Visiting Aix-en-Provence in September and your videos are very inspiring and have helped us in our itinerary for our visit. Your cafe’s and restaurant reviews are very helpful too. Merci beaucoup, for your sweet insights. ❤🇫🇷

I spent a hot, Sunday afternoon in Aix, mid June. I was staying in Marseille, and planned to go to Grasse, but my French nephew wanted to show me his university. I couldn’t pass up that experience. He’s now finishing in Marseille, since the university has expanded. Most of the shops were closed, but we had a nice lunch and I bought soap for myself, and colognes for my nephews in Panier des Sens. It was a nice, bougie getaway from Marseille. Hehe! It’s a beautiful city.

Glad you got to visit Aix and see the beautiful city yourself ☺️ Sundays and Mondays here are definitely quieter, it’s when things are closed but you can still find quite a few things that are open.

Nice and refreshing video of the summer in Aix. Tip for the sirop de menthe: you need to put more until the water turns green 😋

I think it would be too strong for me if I put more 😂 it’s definitely a favorite here, always see people drinking it on the terraces.

I always love your vlogs Sam! Always so nicely shot and edited. Like you, I also tell myself I always film the same things… but I guess our subscribers and viewers like our channel because of the videos we make, so they enjoy that content even if it feels repetitive to us.
And again, I am so jealous of the many vegan places you find!
Oooh Fragonard, one of the three big perfume makers of Grasse! And ooooh the kitty!!! 😍
    Thanks for this video!

Thank you Marloes, I guess you’re right because I adore all your videos and seeing the French countryside as it’s so relaxing and never feel like it’s the same. So grateful to have some vegan spots here, hopefully more will come to your area.

I have a feeling that many Americans are familiar with that area because of the movie A Good Year. I believe it was shot in Gordes.

I’ve done a couple of videos in Gordes, it’s a very popular area. I even got to see it in 2020 when it was completely empty and no tourists. Also love that movie!

Your vlogs have such nice pacing. Not too rushed, not over the top. Interesting music. More little shots of pets out and about, birds and things, would be fun to see (says the animal lover🙂).

A beautiful video thank you. I'm going between June and August with my golden retriever. Can't wait. Would you mind telling me what that beautiful song was I tried to write down the lyrics on google it but I couldn't find it. It seemed to say in the middle am I one of those crazy people should I stay here or should I let go thank you

Hi David, I love that you’re bringing your pup with you. Lots of doggies in Aix 😍 so he or she will fit right in. The song is by Kylie Dailey "The Middle" I use a lot of her songs in my videos, I love her voice.

I imagine some used book stores might not necessarily cater to English speaking consumers but I do love used books. Especially those with notes. Almost like a pen pal!? One of these days we should put one together for us to stay connected ...so you're only far away by miles but not in spirit!

Oh, you’re reading Mieko Kawakami’s “Breast and Eggs”. The Japanese original title is “夏物語” (Natsu Monogatari) which means “A Summer Story” in English.
One more thing, her breaking-through short story’s title is “乳の卵” (Chichi to Ran) which means “Breast and Eggs” in
English. (^_^) So, I guess she wrote that long novel based on her breaking-through short story, which made her famous and popular in Japan.

I heard that the price of orange juice is increasing because of bad crops in orange orchards in Florida. So maybe people will fall back on syrup which is much cheaper. 🙂
