Telling them they don't look like toddlers enough when they the styling is high heels, red lipstick and dark eyeshadow ??
I also think it's weird because they're all clearly way taller than their "mom". I really feel like the toddler concept really flopped.
So creepy!! It seems like something for fetish, or that you would see on my strange addiction.
I also think that if they somehow managed to look more toddler-like, they'd get criticism for that too, like "you're supposed to be a model. Yes you were supposed to be a toddler here but you need to remember the model aspect too, be more glamorous" or whatever, sending them extremely mixed messages. It's so true that the girls can never win no matter what. Everything they can possibly do is "wrong"

Yes, it seems like their was some cross talk and misconceptions behind the scenes. The Jenner girls were dressed to be Wednesday Adams twins and Kris was also in a gothic style outfit, but everything else was super bright colors. None of the models had anything remotely resembling toddleresque style outfits. Half of them wore what looked like 1950's style undergarments. How are they supposed to appear like toddlers? I too thought the theme seemed fetishistic when they said it, but I think ended up being more some sort of quasi-Gothic/infantilization Horror theme.
I like how the photographer interrupted Jay's rude comment with proper direction. It looked like Jay was not so needed when you have a photographer that is doing what they should.

I have a theory that the photographer this episode was super professional/no drama because the show knew that the Jenners would be on set and hired accordingly? I can’t be the only one getting annoyed that for the one photo they said to the girl “you need to look more like a baby” and to the other they said “I love the sexuality.” Then for other girls they kept saying “bring more sexuality into it” like are they babies or not? Like if you want sexuality and toddlers in the same shoot Tyra I think you need some help.

Their not sexualising toddlers, so many of the judges comments were about them being too sexual. They wanted the innocence of toddlers

> Child exists in a constant state of anxiety, wanting to please their mom but never knowing how
I know about it because my mom grew up in a household like that, broke the cycle of abuse, and was honest with me about toxic people growing up, so I developed a very keen eye for dysfunctional relationship dynamics.
It's amazing how many of them I've seen regularly used in reality tv.
Oh, I should say that the purpose of keeping a victim in a state of anxiety with inconsistent expectations is a way to keep them subservient.
Anxiety clouds rational thinking, because it's basically the hindbrain (associated with instinct and basic survival) sounding off alarm bells that there is a life-threatening emergency you need to deal with.
If you're constantly worried about pleasing an abusive parent, or abusive reality tv host and judging panel, then it's harder to critically examine your relationship with them and realize that you need to either change things or get out of the situation.
The photographer was like "you can't be mad you're a toddler" like I think she was the only one going in the right direction. Toddlers are angry monsters 👹

This is probably your overall most positive ANTM reaction which was great to see! I'd love it if you would consider reacting to the Episode 3 shoot from Cycle 15! The girls are suspended as angels evoking different emotions. The judges were dissatisfied with nearly all the photos and I'm curious what you would think. Thanks ✨

I don't mind the ads, like yes girl get that coin, but just a little feedback. For me the volume difference between your video and the ads is really big, so I'm constantly having heart attacks when an ad pops up! Great video though, as always :D

It’s actually an industry thing for the ads to be louder than the movies/tv shows you watch. A few youtubers have realised this and now mix their audio louder but Jessica’s audio is actually nicely leveled if we’re talking about sound mixing.
The volume difference between her reference video and her own video alone is enough to make me dizzy; I didn’t mind the advertisements though..
I’m glad someone said this! Even with RUclips premium and no ads it’s really hard to hear the show and having to crank up the volume all the way to hear the show and then back down to like 10 to hear the commentary was challenging to do it so much. Especially with my remote being slow 😭 Love the content and this is a simple fix that will make it wayyyy better! ☺️

You know, Jessica, idk if you have seen the "hands" shoot from Cycle 24, but given that you're enjoying the direction the photographer provides in this one, you might really like that one. Tyra shoots it and she's actually quite good at explaining to each of the girls how she would like them positioned/posed iirc.

I mean she should. Get those bags and exposure. Plus she could help some models as well since the commentary always been so unhelpful
honestly yes, but only so I can go and positively encourage the girls, give them hugs and tell them in person how amazing they are and how much I support them 😊
Idk if it would be a positive thing. I've heard from past season contestants in multiple interviews that this show is damaging to their modeling careers. Not sure how it would be for the photographer though, but a ton of the models said that they weren't getting booked for jobs after the show and the reasons they were being told was that ANTM was not respected by the modeling industry and didn't actually teach them anything useful. Obviously I've never been on the show or know anyone personally, I just know something has to be up when a lot of girls have that same story. I would not want you to get any negative repercussions from being a part of the show. You're too wonderful and such a sweetheart. Love your kind, caring personality!! 💚💚💚

@@missbraindamage it depends though. Like there was that rumor that they literally couldn't find a photographer willing to do the race-swap photoshoot so they had Trya do it all of a sudden. Depending on how controversial the shoot is, it could definitely be bad for anyone involved.
It’s possible the photographer was with other celebrities and that’s why his help was so professional same goes for the critique from the judges

I would put money on Kris having chosen the photographer because she wanted to make sure that she and the girls looked good. That's why he was good and actually gave direction.

This is actually my favorite shoot, based just on the concept. I think it's so weird and campy and I love everything about it. I love the creepy aspects, the childlike set, the kids that are still acting like toddlers with the two Wednesday's, I love all of it. I don't know why ppl don't like the concept 😭 I think it's so unique and I could look at these pictures all day which is the point of good photos. I wish I could do a shoot like this.

Mr jay said this was his last cycle on antm and didn’t really do the direction anymore, so I guess they told to photographer to do it. It so weird to see him not saying much on set because he wasn’t the creative director anymore.

If you want a break from America's Next Top Model, I grew up watching the Australian's Next Top Model (which I feel has aged better except for the 4th season). I really liked some of the photo shoots they did.
