To be Frank I don't see this interaction as romantic at all or an acknowledgement of still-present feelings whatsoever. I see this as Yasmin and Rob having a very open and honest conversation about the events of S1, Rob being healthy and very bluntly admitting his prior, genuine feelings for Yasmin and how her dragging him through the mud for the sake of her own gain honestly affected him, and then a very straightforward rejection of her advances. Rob is already emotionally burnt out and dealing with his own shit on top of the revelation that his best friend who fancies him is also a drug addict with depression. He does not need the added toxicity bomb that is Yasmin stepping into his life any further than she's already tried and I'm really glad that he recognized this too and promptly showed her the door.
The show's overarching theme is addiction-- not just chemical but also the thrills of power and money in finance and politics. Calling Yaz, and her sadist-lite treatment of him, an "intoxicant" was a very honest way of aligning her with Rob's previous addiction to cocaine-- which he sees Yazmin dealing with in that very scene. Rob gravitates toward people who treat him like shit, he's naturally a sub-- which is why he suffers so much in realizing that he is repeating the cycle with Nicole.
They have an on off thing. Like a crutch when she's lonely. Or bored..uses him. He's weak to her. Daddy's girl type who shows a deeper side this series. Her dad was well bent. Reminded me of the recent yacht accident in sicily
@@harper07harper I thought you meant metaphorically, as in Yasmin's the drug or something As for him being actually sober... Nope, he's heading a psychedelics company now
We see enough this season to know they both had parents who made it hard for them to be vulnerable or express love. So they're brilliant at seduction and shit at relationships.
How is she awesome? She's entitled and sheltered and doesn't even realize that everything she got is thanks to her Dad, the second he pulls his support from her she has nothing.
I'm reminded of kate andrews with her. And robert, chris philp. Badenoch Harper and Kk with gus the black Eton thing. New guy weird like a starmer inheriting family stuff but with lefty righty ideology.
This scene made me watch the series. I was expecting just a corpo satire on steroids but it seems to have dramatic chops and killer music and acting from this clip alone
I feel like everything in this show is created around the sexual tension between the characters. The new season is just the same. The other power-play and scheming and trading et cetera is all secondary.
that is no different than watching a movie and skipping straight to the action parts. You’re missing out on incredible character work and the building blocks of these characters and their arcs. You’re depriving yourself of greater television with that.
I am from the old school, where it is the male who will initiate the first move,I know that we are in the 21st century, where women and girls are very foward thinking and nothing is wrong with that, except,in allowing the men that one activity.I also know, the majority of the male species are dependent for ALMOST everything. The men have their duties in certain jobs, where women cannot participate. There is a purpose for men and women.I am just stating a few thoughts, not preaching.
I liked this interaction between the two. It was like they came to a mutual understanding. Am I the only one alone in hoping that Harper and Robert are end game ? 🫣. I just need her to find better coping mechanisms instead of the addiction. I felt season one she was good for him in the sense she called him out on his addiction. I know he cares for her and wants to be there for her but they are both just not mentally right.
The music in this show man... Just outstanding
What's the name of the song I couldn't find it
@aminebenabbas3593 Bicep - Apricots

@@melvinjoseph952 Well he had a legit problem with cocaine and drinking? I remember he wa sober in the season before?
They need to get together in s3 and have a "normal" relationship. They both deserved it.
That's gonna happen in season 3 atleast for a while definitely
Tbh I thought rob was gonna get with the new cast and Yasmin understudy - Venetia

Massive W to get a Bicep song in this scene
Holy shit, Yasmin's dad wants her "to be perennially 12 years old" hits so much harder after the S3 finale 😨
Yes shocker. He was a pest. Relevant to right now. And Henry don't suit her is she using him for what he's got?
Yasmin for win!!! Really been enjoying her this season
She’s awesome 👏

The character is a train wreck! Absolute props to the actress though!
Bicep just makes this scene so much more... interesting.
Yasmin is outstanding in this scene with slow music turning on but rob is a bit stubborn not much expressive !!!
Happy 100th birthday BBC
I’m gay but god, Yasmin is sooo seductive
She isn't even that pretty. But put together, she's outstanding.
