    Ok, so I've spent the past 2 hours watching other popular RUclips videos about logo designs techniques and this one contained the least obvious and most mind-blowing techniques. Wow. This is going to be incredibly useful. I'm inspired. Thank you.

    Thanks for the info! Your bonsai tree should most definitely be outside on a normal day to day. It is a tree, after all. It's got nice movement in the trunk but until it gets proper sun and nutrients, those limbs wont thicken up anytime soon. Thanks again for the smart design tips! Always good with the reminders and updating this old dog.

      It normally is outside. A lot of people think the Chinese Elm is indoors, but as you said it isn't. I I had only just got this one during this video, and so the shape and everything needed work. I grew it out and then did a lot of pruning since this video. It was a purchase from Amazon lol. Thanks for the comment

      @@SatoriGraphics ah so nice! I have a Chinese elm as well, gifted by a friend who found it growing next to his sidewalk. Mines about the size of a Petri dish though with some great ramification from getting hit with a lawnmower a bunch of times. I’ve also gathered a bunch of elm seedlings from my yard this year that I’ve twisted up. Elm are so hardy!

    Hey Tom,
    So I wanted to ask you something that when working on projects, how do I keep these rules and principles of logo designing in my mind. I know it's a bit different thing to ask, and it's completely off-topic, but sometimes I forget some principles. Now, I do know that I don't have to be a complete nerd to remember every single thing like it's my exam, but just generally. Sometimes I forget some very basic rules and after finishing the logo process and then after that I realize, ohh it's not very legible and stuff like this. I’m sure you could relate too as a graphic designer or anyone out there. So, could you tell me an efficient way to remember some logo designing rules?

    • @SatoriGraphics
      @SatoriGraphics  Год назад +8

      Practice and experience. The longer you familiarise yourself with something, the more it becomes second nature and you do it without thinking. Like driving a car, initially you are a bit uncomfortable and make lots of mistakes, but after a while you can drive without even thinking about it.
      Maybe you can write some of the principles on sticky notes and put them around your computer and work space

  • @tulp_graphics
    @tulp_graphics Год назад +3

    Great tips, thank you! I think ING also chose the lion because it's a symbol in our national weapon. And the fact that it's in our national colour orange (from Willem of Orange), also makes it feel like that bank is for all of us, even though it's not our national bank. So it's pretty well-chosen.
    That's why we call our national women's football team 'The Orange Lionesses' by the way. 😄🍊🦁

    The most powerful "logos", really should be called signs, are NOT illustrative. The power, popularity, products, and services the company provides are more effective the sign itself. A logo could be anything. Small companies need a very "illustrative" form of the logo because they cannot afford good marketing and advertising. Try to design an intangible service company logo : )
    It is easy, and simplistic to demonstrate popular and successful: logos", of well-established companies. They were created in a totally different market environment and world.
