Men and women are both human beings but despite a basic overlap there is one thing that divides them at their core and it goes back to reproduction...
I spoke to a female relative recently, and she told me how lucky we men were when it came to dating. I asked ‘how so?’, and she replied that she had just visited a bar that was a known hook-up place with her friends, and that there were lots and lots of beautiful women but *no men at all*. ‘No men showed up. Not a single one!’ she said. I asked if she had a photo from that night, and lo and behold she had taken a picture of her friends that she could show me. And there in the background several normal 5/10 guys were visible, some of which was even looking their way, they were so invisible to the women that they left the bar without even noticing that they were there.

This is what I started noticing from 16 or so. FF 35 years and among men my age (ie not elderly) and younger, I can only think of 3 who haven't been crushed by their woman, that he's retained his masculinity and leadership. Women I meet test me for this, to see if I'm going to be a guy she can hollow out. They all discover that they can't, so they lose interest very quickly.
It's the same if you work in a female heavy workplace - over time you get to witness just how many openly disrespect their men. You also see the same thing in what women write online about their household arramgements. All of this has removed all my motivation to want to settle down. I know that the only way a man can keep a wife without getting crushed is to treat her like an object ffom day 1 and give her little agency. But we're not allowed to do that. One of the three guys I know has managed to do much of that and get away with it.

We are fundamentally wired differently & no amount of socialization while change that. But what really bothers me is that other young boys are being spoon-fed that same garbage I was, & I'm worried they won't have the same luck I did getting out of it...

1 year is nothing compared to me. I am 5’6.5”, multiple genetic/congenital conditions, and is generally overall unattractive. In middle school I suddenly went from “cute” to “creep” with no stops in-between. The struggle is real.

I don't think the genders are really meant to actually understand each other. Everyone who comes close to actually doing so gets horribly black pilled by it. I think it's because evolution shaped our instincts to be entirely self-centered, and since that's not really conducive to interpersonal relationships, it also sought to mask this reality with the illusion of there being more to it. But the moment you peel back that illusion and see how it really works, all you find is misery.
A man who is loved by his tribe will hunt food for his tribe to eat, he does so not for the praise they give him but the love they shower him with.
A woman who is loved by her tribe is often put into a position of matriarchy over the tribe, she will decide most things for the women in said tribe.
A man who is scorned by his tribe will burn it down to feel its warmth.
A woman who is scorned by her tribe dies alone in obscurity.
We are complete opposites in many ways, men and women. Self-centered isn't the right word you were looking for, naturally most women are innately born with the ability to love/care for their children, they do not spread this same evolutionary trait to their partner. Men however have an innate built sense of "I need to protect the weak" that is inherently non-selfish even if his actual desires are selfish.

I harken way back in human civilization where the groups of men go out in various directions to hunt and gather, while the women stay in the cave to tend to the children and babies, and prep the fire for dinner that hopefully will be coming back with a successful hunt.
They didn't really need to because relations were highly formalized and regulated in traditional society. "Husband does XYZ. Wife does ABC. If either deviates from that they'll bring shame to their family and be shunned by the community." It was easier and better that way imo

If you had asked me that in my 20s up to say 31 I would agree that back then I couldn't understand women on that level, but fast forward to now and it's something I have come to agree with that TFM said long ago and that is that women are not a mystery, they are not mysterious in any shape or form and they sure as heck or not, not an enigma. in my own opinion they are in a lot of ways more simple that us men, but only in that where chaos is. I've seen a short guy who you would confuse for a girl get a good looking girl. That was after he started smoking, drinking, buying cool clothes and going to the gym, not to mention parties. Yeah, from what I can observe, drinking and hookups go hand in hand. I think the high socializing factor of it and the lower inhibition from drugs and alcohol make it easier for guys to get women. Not only does the man feel more confident under the influence, but women are more responsive to advances with substances in their systems. And I know exactly what you mean. Some dudes that I consider to be even worse looking than me are able to get decent-looking women simply because they put on this front of being hood, they have tattoos, and purport a fun party lifestyle. But crafting of a fake persona comes naturally to this type of person because they follow the crowd blindingly and have no real grasp on the reality of things, and I am not trying to bash people. I wish I was under this delusion because being self-aware has brought zero positives to my life. One thing I will say, though, is that dressing nice does make one feel good, even though it won't change things much, if at all. It's important to select a style that you like and not just go on Google and copy the usual collar shirt, tight pants, and boring styles shown. Give it a shot, man. Try to do things for yourself as well.

haha I am not even that bad looking and had my fair share with some women in my past. but for the last 5 years I didnt even have really a chance to hook up with a woman. for over 6 years I didnt even have a genuine hug.
