- On the 3rd of December, 2003 the world of business jets was astonished with a new model of a light private jet presented by Honda Company. The new plane appeared to be really great in terms of fuel economy, flight comfort, efficiency and range.
Nearly any competitor couldn’t offer the same options as HondaJet HA-420. But the time flies and the jet started getting older in terms of technologies. Literally hundreds of first-generation jets were sold, so in 2018 Honda decided to reconstruct the model and produced HondaJet Elite.
It’s an absolutely new version of the jet that is said to be even more advantageous than its ancestor. The HondaJet Elite is now selling like crazy. Companies and flight operators all over the world are absolutely ready to pay $5.25 million to have it in their fleet.
Today we’ll tell you more about the pros and cons of the jet. Want to get updated on videos like this one? Subscribe to our channel:

As an avid owner of 3 Honda motorcycles and 3 Honda civics I am working my butt off to finally move up to the next level! :^)
Isn’t an NSX next in the works first? 😂😂 hope you reach your goal I love private jets👍
Can't wait for type R version
Acura will make that one. :)
@@infiad1275 Only in stupid countries.
@@captainwin6333 Gotta go along with you on that!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A co-pilot is not required as the jet is certified for single-pilot use.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who caught that.
Saved me the trouble of asking wtf Hondajet was thinking not making this single pilot Certified. Thanks!
I caught that too! Thanks!
As Abraham Lincoln once said, “don’t believe everything you see on the internet.”
The problem is not the certified single pilot, but the insurance company denial, if there is only one pilot.
This looks like a bunch of footage cobbled together from other online videos, yet presented as original. It's not. In addition, some of the interior pictures are of another aircraft, not the HondJet. Deceptive.
The newest model is the Elite S.
I like and I love HONDA Jet it's so beautiful in the sky like Kingfisher
Some interior photos are from a different jet NOT a honda jet. Also you state it needs two pilots to fly that is FALSE!!!! Get your facts this video is deceptive.
Love this jet! ✔️
_Amazing showcase overview of content. Next; Pros and cons of the Embraer Phenom 300E 2020_
Ah yes. Watching a video introducing something I'd never ever afford
Compact airplanes (business/personal jets) should be the future of commercial flying.. Add that to the growth of hybrid and WFH employment era.
Lovely stuff! There better be no hidden cons tho 😅
When I become a multi-millionaire I’ll buy this plane. Why? Well, because of economy and the fact that it can be operated by a single pilot.
Short field performance is still the weak point of this plane given its range and speed that can be overlooked
True. But we can stuff 6 pax in there and still get close to those numbers
@BingBang Less than 5000 feet seems pretty dam short-field to me.
Super awesome
Got my elite for $5 mil. Don't pay a cent above that! Honda will settle.
I heard Chong is getting the 420 one;)…..
Esse avião é muito bonito adorei massa🤩😍😍😍😍😍
I really like the Hondas
For many of you batteries aircraft lover, don’t bother mention comparison with this lovely designed and engineered in America. 50% less fuels consumption certifications from the US government officials.
I will own one either flying or just parking next to the house. Over 20 years flying no death? What’s impressive records? Great job Honda Jet.
20 years of flying, but only a VERY few Honda Jets in operation. So not that impressive.
- they sold literally hundreds of first model (112 is not really hundreds)
- the new model is equipped Garmin 3000 (the old is too, just got minor software update)
- the jet requires the crew of 2 pilots (it has 2 seats but it is single pilot certified) ;)
- there are optional 5 th seat, (and the sixth on the toilet, and one instead of one of the pilots, so you can carry 7 pax + yourself)
Etc
Gorgeous jet
Range is trash and cost per hour is outrageous too!
Cost per hour is not much different than Cessna Citation, the competition.
Honda Jet 2600 will be hitting the market soon Maybe
ill b pickin you up soon boo :)
Nice jet!
Absolutely
I will order one
4:57 ". . . requires a crew of two pilots." Are you quite sure of that? It appears that you are spreading misinformation.
@Stories... I believe the Narrator misspoke ... I believe he said Single-Piloted ealier ...
Awesome!
meu dieiro ta na conta
Awesome but still need some improvement ...
Toyota jealous of Honda. They want Lexus enter the market too.
I wonder why Honda Jets are not used for flight training or by any flying schools....even Embraer Phenom and Learjets were used by some flight schools...
So it will still be a roadblock aircraft in the air for ATC. Less than M7 at cruise.
What does that mean?
@@DerekDavis213 it’s too slow to fly with the big boys.
@@87toyhighlux But all other small jets are no different, right?
@@DerekDavis213 yes and no. Citation 550s 500’s, and others like that, but larger ones can go faster. Think of this as your on the freeway and doing 70 and there’s the car or vehicle doing 55-60 and backing up traffic, The Honda jet is doing 60
@@87toyhighlux oh ok, I see what you mean.
But Honda Jet can fly at 485 mph, that's a decent speed. Compared to small prop planes, that's like a Ferrari!
Super power jhet HONDA 👍🛫
And it has a YOKE
Jet Token 👍👍👍
Cant they just make private jets affordable like cars??
Aviation is too government regulated to be cheap.
Honda V6 engine costs $10k. Honda jet engines cost $1 million. Garmin avionics is bank too.

Interesting that it's essentially an american product. Maybe they couldn't find the expertise in Japan. Surprising.
It seems like a good product with efficient engines. Strange though that it weighs 3.3 ton empty. The engines are only 210kg each and you'd think that a carbon fiber body and wings could weigh much less than 3 ton.
Prefer Toyota made jet gearbox doesn't fail like Honda 😏
Truth is that certification took far too long.
This plane first flew back in the 90s before Honda bought it from the American engineers who designed and built it in North Carolina.
Yes….. it is American technology.
But the name sure is Japanese: 本田 (Honda)
😍
👍💯
No arm rests. FAIL
May I ask a novice engineer question? Engine on wing. In failure of fire or explosion or damage from collision it's taking the wing with it? Also, windows look too big and too square. Also, perforated blades. Won't that exacerbate metal fatigue? I would prefer less comfort knowing that I'm not riding on a razors edge of design error. OK, I'm done.
The best looking and of course the best compact jet 🛩
The Jet needs a crew of two, NO IT Dont .. you don't understand much
It doesn’t require 2 pilots. It’s single pilot certified.
Very good job Honda.
Now please go back to creating grate Motocross bikes like you use to in the 80s....
That's what that also want !!!
HMC Honda shares will fly
Yes, definitely Japanese plan. No matter where it's built.
Built in North Carolina
Built in USA, with American engine made by GE. And engineers are American too. So, ???
@@DerekDavis213 ge honda engine designed by honda made by ge honda aero engines..
@@putraappm How many born-in-Japan engineers are working full time at Honda Jet in USA? The plane is American, just admit it!
Does it have VTEC?
You said that it has not brought any person to death in nearly 20 years so that begs the question .....has it ever?
It has only been here for 20 years, so no, it hasn't.
I feel they should have made the trim levels EX; EXR; SiR; Type-R
Type R 😅😅😅😅
Dear Santa, ...
What happened to HJ's single pilot authorization ?
It is single pilot authorized.
@@inspireaviation5564 I thought it was, but the vid spoke of two pilots.
@5:07, did you say the jet requires two pilots? Garmin G3000 avionics reduces pilot workload so that Phenom 100, 300, can fly by one pilot. Same for Pilates PC12, and 24 whose Honeywell avionics allows one pilot. The Daher TBM 940 also uses Garmin G3000; it requires only one pilot.
HondaJet is 1 pilot certified, we didn't include that in the video. It doesn't require two pilots, but there is still the place for the second pilot which can be the place for one more passenger.
Ok clearly not an aviation enthusiast
Correction... range of the Hondajet Elite is 1437 *nautical miles*. That's 1653 regular miles.
@SithLord "Regular" miles = Statute Miles
I love Honda Jets!
