- There was not a dry eye in the ballroom Tuesday night as “Dancing With the Stars” pros, past and present, reunited for a beautiful tribute waltz in honor of Len Goodman.
The breathtaking performance - which ended with the teary-eyed dancers glancing over at the late judge’s empty chair - was choreographed by Jenna Johnson and Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
OG pros like Mark Ballas, Kym Johnson-Herjavec, Tony Dovolani, Karina Smirnoff, Anna Trebunskaya and more all returned to the ballroom for the special routine, dancing alongside the current Season 32 pros, co-host Julianne Hough and judge Derek Hough.
Speaking with Page Six after the show, Johnson explained how her and Val’s vision all came together for “Most Memorable Year” night.

Jenna and Val deserve an Emmy for that performance
100% agree
All the dancers who participated deserve an Emmy also. They all understood the assignment and accomplished it with perfection.
absolutely
100% agree
The most beautifully choreographed dance that I've seen! Great job Val & Jenna.
Derek learning that whole routine the day before without being able to attend the full rehearsal with everyone and he was the one to lead the dance off proves why he is the GOAT... that being said Jenna and Val did fantastic job and deserve kudos and an Emmy as well
Jenna and Val, I will never forget this dance and the deep emotions it evoked. Every aspect of it, the elegant choreo, the staging, and especially the end, was pitch perfect. 🌹🕊
Should get an Emmy.
So beautifully done.
Love everything about the tribute.😊
As of today weve rewatched it at least 20 times and we still cry as much as we sis that night. Ive watched every season so for me it was hard
What a great performance jenna and val that dance made me cry
Brilliant, amazing, heart felted, magic choreography. My admiration and respect for Jenna and Val! What a great, beautiful couple they are❤❤ They deserved an EMMY!
She’s amazing teacher I got taught by her and val
I miss him so much😭
So beautiful and so much class.
Pretty amazing stuff
Yes that was the best ever tribute 🎉😂❤🎉❤!! Was moved to tears.😭
I've watched it 11 times and the tears so yes you are quite right.
Amazing video.
If Jenna and Val don’t get an Emmy for this then the Emmy system is broken
Emmy please!
Perfection.
I did
Sometimes we say negative things that come back to bite us.
Beautiful, but missing SHERYL BURKE , who was there from the beginning and many people follow because of her AND KARINA SMIRNOFF DIDN'T SPEAK , one of the MOST AMAZING DANCER and choreographer in the show .So NO JENNA , really important people in the show wasn't there😢
take that up with the producers of the show and not Jenna! all she did was choreograph the piece alongside Val.
Whoever the new people are at the show are ruining it. Sharna and Cheryl (im sure others too) deserved to be there and shouldn’t have been excluded.
Witney & Lindsay too.
@@bleudiamondbleu im sure they opted out but i know cheryl and sharna were excluded (not from the pros the producers)
I agree, why weren't Katrina & Cheryl in this performance? That wasn't at all right! They should have been included in that performance. Not at all cool.
