- Pasteurization is the process of heating milk to remove any pathogenic bacteria that may be present; without altering the flavor. HTST pasteurization is one method and UP or UHT pasteurization is a newer process that's used more frequently. More questions about Organic Valley milk? I wonder if a study has been done regarding whether the human body digest pastutised or unpasturised milk better. Simply because science shows there's an unchanged nutritional value does not necessary mean the nutrition will be absorbed by the body.
Probably the study was done and it didn't look great, so they quit looking at it.
A lot of people take calcium supplements that aren't adsorbed by the body.
weird thing is, i got mild stomachache and watery stool when i drink pasteurized milk, while doing fine on raw milk.
watched videos about pasteurized vs raw and decided to test it myself. that was like, wtf lol. been boiling my milk for years thinking that the watery stool is a good sign, turn out it just my body failing to process it perfectly.
for me, raw goat milk rules.
Lies. Pasteurization is for extending shelf life while it destroys the enzymes in milk which would normally prevent it from being so inflammatory and unhealthy to our gut. This Frankenfood leads to leaky gut, fatty liver, pre-diabetes, Crohns disease, lactose intolerance, etc..
Thank you so much for your helpful information.
I drink only raw

From where do u buy raw organic milk ?
@@akhilapattar6144 In dairy farms, you can google dairy farms near you. Or you can raise your own goat or cow for milk, cheese and yogurt. Hope that helps.

do raw milk have bitter taste or bad taste could you please answer?
Thx and have a merry moo year!
Thanks for this informative video
i was always confused.😀
It didn't show me the importance. Other than improved shelf life
You won't get brucella bacteria in your milk
0:18 It really sucks how when you turn 50, working somewhere for 5 years doesn't sound long anymore. :-(
5 years doesn't sound like a lot of experience. The typical dairy cow only lives an average of five years.

I'm guessing you turned 50, 3 years ago? I'm turning 43 in 10 days and I'm already having a complete freaking crisis over it... 😫
@@ant1bliss wow, really?? I had no idea only 5 years...
edit: I just looked it up, because I thought that sounded odd.. I guess what you meant to say is they're "retired" after 5 years?
Anyways, fwiw, I just read they're used for milk for 5-7 years and live 10-15, sometimes up to 20.

No rapid heating to specified temperature and rapid cooling

Organic valley, there’s a lot of information out about ultra-pasteurization denaturing proteins in milk, which can cause issues. It’s one thing to say that the milk isn’t as nutritional dense... it’s another to say a type of milk is ‘not good for you’.
Is this true, with any real evidence? I tried raw and didn’t care for the taste, so I’m wondering if low-temp pasteurized has a significant difference from ultra-pasteurized milk.
Thank you for your question, Chad. Scientific studies have not shown significant differences in protein quality between pasteurized and raw milk. Additionally, we are required to pasteurize our milk in order to cross state lines. Importantly, pasteurization neutralizes harmful pathogens that may be present. We offer a majority of our milk products in HTST (low temperature) and UP (ultra-pasteurized) versions to meet the various needs of our fans. Please feel free to reach out to our Consumer Relations team: bit.ly/312fOWJ to chat further about the differences between milk options.
Heating anything to those 2 temperatures will ruin all the nutrients in it. Just like whenever you cook your food, you're essentially killing all the nutrients. Their milk has such a long shelf life, because it's only water. Lmao.
@@ItalianoDio- it's not only water but pure oil/fat after UHT, that's why I prefer original method or pasteurization (If raw milk is not available)
Please tell me why when I drink this pasteurize homogenized milk I get thes horrible feeling like anxiety like throughout my whole body and head.

Why is ultra pasteurization the preferred method for organic?
Because they think we are stupid.
Probably to give it more time to sell.... It doesn't sell as well as regular milk. You know they have uht milk in sterile packaging like Tetra packaging and that whole process the milk can last up to one year and even be stored at room temperature on the shelves. It's convenient and Dollar tree sells a brand of it.
It's the preferred method because it increases shelf life.
Wow - a 4 year old lad asked me to watch & learn. Thank you kid + video makers 🤓⭐
I understand the importance of pasteurization, but I don't like homogenized milk. I want the cream. Does pasteurization process effect the non homogeneous state of the milk? The cream tastes the same?
Thank you🙏🙏🙏
Um, if kept cold, raw lasts around 3 weeks. I’m pretty sure the heat also kills a significant number of the good bacteria. Temperature doesn’t discriminate. And I’m also pretty certain more is done to the milk than just heating it. One example. Raw milk is yellow, not white. Explain.
True, they think we're stupid.
Super video thank you
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I say the truth
What type of cows do you use
Cow is a cow 🐄
So why not do UHT for both organic and non organic milk to increase shelf life v
Why do you as a consumer need longer shelf life? They are tricking you into thinking this is good for you somehow. It is only good for the manufacturer, to sell you milk that has been sitting for 45 days rather than straight from the cow. Once you open the package, it is going to go bad much faster than that.
Cuz uht taste bad.
Why not use UHT for inorganic milk as well, to improve the shelf life of inorganic milk?
well... they are doing UHT for inorganic milk too.
WHY DON'T YOU GUYS SELL THE PROTEIN POWER ANYMORE!!!! IM A BRO AND I MISS MY PROTEIN POWDER!!! #SAVETHEBROS
THANK YOUUUUU
Wait Americans drink heat treated milk????
In australia heat treated milk is kept in the pantry for those odd occasions you run out of fresh milk. You will suffer the gross taste of heat treated milk untill you can get some new fresh milk.
Exactly! The U.S. and European dairy industry are liars.

What is Pasteurized milk? | Ask Organic Valley
Good very good
So raw milk is dangerous to drink
If produced responsibly, then it’s not dangerous at all
Yeah Pasteurization is great for when you need to transport it into big cities since not everyone is able to have a cow in their home. Otherwise raw milk is prone to going bad during transportation. I'm all for good raw milk but it's just not possible with how many people there are.
Never we drink raw milk from generations lived up to 90 and above 100.
@@tonyrodh Thats not true, with modern technology, transporting milk would not be an issue, and if countless small farms weren't being run out of buisness and attacked by the FDA there would be plenty of it
I think pasteurized fake indigestible shit of what’s left of “milk” is the most dangerous toxic thing your body would consume hence is why you suffer from bowel problems literally every time you take a sip of the fake white liquid.
Pastorasation: when the Pastor convince you to donate your milkmoney😂
RAW MILK is better for you.
Nice
If UHT milk is faster and has a much longer shelf life, why would UHT not be the more commonly used pasteurization method? Hmm
You raise a good question, Greg! Actually, UHT pasteurization is the preferred method of pasteurization in the organic milk industry. With that being said, the options may vary based on the products your local stores carry.
@Nemanja Vuletic HTST pasteurization has been used for a significantly longer period time than UHT pasteurization. For this reason, there are simply more facilities set up to use the more traditional HTST method than the newer UHT method.
@@organicvalleyOkay, let me straight this... You mean, that the UHT method requires a "way more expensive processing machine or facility?"
people dont use UHT milk for latte and many type of drinks.
HTST milk TASTES better

Raw is better
Won't it be more harmful to people health if the milk is extracted under a poor hygienic way? Like dirty hands ,dirty containers and cows?
@@omoharry2173 Yes
@@omoharry2173 So don't do that, and also don't pasteurize. Their video lies to you that the milk is unchanged. Half of the milk proteins are refolded when heated and cooled so that they are no longer usable by your body and wreaks havoc in your digestive system. If you don't think this is important, then just imagine if half of the screws in the world were manufactured as left-handed instead of right-handed and then you don't label them or separate them, but every time you buy a pack you would just get 1/2 and 1/2 all mixed together.
You either get it or you don’t 😂the comments above made me laugh
Raw makes me sick. Pasteurized my milk and dairy products please.
