such a beautiful bounty new growth of leaves. I live in Connecticut, where I built a sunroom which is 45 years old now and it is 24' x 14' with 5- 5' x 5' windows, which also faces South and all our plants just thrive there. But I'm thinking of adding a few grow lights to two areas of the room.
@@TazawaTanks That’s a good start! 😆 I really like your Mangrove Tree growing out the top of your tank too. Above the rim plants look so cool A Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma would look amazing vining around your room.
Thank you for your review on grow lights. Can I give you a tad of advice. While humidity is important. Last year I had a humidifier as close as yours and I got mealy bugs very bad. They likely came out of the soil and attacked the plants foliage. The week prior they weren’t visible at all. So they can come so quickly, it blew me away. Ive been gardening for 40 plus years. Thank goodness I’m into whats going on with my plants regularly even if only turning a tad for light exposure and not watering I’m still checking everything out. So I caught the mealy bugs before any of the neighboring plants were infected. I did treat the soil of the close by plants use in case. just in case. But be very careful. lol. Its interesting, I started my plant journey when I was a teen and newly out of my moms house. Back then I would buy little plants and watch them grow. I’m 65 now and doing my own landscaping for our brand new home we built where after the builders were done we had a house with grass and two trees one out back one in front and a tiny garden. It’s now a year later and its looking like we’ve been here close to years. Yesterday, I went to a gardening store where I buy trees and such for outdoors. I was looking at houseplants and one I saw there was $39.99 I was shocked. The following day I found the same plant same size at Home Depot for $16.98. So glad I didn’t buy the one for $39.99. I didn’t want to pass it up but the cost just made me gulp. We are north of Dallas, last winter we got snow something Dallas hadn’t seen in 29 years. So it can get pretty cold here. I’m used to Southern California climate, prices, choices, care etc is incredibly different. Learning about over wintering. I’m in my second year of learning this. We built a green house for getting my plants through winters. This is all very Highly educational and interestingly challenging.
Aw. Very sweet hearing your journey. I used to live in Abilene, TX and in Los Angeles as well. I check for bugs every morning by eye and magnifying glass. I will be sliming down soon and focus on certain plants but I’m loving this journey and every plant I pick up I research where they came from and their own little history. It’s been quite a joy so far. Thank you again for watching and commenting.

Plants look very healthy, very impressive you remember names 😀 have been contemplating to buy the large light for a while. Can you please share the tall humidifier model # and brand? Also, can you shoot a video on the Kasa timer setup, please? Thank you.
Awesome. Hope you’re loving the lights. The 3000k warmness in the winter is a lovely touch I didn’t expect. When everything is so white and blue, a little warmness brings quite an esthetic to the home.
amzn.to/3rG4M8Q Link for ya! :) It's Absolutely gorgeous. 2 con's though, Can't really point where you want the humidity unless you rotate the whole thing and to fill it up, you gotta take out the neck then the basin, which usually has some water in it, so it kinda drips everywhere, but I guess most humidifiers do that. I just find top filling humidifiers a bit easier. But 100% this is super aesthetic and functional.. AND it's a essential oil diffuser!
Everything looks good my friend, great job 👍, side bar is it possible for you to tell me what is the tv in the room looks fantastic, please let me know the brand name and model number thanks but excellent job

Yay! Let me know if there is any questions you have!
@@jimmygimbal I will!!
Somehow I never saw any plant videos until tonight. Are you keeping aquariums anymore?
I'm enjoying this though. For a number of years I worked in a hydroponic greenhouse complex where I learned a lot about tropicals and Pointsettias. I'm going to enjoy your plant work.
Great job Bro! Love all the new content!
Thank you for the suggestions!
Your plants are beautiful and thank you for the demonstration. I love your set up.
Absolutely! :) thank you so much 😊
I would definitely watch that Monstera Thai Constellation since the white can easily get burnt or turn brown under direct light. Looks really cool and modern though!
So far so good!! Everything is still doing great :)
Stunning product am buying several......
love your videos, jimmy! Esp the plants, your so great with them. thanks!
At the 20:23 mark the plant is a Lana Angel Wing Begonia. It also has a pink flower.
Your piece of heaven is so beautiful. Well done.
I have the large black version. I love it so much that if the sun ever went out i would be happy to be under this little gem
Good info man! Your code just saved me 66 bucks on the Large Aspect bundle, hope you got the kickback!

Ok - I need to see what you are doing to keep those begonia looking so GOOD! Mine just HATE me!
I should probably get these. I have all my outside plants on my dining room table and can't use it until after the spring frost.
I really like your plant room!
Nice Aquarium Co-Op sweatshirt!!! LOVE Cory!
Haha thank you. I am the multimedia production manager for aquarium coop. I film and edit majority of our videos :)
@@jimmygimbal How cool! No wonder it is raining in your video! You are in SEATTLE! I have an obsession with guppies because of Cory....
I've got a feeling by just a quick glimpse that you are familiar with takashi amano..
And a very nice set up there my friend I must say. Simply gorgeous I'm looking into that lighting as well myself for a small area.. it looks like you were around 60% on humidity?
Keep up the great work! 🙏
Oh absolutely! :) I’m from the aquatic world as well. Ya my room is about 65 humidity on average. When the fans kick on it goes to 55. Thanks for stopping by

Oh, are you into fish keeping? That’s the real question lol
Hahah of course I’m into fish keeping. :) thanks for watching
You have beautiful plants 💚
Thank you :)
Love your Plants!!!!! Keep up the good work :)
You silly goose -- hindsight isn't "50-50" it's 20-20! Lol. You are rather wonderful. Thx for this helpful review.
Hahaha does that mean I can’t fly planes? Yeah, I’m not very bright… unlike these lights!
So incredibly inspiring, Jimmy! I am loving my house plants! Their health and prosperity are just as important to me as my Fishy Friends!❤
Thanks Regina!!! Every time I buy a plant, I whisper to it like phoebe did to her bike.. “please don’t die..” haha
Love your vlogs Jimmy 😊👍
Really nice video your plants look awesome
Love the content! Can you do a top 5 beginner plant video? Would love to start somewhere and build that confidence. Thanks!
Ikea tends to carry very easy to grow, lower light requirement, indoor plants... if you have an Ikea nearby. Zz plant, dracenea (marginata is nice), pothos, peperomia, chamaedorea elegans (parlor palm), schefflera (umbrella tree), sansevieria trifasciata - reclassified as dracenea trifasciata (snake plant), low- light succulents: aloe Vera, zebra haworthia, gasteria.
These lights really do make a huge difference. Never had such good success with a bulb change.
Thanks for sharing!
Another excellent video.
I need these lights!
Yeaaah you do :) or use a Fluval nano
Bought a sol-tech aspect large in the fall. It's kept a giant yucca and an olive tree growing through a dark and cold Canadian winter :)
**edited to tell you the begonia that is dark with silver splash on it is called "Begonia Sophia Cecile"
Thank you!!! Haha 😂
I’m just picturing these lights over a rimless planted tank…. 🐠. Now if it were dimmable…
Plants look very healthy, very impressive you remember names 😀 have been contemplating to buy the large light for a while. Can you please share the tall humidifier model # and brand? Also, can you shoot a video on the Kasa timer setup, please? Thank you.
I believe soltech makes aquarium lighting as well.
Some beauty’s
Wow!! Love your bedroom!!
Thank you!
Hope you have more catch & cook vids 🙂
I will in the spring, it’s really cold out right now
@@jimmygimbal will wait for that! TC
If you come here, bring everything we need to ice fish, I will go with you. Haha
I ordered the kit during Christmas because you can get so much percentage off, came with two of those lights. But I didn’t get the T-shirt!!
Awesome. Hope you’re loving the lights. The 3000k warmness in the winter is a lovely touch I didn’t expect. When everything is so white and blue, a little warmness brings quite an esthetic to the home.
What a beautiful collection! What state are you in? Just wondering what kind of light you get. Thanks again for showing what is possible!
I am in the SUNNY STATE of Seattle, WA. 😂
Woot what kind of humidifier is in you're pretty plant space?!
amzn.to/3rG4M8Q
Link for ya!
So gorgeous .❤️
You said, "cord hanger upper" hahahahaha!! Very informative video, these are just what my plants need.
Can you check for the brand of that awesome humidifier (under or around it) you showed at 16:25?
Love how you have decorated that room.
Thank you! I’ll make a video about it! A lot of ppl are asking. I linked it somewhere in the comment section.
@@jimmygimbal I could not find a link under the description or comment section.😥
amzn.to/3rG4M8Q there we go :)
@@jimmygimbal Many thanks for the prompt reply!!
