Pure facts in this video! Thank you for speaking on this topic. Many women don't like to admit to having a competitive or envious spirit because it's a very ugly thing, but so many have it. Typically, it comes from a place of insecurity or trying to please men. This is why it is so hard to build genuine female friendships. That's why I walk alone, I guess. 🤷♀️
Smiling...that is the decision most of us have to make (staying away). And it is so sad because these are trying times and having the support of family and friends help to take the edge off. Unfortunately, most of us have to work to protect ourselves from these individuals - very sad!!! Thanks for reaching out and do stay connected!
@@Midliferises You said it, my lady! I wholeheartedly agree. At a time where we should be connecting, some of us still have to stay away from people for reasons other than what is currently happening in the world! I thank God I have survived this far being alone. It has done nothing but good for me.
Thank you for this. I am a woman in her mid 20s and I work in a male dominated field. I don’t know why, but I feel threatened of the idea that I will have a female coworker one day who might be better than me in what I do or is smarter than me. It’s weird cause I know I am surrounded by people who are a lot smarter than me, but I feel like I’d need to compete if I will work with another woman.
Hi! Thanks for reaching out! Being in competitive mode can happen at any age but is more rampant as we get older. If you think you will be in that mode now, try to exam your feelings to see where these feelings are being generated from. It usually comes from some kind of insecurities. Identity with what is causing it and start to work on building that area so that you can be more comfortable with yourself. I commend you for having self-awareness; that is always positive. Have a great holiday!
Hello there! Yes, this is a problem and hinders us from keeping genuine friends. It’s sad but when you see it happening, just know that you have to walk away. Happy New Year to you and thanks for reaching out!
