Len Beadell wrote 6 books from 1965 ‘Too Long in the Bush’ to 1983 which covers the exciting adventures of building all his roads . He was the last great explorer and his stories about his crew ‘Gunbarrel Highway Construction Company’ are wonderful. Australian collections history.
I had the same problem with a Brown Davis tank on the Gibb several years ago. I contacted them and sent me a new tank. But I had to pay the freight to Darwin. I've got another BD tank on my BT50 now for 10 years. Been fine so far.. Contact BD and get it replaced under warranty. The fact people see this problem in your videos isn't good PR.
Good vid mate. ASPW had the same suspension issue with his leaf pack. It is a easy fix no worries at all. Outback is my favourite place on earth. It does some magic things that words can not explain. Great vid mate as always
I had a Brown Davies tank. Never again. The ARB Frontier is a 100times better. I had the whole weight of the car sitting on the ARB tank on rocks and not one leak. The tank is so flexible. Never will I buy a Brown Davies fuel tank.
Ive got a" Long Ranger "127 litre tank on my pk ranger. It is dented, scratched and somewhat abused. It has never let me down over 12 years. Im very sorry for your issues.Grant
Thank you for showing us another remote and beautiful route that we didn't know of. I love all the scenes in this video. You guys make me miss travelling so much. Why the video length is too short? Lol ❤
I would LOVE to see a cinematic and photographic production by you guys from the East and West Macs!! Definitely one of my most favourite landscapes in all Aus 😍!
This is another bucketlist trip, maybe going the opposite way first though. I see Len's grandson has the adventurous spirit n was at the SA 4WD show, would be an interesting trip with him
Great track to do from WA to Alice - very tame but that’s what you need sometimes. As for indigenous art it actually has been huge with art collectors for 40 years + and everyone knows Albert Namatjira for his famed works internationally. Now so many tourist art shops selling dot paintings worth whatever the tourist is willing to pay for a piece of art produced by locals .. Keep the economy going I say and if you like it but it .. Shame about the B & D tank .. warranty replacement or a re weld once home.
Pretty annoying and very disappointing with the fuel tank...alone this is something you would not like to happen...my LR ARB has never let me down in remote country

Great video guys. Will you be looking for an alternative to the Brown Davis tank after the multiple failures now?
How good is Brown Davis. Bit disappointing for you guys. Great ep as per usual 👍🏽
Yeah pretty frustrating
Certainly not looking good for Brown Davis...
They have had these issues for years, I personally would never touch them.
You probably wasted 10c each can when you crushed them.
noice.. one day...

Glad we got ours changed over to LR
These new landcruisers seemed to be falling apart these days ... dont make them loke they used to
I have a HJ47 and a new 78 and I can confidently tell you which one falls apart more 😂
@@OverlandTravellers I guess it doesn't matter ... just run to mummy and daddy to by you a new one
