There is another story about what happened to The Old Man in a separate When Day Breaks take on it occurred...it shows him as a competent sort of angel, bringing a merciful death to humans who find him (any unmelted human, that is) which is far more peaceful to them than the horrors of the sunlight. The sunlight does indeed try to force its way into his domain, and he's powerful enough to _kick its ass out._ Remember, the sunlight even reanimated corpses, and he wanted the dead left to rest. There was some old woman SCP in there who came and went, and over time, she actually got him to speak for the first time in years.
Im pretty sure the old woman was implied to be the caretaker of the library of alexandria, which held books containing the story of every human on earth.

Too bad for those survivors, 106 didn't do it's random havoc on the foundation during the first day of When Day Breaks. Honestly I'm amaze it took a month for 106 to decide to break out. I would think he got excited and break out during the first day when everyone was in a panic. After all if there's one thing 106 loves as much as hearing others pain its fear and I'm sure there was plenty of both during the first few days of 'When Day Breaks'. Even with it's intellect 106 can't help but be drawn to those in age range in fear and panic.

Always lovely to see another tale in the When Day Breaks canon! That said, the ending for this one felt a bit unsatisfying without a conclusion, at least imo.
I just love how different SCPs, such as the Day Break scenario, can create infinite possibilities when combined with other SCP's. With a sort of multiverse being canon, I look forward to more scenarios to come.
One thing that could make these day breaks videos better is if they included the fact that plants are also affected by the sunx that’s why many interpretations of this 001 are devoid of plant life.

The only way to permanently kill him is by killing his true form, a feat that only O’Death and the peanut can accomplish thus far. Peanut in his true form killed 682’s whole race and O’Death is literally the embodiment of death itself and has probably killed multiple universes and 682s.

In the original files of what scp 106 does during day break is actually quite beautiful. I recommend watching videos on it as the story is not only surprising but a small bit of light in an otherwise dark story of daybreak

Can I just say how OP some SCP's are? Like, its the same thing every time, super dangerous SCP, everyone is scared, it escapes, nobody can kill it because it has biiiiiiig super powers and cannot die, kills 200+ people and then gets put back in containment. Its why I adore the plague doctor, he is dangerous, but cooperative, and not too OP, like 682 or 106.
The Doctor is one of the strongest in the series. Immortal, basically invulnerable to all damage (thats doable by humans). Kills with just a touch. Extreme speed, endless supply of medical equipment, including strains of diseases (one story mentioned using Anthrax against a populace just to see).
There is one where the old man, alongside a divine being, provide sanctuary for any and all survivors. Dont remember what channel, but damn it was good
I remember that one, it is literally preferable to endure the eternal tormenting of 106 to the corrupted sun, which strips you of everything, your mind your body, your soul. when it's light touches you you are a servant of the corrupted light. Nothing more.

Probably... Considering it worked against the zombie plague... Time to go to the replicator and make a few of those ambient healing devices using the Panacea... Now I know being overexposed causes a preditor like mutation caused by overoptimization (like getting to 150% health in a videogame, but with amped-up aggression and senses), however, it might end up working like a tug of war, wearing the device in the sunlight, one corrupting the other immediately healing causing a stalemate... Maybe that would be a way to be able to walk in daylight without melting?
@@posthumanistpotato Well the thing is, it's not like an infection, the sun warps them into monsters due to its power and even nullifies some anomalies powers to do anything to resist it. Not to mention, most of them are amalgamations of multiple people, so how would that work? You would either have to cure one and risk that person being consumed or cure all of them and then have multiple merged humans. And as long as there is sunlight, even if they can be cured, they will just revert back.

For those keeping up on the stories of "When Day breaks " and connected crossovers we know while unwise of the old man to kill off these humans it isn't doom for him yet because there is one last standing outpost of the Foundation still standing with normal humans but if he kills them off before other aliens do he will either have to travel to other Earths or different planes of existence otherwise there is only end for him an eternity of Madness, Guilt, and self hate to face and keep him company for all eternity.......
We know the old man deserves a pretty dark ending but for his sake lets keep a sliver of hope for his soul because this is the SCP foundation universe and there is a chance that the old man has become possessed by a dark entity in that pocket world of his. It would make a epic ending to the old man for him to be defeated with a new device discovered that frees humans from possession from reality benders . Scp 106 It was originally a man who saw the very worst things that humanity could do during World War I And he wanted to escape it and have the power to prevent it at any cost. This cost however came at his sanity. He's got the Anomalous ability in fact to take people to a realm safe from the world that is we know it, where death is not constant unless wished for the only thing that is consistent there is existence in a malaise of stillness. He is technically the only thing that can Defeat the day the sun breaks. If only He is capable of learning to turn his domain Into the bastion. His dimension is what becomes known as unlondon. When the sun itself tried to break into its realm he specifically hit it so hard it screaming in fear swore to never return.

Able wouldn't die, so he wouldn't regenerate. Cain should reflect the damage, though some claim WDB neutralizes the anomalous abilities of organic beings. I don't buy that for all beings, some would counteract the sun. Like 106, as a being of darkness he might well be immune. And 682 would just adapt.
there are scps that found a new change in perspective after free from the scp foundation to find themselves in a wasteland, and then we have folks like the old man who just went "meh" and continued to terrorize anybody they come across as they did before.

Now I know being overexposed causes a preditor like mutation caused by overoptimization (like getting to 150% health in a videogame, but with amped-up aggression and senses), however, it might end up working like a tug of war, wearing the device in the sunlight, one corrupting the other immediately healing causing a stalemate... Maybe that would be a way to be able to walk in daylight without melting?

@@posthumanistpotato Well the thing is, it's not like an infection, the sun warps them into monsters due to its power and even nullifies some anomalies powers to do anything to resist it. Not to mention, most of them are amalgamations of multiple people, so how would that work? You would either have to cure one and risk that person being consumed or cure all of them and then have multiple merged humans. And as long as there is sunlight, even if they can be cured, they will just revert back.

For those keeping up on the stories of "When Day breaks " and connected crossovers we know while unwise of the old man to kill off these humans it isn't doom for him yet because there is one last standing outpost of the Foundation still standing with normal humans but if he kills them off before other aliens do he will either have to travel to other Earths or different planes of existence otherwise there is only end for him an eternity of Madness, Guilt, and self hate to face and keep him company for all eternity.......
We know the old man deserves a pretty dark ending but for his sake lets keep a sliver of hope for his soul because this is the SCP foundation universe and there is a chance that the old man has become possessed by a dark entity in that pocket world of his. It would make a epic ending to the old man for him to be defeated with a new device discovered that frees humans from possession from reality benders . I can see it now he gets hit with the multi colored beam that slowly returns him back to normal only for the real individual to start screaming hysterically that he couldn't stop the demon from killing all those people torturing them forever!!!! He 's yelling he cannot live with the guilt having to watch as the creatures did untolfd evil endless times. Last remaining O 5 council member decides to grant him a small kindness by giving him a a brain wipe anestitinuvc

Cain watching whatever it is reduce itself into flesh from hitting his body. Able constantly resurrecting trying to figure out why the hell it's so bright outside.
Cain would feel him melting, but he wouldn't be actually melting.
Able wouldn't die, so he wouldn't regenerate. Cain should reflect the damage, though some claim WDB neutralizes the anomalous abilities of organic beings. I don't buy that for all beings, some would counteract the sun. Like 106, as a being of darkness he might well be immune. And 682 would just adapt.

Everyone making theories about 106 not being affected by the sun but this is how I see it, he likes suffering, the blobs outside suffer beyond comprehension, if he get a eye on one of them he'd go outside to follow the creature for fun cause it's suffering, so you can get him out of the facility and then let one of those things lead him away, like, for him it's literally a deal he can't not accept, he wants suffering the entire idea of one of those monsters is suffering so it's a win win for everyone.
