I absolutely love that this isn’t another sweet amber vanilla fragrance. I love those scents but I already have so many which would have made this a redundant purchase. However, I didn’t have a woody amber like this which is what made me pick up a bottle
I was so relieved to smell this and find out it’s not syrupy sweet like all the other elixirs lately. The heavy incense makes it very un-designer like. Also, when it dries down it is absolutely an Annick Menardo creation. It has her trademark resins and almost reminds me of Bois d’Argent.
Having only smelled and owned Boss Bottled Oud from the Bottled line, I thought this would smell along those lines seeing that it's a flanker. I smelled it at Macy's and was pleasantly surprised. The sales associate didn't like it but I loved it. I returned a week later and purchased a bottle.
I tested it yesterday and was very impressed! It's an outstanding cold weather scent though it's a bit heavy on what I would describe as a burnt pine cones olfactory sensation from the top through the mids. As you said a little vanilla added would've made it even better and would've tamed the burnt woods scent I was getting. Though the burnt woods ease on the dry down it still needs a bit of sweetness to make it perfect. Overall, a great scent..
I sprayed on Tom Ford for men extreme one day. Later that day I came across this new Boss bottled elixer and sprayed it on. I thought that the performance was really poor, because all I could smell is the Tom Ford fragrance. It turns out there is nothing wrong with the performance. This fragrance just happens to smell a lot like the Tom Ford fragrance. It's just a little spicier and stronger
Boss Bottled Parfum is great too me, I'm on my second bottle. Why was it disappointing to you? I get compliments and I've never received any negative feedback on it
I love Boss Bottled Parfum too. Dark spicy woody, niche quality fragrance, cozy & last forever. On my 2nd bottle that how much I like it. I love this Boss Bottled Elixir version also
What a coincidence, I've tested it today at my nearest Sephora. I was surprised as the opening to me was similar to Bottega Veneta Pour Homme, a frag that I love. Sadly the dry down was a bland amber scent, no incense, no patch, no labdanum... Pass for me, it's uninspiring overall. Out of all Elixirs tested, Sauvage Elixir is the best - got a bottle (have to mention I dislike the EDT, EDP and Parfum), while the JPG one is also good, but too syrupy for my taste. Got to try the Gucci one. Cheers!

Smells a lot like Lataffa’s Eternal Oud.. but without the plum. Kinda meh and redundant to many many others out there. It’s a pass for me and my journey. If your going to buy wait till it’s heavily discounted ..
It seems like I'm either disappointed with, or mad at 99% of designer releases these days. 😄 This one did not have that reaction. Which is saying something! I...guess? 😂 Sniffed it next to Le Male Elixir and it was the clear winner for me. Still a woody amber in the drydown, but nowhere near as annoying. But why not combine the incense with something like Bottled edp Intense right? Could've been a great flanker.
I think it smells really good, but it smells nothing like the edt. If you like the spice from the edt, it’s definitely disappointing. It’s a lot more sweet and fruity.

The Parfum version is really good. it's different on paper than on skin. Wearing it the smell is more rounded and creamy and very longlasting
The lighting on the picture with the Boss Bottle lit up looks impressive.

I think its a cracking scent, i bought a sample, tried it and ordered a bottle 2 hrs later, chuffed to find this one and its very strong too.
