- In this video we visit Bullaburra, a small station on New South Wales' Main Western Line in the Blue Mountains. The station is served by NSW Trainlink Blue Mountains Line services and we see some trains during the morning peak filmed between 6:20am - 7:50am. The majority of trains we see are the NSW Trainlink V Sets but we also see an Endeavour DMU on the Bathurst Bullet service heading towards Sydney.
Bullaburra is an Aboriginal word for blue skies and was the last town to be developed in the Blue Mountains. While the railway opened in 1867 the station didn't open until the 16th February 1925 when the area around the station was subdivided. It was fully paid for by the developer of the area Arthur Rickard & Co. The station has two brick buildings, one having been built in 1924 and the other having been built in 1957. Apart from that the station hasn't changed much over the years apart from some minor works. The footbridge offers some great views of Mount Hay and Mount Banks too.

I find it interesting how the blue mountains line seems to be pretty much served by v sets exclusively
I love the shape of the platform! Great video mate
Thanks! The unique topography of the Blue Mountains certainly lends itself to some interesting stations.
Definitely!@@ThebusofdoomFSX
Bullaburra is one of only 6 stations between Lapstone and Lithgow that can fit 8V in both the up and down directions.
I swear this man is going to film at every train station in Australia someday 😂
Bro be travelling to every corner of Australia
Ha, it certainly seems like it at the rate I'm going.
Do you know when the DJM cars first entered service?
Sydney trains are pretty impressive, makes Melbourne trains look like tonka toys 😢
Ok
