Holly crap a gun youtuber whose not covered in tats have a beard and not claiming he's some bad ass operator ,that's never been in combat ,Good on ya bro !
5:44 I can't stop watching this over and over
How there’s any dislikes on your videos I’ll never know. Great videos! Love the content, love the fact that you’re a family man, love the all around normality of you Piet, keep it up! 👍🏼 thanks for the great videos!
There’s dislikes because not one a district 9 reference was made
Catching brass coming out of the action is nice, but it can be a habit that is detrimental to a competition shooter. It becomes muscle memory and you end up doing it subconsciously during a stage. I have seen people catching brass and dropping it in the middle of a short time stage where the last few seconds could cost a point. I used to do it and I eventually stopped because I found myself doing it instead of running the bolt when I needed to.
Training scars. Agreed.
Agree 100%
I’ll elaborate. I used to attend an IPSC style class weekly to hone my pistol skills. At the end of a stage you generally rack the slide to clear your chamber and many people catch the round from the chamber, I did for a long time.
So one day during a force on force class, high risk low light room entry, so basically warrant service, what do you think I did out of muscle memory when I finished a drill?
I sure got some WTF are you doing looks and told sternly to cut that s&*t out.
In my first long-range class, there were about 8 students on the firing line and we were pretty close together. To keep from hitting the guy beside me with brass, I began to work the bolt slowly so that I could grab the brass with my fingers. This lead to firing and then coming off the scope to make sure that I was grabbing that brass. It was amazing how deep that got programmed after just a 2 day class!! Now, I put a pack or rifle case between me and the next guy, work the bolt hard, and stay behind the scope!!
Thanks for the information. Picked up my first larger caliber rifle a few months back and today just jumped into your Precision Rifle. Looking forward to learning and hopefully shooting a PRS match some time in 2021. Happy New Year from Pennsylvania!
Personally I go for the pint size. Does everything I need and fits perfectly for every surface and even in smaller slots
Good info Piet, proof once again that sometimes less is more.
Great video Pieter!!!
That gun is incredibly stable, if that's not a testament to MDT chassis I don't know what is. Obviously user skill is a big factor as well.
Hi ya i s, been running a bag hunting for fences, post etc so i dont marr chassis. It works well for me staking ojt a few foxes. Regards damo.
Quality video. Great advice. Thanks Piet
Pieter I find airsoft bb's work very well as a media as well. And they are very light.
Fantastiese video Pieter. Die videos help my baie. Soos die tip vir jou rus sakkie. Amazing pal, baie dankie.
Kinetic Sand?! My daughter plays with that and I can't believe I never thought of it as a fill material! haha
Some say, you can also use Airsoft BBs ;)
@@francoisstoltz7762 If I lived in one of the many countries where airsoft was legal then I'd definitely try it but unfortunately good old Australia is a nanny country.
@@reece674 condolences bud, at least you guys have other cool stuff.
@@francoisstoltz7762 Yeah we have our trade offs
I went to fill my bag with it. 3lbs of it is 15 dollars. I need like 7 or 8lbs of it. It’s an expensive filler.
I like the editing in this video
Great title! Love the content!
Glad you enjoy it!
Awesome as always piet
Your videos are really amazing!
LMAO!!! Wish I had seen this last week! I tried to sight in a new scope this week off of a bag with "styrofoam beads" in it and it was like resting the rifle on top of a disintegrating sand dune. My groups just slid around and I could not get a stable platform. After every shot my rifle had sunk into the bag. Which means of course is it was sinking "during" recoil! Ugh! I subscribed and intend on ordering an Armageddon Bag tonight! I hope the discount code still works? Festive2020?
Ive been practising my case catching, even 22lr lol
Daai defender staan bietjie naby aan daai plaat ... hahahahah
Me too! LOL I can catch at .223 every time but only about 50% of the 6.5 Creedmoor...at the moment!
Really curious about the use of kinetic sand. Is it a better option over the standard sand fill used by Armageddon? And if so, what are it's relative merits. Playing with the stuff in the past, I can see how it might "pack" a bit better and be more stable than loose sand, but I've never used it in this application. Thanks.
What about using the area 419 gun plate and you're not juggling around too many bags?
Good info love your stuff from australia 👍
when do all your new rifles arrive so we can start seeing them in action?
Very very soon!
Hell yes! Waiting for that too 👍
Hi Piet. Ons your website, which filling is Light and which is Heavy?
You really use kinetic sand? Just got a schmedium and might switch up the fill and give it a shot.
Bugger they're sold out. Can I get 3 empty sent to New Zealand? when they're back in stock
Do you pack the shmedium while hunting or do you switch to the pint size for less weight
Verdomme.. Now I have to move to SA, because the NL doest allow shootinglike this..
you are so cool, I drool
Good information👌
If you don’t have the arca rail... can you get an attachment thru m lol? I like the acc chassis but too pricey for me right now. I like the flat bottom for bag riding.
Area 419 has you covered.
What bag is that
I came here for content and got extremely loud music!
Turn your volume down slightly if its to loud.
Fear man with no bag.
Damn, your camera has a helse dynamic range.
ok dankie piet
Great video but I want to know how to start shooting PRS in 17 yr old in South Africa?
Have a dad with deep pockets lol
Good stuff
What muzzle break are you using?
Whoop whoop!
Is ammo hard to come by or really expensive in your part of the world? Cause its ridiculously crazy right now here in the USA
Its bout double of what it cost normally in the usa. But now usa shelves are empty. Even reloading stuff.
@@willemjordaan9789 im currently paying on average 2.00 american per 6.5 creedmoor and thats for 140gr
@@Skidz1818 its crazy. I am currently still in the usa, working here, was looking for ammo for my 204. Its tough to find and a doller plus a piece.
Back home i reload. Only way for me as my 260 is bout 3$ a piece for factory ammo.
Cant find any powder or factory ammo at the monment for 6.5 in cape town. Factory ammo is about $3,60 a round and then its not berger ammo. Its the bad stuff you dont shoot pas 300 yards
@@johanswart8116 safarioutdoor got ammo for less than 3$ each.
R700 en dan ave R900 vir 20.
What caliber is this rifle?
what size game changer is your fav. bag?
Shmedium is the best all around size.
Sick
Some one on your team needs to review audio mastering techniques because your shit is hella loud.
Fear the man that doesn't need to carry around a sand bag.
👍
What do you use to write on your mags?
Paint based pen I got at PNA
@@IMPACTSHOOTING Do you use water or oil based paint based pens?
Smedium? Is that a real word? Sounds made up. Always good stuff, but no birds? seemed weird without them interrupting you. LOL - Happy New Year
It's shmedium. Yes, it's an actual size you can buy.
Lol firstly i didnt see the '.'
