I ain’t gonna lie. I just got this same exact model but in black (2022). I love it. Has plenty of pickup compared to my wife’s 2021 grand touring. The sound system is amazing (Bose). The car looks amazing in person. Handles great. I was between this and Ford Explorer. Glad I made the right decision. Don’t regret it.
Jet Black Mica is a stunningly beautiful color in direct sunlight. The metallic flakes in the paint really show the muscular lines on the CX-5. If you have any questions on your CX-5, let me know. I'd be more than happy to assist you.
Why do you start out by saying, “Ain’t gonna lie?” Do you think we will all accuse you of not really getting a new Mazda? I don’t get it. You do strike me as more of a Benz guy tho. I can’t lie.
I own a 2021 CX-5 with AWD, and it's been an excellent car since I purchased it six months ago. I prefer a darker color for exterior paint, but this is a solid car all the way around.
Jim Powell speaking. I own a 2019 cx-5 signature model which comes with a turbo. This crossover is quite a vehicle, from the all leather front seats to all the other luxury items. The turbo is really fun to drive. Plenty of power to pass whether it be in town or on the highway. The 2019 is the same as the 2022 except for some minor changes in the body and a few changes on the inside. I have a 2014 Mazda3 sport which has about 85,000 miles on it and has had no problems. In my view if you want a vehicle that is fun to drive, reliable and looks good, buy a Mazda.
Thank you for uploading your video. I'm thinking of buying the 2022 Mazda CX-5 2.5 Turbo. What is the actual MPG city/highway/combined that I can expect with the turbo engine?
When do you guys get the CX-50? My wife love her 2021 CX-30 Select Soul Red Metallic and we got it from you at Mazda of Orange. Thanks for helping us getting the CX-30.
We should be getting some CX-50's hopefully by Summer time. We will be having a CX-50 on display for a day sometime in March. If you would like me to notify you once I get the exact date, please give me a call or email me. My contact information is in the description of the video. Thank you!
When phone plug in for Apple CarPlay, does it not charge the phone as well, it seems wireless charging option kinda defeats the purpose since you must plug the phone in for Apple CarPlay to work?
I bought a tiguan SE a few weeks ago. I love it, but the performance on the highway isn't all that. It's slow on the highway but fast in the city. Based on what I've been reviewing, the CX-5 seems to have the same mpg but better performance. The Tiguan is super nice and does have a small 3rd row, mostly for toddlers or dogs. Knowing what I know now, I'd probably go with the CX-5 if i could do it all over. Or the Honda CRV
Still no usb c & backup trajectory. Why? Edit Also the gloss black needs to be taken care of carefully especially when washing it since my B pillar on a 2021 is also glossy and after a few washes it has many micro scratches.
The windshield Active Driving Display (HUD) is available on the following 2022 Mazda CX-5's; 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 Turbo and 2.5 Turbo Signature. The 2.5 S Premium is naturally aspirated and the starting price is $33,950.
The signature gets; genuine wood trim, black cloth headliner, SiriusXM 3 year subscription with live traffic, weather, fuel prices, Mazda Navigation, Traffic Sign Recognition, 360 surround view camera, driver attention alert, smart city reverse braking, traffic jam assist, and body colored side fenders.
@@AlexsCarReviews Thanks...I have a '18 signature mazda 6 and i think the seats in the '22 CX5 are softer and imo they seem cheaper, not that i think they are cheap seats just cheaper than in my signature 6....I probably will buy the 22 CX5 but really difficult to give up the mazda 6, imo a much better ride than the CX5....I just need a AWD.
I've enjoyed the CX-5 as a rental car a few times - drives decent for an SUV, interior is pretty nice for a non-luxury car, and I like the infotainment. But the engine/transmission combination on the base engine really gives it away that this is a relatively cheap vehicle. I've often wondered if stepping up to the turbo fixes the issue.
I know exactly what you're talking about. The Skyactiv-G 2.5 non turbo engine has enough power for most people however, the 2.5 Turbo engine takes care of any lag issues you may have experienced with the CX-5 rental car. The 2022's interior gives the CX-5 a premium feeling with the leather, contrasting stitching, and soft touch materials throughout the interior. I highly recommend driving a CX-5 with the 2.5 Turbo engine. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Not at all. From what I've seen, the main demographic for the Mazda CX-5 don't care to pop the hood. They are more focused on safety and interior space.
When will they ever make those seats comfortable, just bought one and the seats are just as uncomfortable and firm like my wife’s 2016. Everything else is perfect.
Just a exterior refresh I'd say. Mazda needs to re-design the CX5 line, and used that profit to tank the re-design of other CX models. CX5 number one selling mazda car, mazda should remember that formula.
Suggestion... next time you feature a vehicle for RUclips, where 40,000+ people will look at it, try detailing it first. This car is not ready for prime time.
Good point. This particular CX-5 Turbo was filmed right after our dealership just received it from port which explains the dust and or dirt. The CX-5 Turbo in this video was spoken for. Once I was done making this video, the car was sent to detail and delivered to the clients home.
Mazda recommend premium fuel for the turbo model to get the maximum horsepower in fuel efficiency out of the Engine That’s going to hurt the current owners at the pump thanks to lethargic Joe.

How do you compare this with Explorer, they are 2 size classes apart- Escape, Edge, Explorer?

The black-and-white 🥰🥰🥰🥰😎
Alex I just bought that car yesterday😁😁😁😎😎😎
The black wheel arches make this thing look pretty capable in regards to ground clearance. I wonder how much taller the cx-50 will be.
Man wish the signature came in 2 tone on the outside with the red leather interior but instead they stick with the cantura brown for all sigs.

It’s exciting that the new model is rolling off assembly lines and getting ready to be shipped to dealers

Are the front and rear parking sensors only available on the top trim?
I like the 3-stage heated seats in Back
The prop rod wasn’t necessary. Mazda should’ve spiced it up and put hydraulic hood struts on em instead.
Can you get the signature model with the black accents and whatnot?

Wonder if those tailpipes which looks bigger fits a 2021?
Excellent SUV. But have they solved the problem with the folding mirrors?
From what I've seen, yes.
What was the problem with the folding mirrors?
@@fdesa03 The mechanism usually brokes in several months. Many owners have changed it several times.
@@attorneyBG ok thanks. My 2021 GT Turbo is only 4 days old, I'm new to Mazda's. I hope they solved the problem for the 2021 model years😟👍
Can’t decide if spending 4-5grand more for the turbo is worth it ?
If you're not sure, then the turbo variant is not for you. Don't spend extra on it

How is the Bose sound system in this?

My pleasure. The 2.5 Turbo trim unfortunately does not come with Stop Sign recognition.
