I am sorry, I laughed to tears at the reaction to the startup sound. And, yes, I watched it several times. Another perfect video, Sorin.
I literally scared my cats laughing when it happened again later :D
that's proper sick 🤣
It was the highlight of my week ... lol
I even switched to slow motion. Sorry :D
Same here, Sorin you are so funny :)
Hahahaha! I feel so bad for laughing but at the same time I know exactly what sound you were talking about. Brilliant Sorin 😂
Hahaha. His face. So serious and then booommm
Pls sorin, the name and model of ur thermal camera? Thanks sorin

You never fail Sorin. If you do have this laptop make sure you unplug the speakers or have a second pair of underpants handy.
@ilikeito: lol. Yeah. I think it is better to secure the second option (underpants).
MAAAAAN ! my headset was on max volume when the sound of the boot logo showed up, I was gonna swear 🤬 but your reaction made me burst into laughter 😅 because it wasn't just me.
The second time really got him lol!!
This is so sick and funny. Sorin's reaction is the highlight of the month. It happened to me before with this ROG laptop, so finally I'm not the only one who got scared.
Pls sorin, the name and model of ur thermal camera? Thanks sorin

Sorin, you should know that we were scared along with you when the bloody laptop turned on! but all kidding aside, you're doing a great job! your videos are addictive to those who are passionate about such things.👍
When I saw the abbreviation ROG in the description I prepared myself mentally to see a CPU and/or GPU running hot under the thermal camera...that owner got lucky and I'm glad, great job from you, thanks for sharing. All the best.
PS: ROG = Republic Of Gamers, they have a sublime initial sound... lol.
Another similarity to my first experience with the ROG laptop - That opening sound scared the hell outta me too! (Note: I quickly turned down my headphones when you began the startup just so my ears didn’t fry!). Your reaction is priceless. Nice work Sorin!
Suna la pornire ca și cum ai scos sabia din teacă
i think that sound can be disables in the bios.
I have this laptop and love it to death.. I currently have been having issues with it powering on and feel it was something simple but after watching this video. I plan to take it to the shop. 😂
Thanks for making me laugh Sorin , always a pleasure to watch your videos!
GREAT Job 👍 😮
Really nice job.
for your reaction 💯
love from india and I appreciate for your knowledgeable videos.👍👍❤❤🔥🔥
Did you had this issue on your laptop
I had the same issue but not sure if i should repirenit here (ireland) or from India.
Please let me know how much does this cost aswell?
Thank you for making this laptop repair videos . I learned a lot from them ! Also that startup sound got me too 😆
I love it when damage is visible. I've got two boards with shorts and I can find no sign of failure. A thermal camera would be very handy methinks.
No capacitor no shorted capacitor , the manufacturer said: less capacitors less shorted capacitors
Thank you, teacher. That sound is like a sword, scared me too !
Dam, I never get the easy ones…. Nice quick find !
13:12 - Wow! I’ve never seen that look on your face before! That was classic! It’s ok. You can go home and change. We’ll wait.
0:35 this is a niiiiice strategy, to skip the unscrewing and keeping the cracking opening sound
I love when the login sound kicks in
Ce tare e faza. Mai intai zici nothing blow up și pe urma boom 😂
thanks for the videos
I feel you sir. That dodgy sound came while we focusing on the sign of live after fixing it. I will quickly pull out the charging cable if it happened to me. THIS IS SICK. ASUS just played prank. 😆😆
13:22 double shocker video 15:59 🙂
Nice to see it was only a shorted capacitor, lucky customer!
That start up sound was dodgy 🔥
nice repair
Nice fix dear Sorin
Sorin, I thought you eye is gone when you started laptop 😂. Thanks for the video
De acord, Sorin, si pe mine m-a speriat sunetul!!!
The replacement capacitor was soldered not on to the original location.
Hope fully the other one was paralel to it. :)
Human memory fail. Needs service. :)
Next video Sorins memory replacement.
Come to Beşiktaş,Sorin....
@12:08
And here is dust,
Abandoned tree trunks,
Nothing around
A lonely soul,
A rusted mast
Sorin they dont add all capacitors because Asus knows the laptop will fail and end up to you and you will say "there's three more its fine" haha
😂 I exactly know how you felt when that sound pop up, my shop is near a Highway and I always get startled everytime i hear a loud honk from cars and trucks 😂.
Think I watched the ”moment” maybe ten times. Very hilarious Sorine. 😂
It's a good thing those 0.1µF capacitors can readily be unsoldered off many discarded boards.
salute to my best teacher Sorin hahaha!!!
I had one of these. You can actually turn off the startup sound in the UEFI firmware menu, they probably saw your video lol
I've fixed 3 of these with the shorted capacitor, some in the same location others in the front of the board between the GPU/CPU
Funny, at work got the same brand in the repairshop with the same issue and this is the 2nd Asus Rog repair i saw on RUclips 😮. What are people doing with that machine, or it's a mondaymorning product from Asus 😂? Nice repair job👍
Nice video Sorin, you made me laugh with this one. I have been watching your videos for a while now, I have no intention of trying the repairs myself, just love watching, I am too old now myself. Has anybody ever told you you look like a young Frankie Howard, he was funny too. Chris.
Sorry mate but i love yor reaction ...
All are nice laptop (except lenovo) 😂 but even if its lenovo, at the end its always: « I cant beleive, we have picture! » you are the best and master sir. 👍🏾
ill be wacthing you always sorin here in philipines🎉with a nice and very usefull video
Hi Greetings from Bulgaria and truly a great professional, how many degrees do you set the gun to
Sorin !!! You need to come whid current after the 2 input mosfets on the corrent sens resistor ! Chek on diod mod if its bips first !!! And then do it !! Cen belev im telen you this ..
Ha și eu m-am speriat!😂
Thanks for sharing!
Lol.... right at the beginning you said this is a nice laptop!
Bahahahahahahahaha!!! That was the BEST laugh of the month! I thought the same thing, a capacitor just exploded. 🤣😂🤣😂
Wow! Nice!!!
Good job mate 👍
Nice one
Brother you got scared twice. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅... Amazing your video powerful💪😎 your work🌹
Oh man. This was a funny video. Loved it
Lol i got jumped too for that boot up sound. Thanks headset.
i love ur reaction with the start up sound thats crazy haha
Use to wait for someone powering up while testing a machine and bang the side place with a screwdriver, heart attack time but a good laugh.
"If its a shorted mosfet on CPU ,bye bye"i literally died 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha the ASUS "SHING" noise...classic
Kapasitör ooo pörfect 👍👍👍👍
13:23 this is amazing i LMFAO and repeat it like 1000 times aaahahahaaaaa, i need 2 videos a day @Sorin
Sorin this laptop repair is more interesting.. because it scare you twice.. 😄😄
I think everyone jumped when we heard that startup sound lol. o_O
i guess someone took that capacitor and never replace, as i see there is already flux on the board, obviously it is already repair, as i mention in the other videos you post, if one of the parallel capacitor is damage you need to replace all of them, remember you said in parallel mosfets, same as capacitors, if you remove one, the ones thats left will carry all the stress, and you never know some of them are open and only one is working, thats why fault is coming back.
Using the correct calibrated capacitor, the laptop is fixed.
My question is if this laptop is nice or not...
thanks ray liotta father
SIR you made me burst out laug hing when you got scaerd by the noise 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 however thank you for everything
I'm sorry, I Laughed so loud about Your reaction to the startup sound. So Funny😭😭😅😅
That is awesome
Wtf 😂.Sorin use flux for the capacitor? And he changed it?Wow :)
16:00 jajajaaj those nerves, a lot of coffee
13:21 I had the volume cranked up and i also got scared from this sound omg haha (nearly fell off from my chair)
I hated those sounds and now i just found one more reason to. (owner of Asus G731GW)
first thing i did on my brand new laptop was to disable this startup noise sound.
"It's making that sound like an exploding capacitor... If i'll be to have a heart attack it will be from a startup noise of a computer... but it makes exactly the same noise like a electro lithic capacitor which is exploding... you know that moment on the first "pssssssffffff"
your reaction to that was epic
I HAVE NEVER EVER LAUGHTED SO HARD. dude omg i nearly chocked
13:25 Asus is trying to blow your mind! :))))
13:23 15:59 - This is joint revenge for all those capacitors I believe :D
9:09 - If you are removing capacitor, we are still waiting Merch "Of course I will replace shorted capacitor" :D
An easy repair. This is not what I usually find when I go to repair. Normally, they are more complicated repairs, in which you have to consult the startup sequence, the boardview and the main schematic; as well as having Bios and EC firmware. Replacing a pair of shorted capacitors is the most common circumstance. Nothing surprising.
13:22 to 13:26 on repeat a lot of times, cant stop laughing for quite some time now, thank you and i'm sorry :)
"It IS a hair"! That actually made me laugh.
it works great and sounds fantastic! hahaha
Wonder, would charging with a powerbank or per usb-c charger still work or does the broken power jack mess with that? If it does but it does still not work I assume it would mean something else got fried too I guess...
But why you remove the capacitor on number 4 slot and put another one on number 3 slot ?
Sorin, I'm sorry for laughing 😂😅
😂 Me sigo riendo cuando se asusta lom
I didnt quite understood the part where he just fed power to the board, one point to the ground and another to some component??
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have improvised on the manufacture and added a few more caps 😀
Lol startup sound you are hillarious😂
i just couldn't stop laughing when i saw you jump when the noise came from the laptop. Made my day. 🙂
I had a good laugh after that noise🤣
13:23 :D
second time 16:00 :))
... first romanian customer? :D
hey! I have the same laptop, rog strix g531gv, I found the power plug faulty, I replaced it, the adaptor is good, but the laptop won't start after I plug out the power cable and put it back in. It will take around 30 minutes to start up. I don't know, would be the battery the issue? I guess if I had a short on the motherboard, the laptop won't start at all..I repeat. I unplug, plug back, have to wait several minutes because the laptop tends to shutdown. But when it starts, it works at its optimal capacity.
Hi would you be able to share the details of the 6.3v 220uf smd capacitor? Thanks in advance
I'm so so sorry Sorin, I shouldn't be laughing but that scary reaction of yours with the most serious 'LOL' was VERY funny.
Another job, another lesson. Keep posting more vids please, you're doing a fine job Sir 👍
I have this craptop and it sucks. The hinge design is stupid and the charger cable can slip between the screen and laptop and cause the bezel to break if you close the screen. The stock wifi card would disconnect periodically and the bios update that was supposed to fix it didn't do anything.
Now Days We Can Used Auto Scanner Tools for Analyzed damaged
Easy and Accurate
Soo not need to manual analyzed👍
Auto scanner? wtf
Scared me too!
Hi my laptop is the exact same model,my laptop is not charging but its powering On with the charge left on the battery, I've tested my powerbrick and its fine so what might be the issue please help out this fellow subscriber!.
sorin put the cap back on, sorin put the cap back on, sorin put the cap back on, we all have tea ☕🫖🍵
