Nike Air Jordan 36 Review - The jordan 36 is the newest member of the jordan line but is it all just the jordan name or they actually a decent basketball shoe that lives up the heritage of the jordan name. I bought a pair to cut in half to see what's inside and to put them to the test to see if the jordan 36 is the best basketball sneaker.

And I own quite a few. Lol but they are so simplistic in their design I feel like. Would love to see what makes them one of my favorite shoes to wear to work. 👍🏼

If it hasn’t already been mentioned in the comments, the 36s take design inspiration from the 6s. Each Jordan starting with the 31s has taken design inspirations from that shoe’s 30 year younger sibling.

it would be interesting to see the bounce test with a pierced air unit to see how much the pressure of the air unit contributes to the rebound. especially with the units that have very little pressure in them compared to a unit like the 36's

If you want technology and a shoe that's futuristic, go back to the Jordan 33. It was without laces and had a tightening mechanism in the bottom. There's a thick rubber band strap on top where the laces were supposed to be. You pull the strap and it tightens to your comfort level. The cords that were used to pull were actually the same material as that was used in parachutes. Pulling the strap, you can actually hear the mechanism clicking and see it working on the bottom of the outsole like a clock. Crazy technology.

Once you go zoom you can't go back. I bought full length zoom Air units on ebay and throw them under my insoles. The Jordan super freak, randy moss signature shoe, has a full length zoom unit in the insole. Nike SBs only have the heel zoom. Jordan released a zoom version of the Jordan 1 as well. Haven't got a pair yet but have to be comfy.

I feel like the black arch support piece is a big part of what makes this shoe perform so well. It gives a lot more rigidness to the midsole, which i really like when lunging forward. When i got the Giannis 3 for example, i was disappointed than i couldn't play in them because the lack of midsole stiffness made them feel like flipflops.

Can report that i've used the first iteration of the Vessi shoe, and it worked well for at least 2 years, including in NY snow/rain days. The only issue is that after a while the connection between the outsole and the mesh deteriorates so water start to get in from the bottom. Hope the new versions hold for longer.

Really good analysis of the engineering and design that goes into modern sports shoes. Too often they are dismissed as cheap fashion items and while fashion does play its part, the shoe companies invest a lot in research and technology to make better shoes. The understanding of human bio-mechanics has improved significantly over the decades.

You should never stop the Jordan series. There is so many to do. That you can keep it going and start other series as well.

Someday we should get a review of the brand Taft. Specifically their jack boot in Eden, since their ad for that is everywhere

If you're going to do a Jordan July next year I'd really like to see you cover any of the 4s, 5s, 12s or 13s. (Especially curious as to what goes on behind that quilted leather and... ankle marble?)
A comparison between an authentic pair and a high quality replica (Some popular releases indicate legitimacy BECAUSE replicas typically had better quality control) would also be really interesting.

Like this model also only the pertruding air strobel unit at forefoot bottom makes it unstable future ankle roller

I’d like to see you do a series on different lasts that boot makers use. I’ve recently learned a bit about the Munson last and can’t understand why it’s not more widely used. Maybe that’s best left to the Rose Anvil 2 channel though?

I just got the Avia 830 retro. The marketing is that is stitch for stitch the same as in 1989. Even boasting a full grain leather upper. The cup sole tech is pretty cool. But mostly I'm curious to see what you make of the leather. Honestly it feels softer than I remember.

Could you do a comparison of steel toe sneaker type shoes? Skechers, Timberland, Red Wing, etc.

I'm definitely strapped in for the cowboy boot series, I think that's the corner of the boot market that's itching the most for attention from this channel.
