Because there's no way suddenly everyone started to match naturally. You think some weren't paired, but they all were paired in the end of round 1. Women have to judge men based on character not because they are physically unattractive but because we bring a lot of value and attractiveness in other areas where men can be compared against eachother.
The same can’t be said for women. A large portion of women bring 0 value to a relationship, and are usually just a liability. The one thing a woman is good for is making babies, and they all can do that. So men are stuck with only 2 options, they either wait for a unicorn and accept their fate of never dating, or they dramatically lower their standards to just picking someone that looks “pretty”. Which is basically every girl since men allow women to fake their entire existence with things like makeup, and clothes that exaggerate curves. By the time you get a girl in bed without any of these enhancements they are basically a completely different person.
It didn’t used to be like this, women used to be very valuable. They used to be the backbone of society and social interactions. They also put a lot of effort into doing chores at home and raising children. They were supportive and loyal to their man until death. Hell a lot of women back then even saved theirselves for marriage. You can’t find any of this is most modern women.

Kids with single fathers do better in life than kids that grew up with a single mother, because a father can easily replace the influence of a mother, but single mothers struggle to replace what a father brings. (Btw, this isn’t to say that there aren’t badass single mothers that make it work, my grandmother was a single mother and did a great job, the stats just say that this is rare). Also, women request divorce a lot more frequently than man, and the most damning stat is that Lesbian women are considerably more likely to divorce than gay men. If women can’t even be happy with marrying other women then that says quite a lot about whether women are actually better than men.
Obviously there are a lot of low quality men, just like there are a lot of low quality women (mostly do to a lack of experience and immaturity in a lot of modern men). Its just that at the bare minimum a large portion of men can at least have value as a protector/provider, and most men are very loyal. They don’t cheat nearly as much as women think they do, the ones that cheat are mostly just the top 1% playboys and men that have girlfriends/wives that refuse to satisfy them sexually.
Did he just ask would you rather have a good looking guy who treat you like shit or a broke guy who treats you well? What if both of them are broke? He never said the guy who looked good had money and he never said the broke dude was ugly 12:10
In my opinion, I typically see people who use that phrase based on looks than if they vibe with each other or not. It sucks since people constantly shoot themselves in the foot while killing their confidence when they do that since you can’t let looks fool you. Because the one toxic pair is a perfect example of that. Also, I agree with A&P about the one chick’s stale personality whereas she’s probably the type that doesn’t have to put much effort in anything outside of maintaining their looks. Especially when people like that are usually only have their body to offer in any relationship and nothing else.
