I love my ESG-102Bs. Have a set in a 1980 Greco SG. They have the sweetest high end! Bright, but not at all strident. Clear and chimey, but rock through a cranked Marshall. So happy to see a new episode!
I bought a set of ESG-102's for my 61 SG reissue. I was surprised by the chimey, "airy" sound at first. But as I dialed them in, I grew to love the sound. Much improved over the stock PU. Highly recommended
Both sound great. I don't know which ones I'd prefer in an I-35. I thought for sure I'd want the ESG 102Bs, but then I heard the ER custom set in that 335. Very tough decision.
I’m playing through a Deluxe Reverb with a Marshall Bluesbreaker Reissue pedal. I use grey 1.00mm Cool picks. They have a grip texture sort of like a Herco pick but they are a little softer than Herco picks. The Cool picks develop a little “tooth” with playing that sort of grabs the string in a good way.
I have a Gibsin 57 anniv. with your KZ115 MXV A2 pu's set and I love the sound and especially the dynamics. I'm thinking of buying some 64 MXV STRAT SET - MAXIMUM VINTAGE HOT BRIDGE for my custom shop strat. Can I expect the same dynamics? I'm a professional blues guitarist. Best Regards
