Last March, days before the initial lockdown, Lurgan & Urdd Gobaith Cymru launched a partnership with the aim of coproducing Gaeilge/Cymraeg projects involving young people from both organizations. Covid restrictions meant that our initial workcamp planned for Conamara last summer could not happen. To affirm our commitment to this highly exciting project Urdd & Lurgan have produced this new year remotely produced colab which clearly demonstrates the comradery, affinity and commonality of both organizations. We look forward our first, in person, recording, videoing workcamp here in Indreabhán, Conamara in late summer 2021 (Cúrsa D).

In the song, I think that : yma = emañ (be somewhere or being), 'n = 'n/an (the), ti = ti (house), iawn = yaouank (young), ac = hag (and), heb = hep (without). I can see similar words in lyrics. But it's more easy with Cornish. Breton, Welsh and Cornish are from the same Celtic family of languages : the Brythonic family. But inside this family, there ara 2 parts : West and Southwestern brythonic. Breton and Cornish are in Southwestern part.

Languages that were forbidden by foreigners, nearly erased from memories, are to be celebrated and spoken. these young people in organisations like TG Lurgan and their counterparts in Wales and Scotland and Cornwall are doing an amazing job through the medium of music and dance in popularising these languages once again. They deserve every ones support.
