Glad you found this song, it doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. An Anette era song, from Dark Passion Play. It's a history of Egypt from a fantasy perspective. Tuomas' keys were awesome, and Troy adding to that with the EBOW on his guitar.
I really love the groove of this song, and Floor is Floor, enough said. A lot of reactors miss this one, and sad. Lots of great Nightwish out there.

This is an Anette song - which she did great, but Floor just raised it to a higher level - as she does with most of their songs written for the other singers. No comparison between them, but I love what Floor brings to them.
Every time l hear this song l imagine an ancient Egyptian temple shimmering in the heat haze of the desert. Phantoms whispering among the ruins..Tuomas is a master of imagery and sounds. Love it! Lovely to see your smile! Take care!🤗

As with many other Nightwish songs, Floor has made this one her own. Carol, my wife of 41 years, and I had the great joy of traveling from Phoenix to see them perform live at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on May 18, 2022. The show was amazing. Definitely an experience of a lifetime. Thank you for continuing to react to these Nightwish live performances with Floor. Sahara is a masterful 🏜️ desert song, the track has a driving force to it while feeling mysterious! Excellently composed by Tuomas 👌 It seems me difficult to sing pfff...✨ I've been to Egypt🏺with deserts and Camels 🐫 (also sat on it) 😬 so in terms of Style it sounds insane. Thanks Debbie 🌹

Maybe your camera is still adjusting from the climate change, from your move, and prefers being near the beach. You get a little sense of what a US Nightwish show is like here, smaller venue, smaller stage, little pyro if any, but still a killer performance! How do they do that? Talent. Talent and lotsa practice.
It's a great song from the Anette era. Anette ok, Floor outstanding Several things about this: Love the smile on Tuomas' face just before Floor starts. Marco's bass is amazing throughout. In particular, listen to the bass in the instrumental section of the breakdown. And he has superb tone at the top of the bass range just before the rest (pause). The overall sound has a flavour of the middle east, rather like Tutankhamen on the first album (also a couple in the next few albums). Tuomas' uses the suspended pentatonic to get that very typical eastern sound I do go back to some Anette performances of this from time to time too - Lowlands Festival 2008, Gampel Open Air 2008 or Rock Werchter Festival 2008.
