I wrapped some aftermarket taillights on my Colorado that had a heavy recess. First time I've ever tinted taillights. I tried looking for vids on RUclips for the longest time of someone wrapping recesses in taillights and didn't find much. I went ahead and gave it a shot. They looked good right after I was finished but about a month later I started to see the recessed areas pulling up. Womp womp. I'm going to have to redo them but watching the video definitely gives me confidence that I'll get it right when I do them again so I appreciate you covering this.

Handy you can use a lighter tint on the backup light area so it stays usable.

For this civic model, I'd very much rather buy an aftermarket set of rear lights than to do anything with the stock ones cuz of the enormous variety there is for Honda parts. Tinting is cheaper, yes, but for a civic sedan, it doesn't bring all that much character to it imo. I also own this exact civic btw in gun metallic

How do you wrap for a 2020 civic lx halogen headlight. I have tried wrapping it but I’m not able to get the tint to sit well around some of the curves on it.

You should do the front headlights on these 2016+ civics. They're a pain to do!! I gave up on mines lol. There's 2 groves that pop out and it's difficult to keep the wrap in place, unless i was not heating it enough to make it stay.
Bro. Try the restoration on them. Sanding it down to then polish made me just want to buy a new set. Major pain. I did a half job and decided getting new ones instead.

Just a quick question, if your lights are sanded can you still get good results with the vinyl tint
I would say no, because everything shows through the vinyl. So if you've roughed up and sanded the lens, then you're gonna see all of that roughed up surface and scratches.
Why are you cutting off the audio when you're trying to explain what you're doing
As an auto tech wouldn't it be easier to just pull the taillight out wrap around the edges and reinstall? I mean most lights come out in 5 minutes or less.

Vvivid vinyls. Check their website, or even look up what they have on Amazon. Really great stuff. Used it a few times.

Tint the rear lights of a C7 corvette, they are really difficult.
