Worse thing about this result is Sky & rest of media will drone on about how poor Man Utd were & give little credit to Brentford who deserved it. Man Utd have been in decline for years now, time for reality check as not big club anymore.
But that's because every team is supposed to do their best and hopefully play well - every game. Brentford did that, great, but that's their job. Man Utd are the story because they didn't.

Also, watch the united player warming up on the touch line…he passes the ball to Brentford for a throw in straightaway. Normally you don’t touch it and let your team get back, noticed him do it a few times…like he was saying “going on mate, smash us”. It was just weird. Starting to think TH might not be a manager at all and I wanted him at Tottenham before we got conte🤦🏻♂️😂

Different sport but Leicester Tigers were exactly where Man Utd are 3 years ago. It took a total change in all areas (board, management, recruitment, coaching, squad). Just changing the manager won't do anything.

@@pjduff7577 it all stems from the glazers, the club has declined steadily from the second they took ownership. fergusson already had one of the worlds best teams when the glazers bought utd but could not spend and even had to sell ronaldo. glazers have done nothing but drain the club of cash for 17 years and this is the end result.

@@pjduff7577 utd is the second most profitable football club in the world. the glazers have NEVER put their own money into utd, they have only ever taken the fans money for themselves. Ronaldo wanted to go because utd were weakening and buying no new players, because of the glazers ownership.
Just one other important fact.. Brentford were so fortunate to get Christian Erikson to be instrumental in getting them out of the serous relegation threat
they got themselves into after losing several matches on the bounce. BUT it's great to have an attacking midfielder whom the opposition were scared to tackle .
And Brentford knew that when they played United today. And to compound it . Erik ten Hag made a horrendous mistake by playing Eriksen as a defensive midfielder.
And we saw the result of that for the second Brentford goal. The Brentford attackers were not scared in tackling their former colleague.

You're right, they might have been better under Rangnick seeing that he would have known the players for a longer time which would have allowed him to set up a plan with his coaching staff. The only problem I would have with that are the some of the players seem to have thrown him under the bus, although they did get rid of the cancer who was Paul Pogba.
