Fell in love with Skip and Loafer in the first episode and immediately binge read all the way to the currently available chapter (50). This is such a good series and serialized in a seinen magazine which shows any animanga demographic can have slice of life themes/romance etc. I agree with everything you said. The characters all feel so realistic like kids you would actually know irl, they're all so three dimensional. They seem like one anime cliche but you realize there's more to them under the surface. And seeing such casual but carefully handled trans rep in showing Mitsumi's aunt is trans but not making that the entire point of her character, she's just like any other loving aunt character in anime. She just happens to be trans. I won't go into more detail to avoid spoilers but I hope your video gets more people into the series, Skip and Loafer has been curing my seasonal depression. Me agreeing with your good review of this series aside, I loved your editing. The CJ meme meets JJBA meme had me rolling. I hope more people check out this video and give it the algorithm boost it deserves!
Hearing that you binged the manga and it’s still that good makes me feel so much better, I genuinely love the anime right now and can’t wait, and might even binge the manga myself. Like you explained, from the character depth to the portrayal of mitsumis aunt i fkin LOVE this show and tbh it cured my seasonal depression too😂 Thank u for this amazing comment and hopefully it does inspire more to pick up the show. ❤
@@AntiKash If you do end up reading the manga, trust me whenever I say that even your highest expectations will be blown out of the water with how everyone's story is being handled. Thanks for the amazing video!
At Ep12 and just realize how great the first episode's "Mitsumi falling" seen was. I thought he found this different and cute. But after watching this far I think he was thinking; "She fell. This is unlucky. She can not do this. Should I help?? After all this is not that import... Why is she taking her shoes off? She is running again!? Faster than before!? She won't budge. She will ... She is someone I can follow... and give a meaining to my aimless life. I can follow her! ... She is impressive." At first he was leading to show the way but after she fell, she was leading the way, pulling him to act faster to reach to school. This is Mitsumi effect!
WOW that had to be exactly what that meant. I knew there was some type of symbolism in the scene but couldn’t quite put it together, so glad you did, thank u for this amazing comment
Loved this so far too, I was on such a binge of action packed, shonen/seinen anime that this was amazing to come back down to earth. And it’s not just a “chill” slice of life, it has genuine depth equaled with wholesomness. Love it, great vid as usual, keep it up !
Brooo same, I love my seinen shows so ofc I’ll binge them nonstop but seeing this was so refreshing and equally had me engaged as a shonen or seinen would, as crazy as that sounds. Def a must watch and Ty as always for supporting.
Exactly fam, I’m trying not to read the manga as hard as it is but from what I’ve heard it only gets better. And through the anime so far they’re amazing, extremely based characters with real motivations and every interaction is just as realistic!
@Anti Kash It definitely only gets better. For me it's up there with the likes of horimiya and love is hard for an Otaku. It's very relatable much like the latter of those two. Manga definitely worth a read if you end up not being able to hold out lol
@Anti Kash You should. Love is hard for an Otaku is my favorite slice of life. The fact that it is actually about adults really helps the relatability of it and provides a nice change of pace from all the high school series.

I completely second this. Having read some of the manga I think this can fill the place of a show like horimiya. Mitsumi and Shima are great leads.

@@BarelyTeller sounds amazing, I gotta check out love is hard for an otaku but I did love horimiya so I’m sure I’ll love that as well.
