Made it through my first playthrough having started as Balanced (wondering if that's robbing me of some points now that I've respec'd) but moved over to Motivity w/ the wrench and police baton handle. My range was garbage but the damage was very nice. Looking to maximize using your build now: I almost wanted to do Fatal Atk Fable Charger instead of Reduce Stamina Consumption When Dashing. I have been using the Extreme Modification Amulet that does increased dmg for each fable slot you have (full I believe), so I've rarely been using Fable Arts other than the occasional Police handle extra dmg on next hit when boss has huge opening. I think you're right though, the dash reduction is more often than situational fable art stagger into however much that passive refills Fable Arts. I'm sure you're right about capacity not exceeding 59% although I haven't tested quite yet. I was always at 79% with 20 Stamina and did OK. It also makes sense to not have the 2nd weapon or 2nd Legion even though I wish you could. As little as they're typically used, they do look cool.
It's funny 'cause without watching ANY guides this is almost 1:1 exactly like I played my strenght-build so far (@ the exibition right now) - except I chose a different handle after archbichob (BRAMBLE CURVED SWORD HANDLE, altered to B motivity) to jump on enemies from a distance with R2 and deal massive stagger dmg. 😄
Long handles are nice, but hey... Puppet handle is the longest and has Endure on it - immunity to stagger for yourself when you charge you heavy attack. Another option is police baton for +50% attack power and Wrench - this combo is deadly. It's 12k damage when optimized. That's 1/3 of boss hp on NG+3... First playthrough it's 50% :D But hard to execute as you need to know your windows.

Does perfect guard cause stiffness really work? I feel like it does very rarely, like it has some chance stats built in (say causes stiffness 1/5, 1/10 of a time). I wonder that it is worth to spend 3 quartz on a perk that may be used rarely during fights, specially boss fights.
Hey man I have another question. Have you noticed a significant decrease in stamina regen or roll speed if you go over 60%? At the moment I’m not at 25 capacity and want to run the strength amulet, life and patience since I don’t have the fourth yet.
nah, you dont need to level vigor, the recharge rate stays the same no matter how much stamina you have.... level vitality more so you can pop two potions at once you'll live longer,
How is it even possible to get enough quartz to unlock perfect guard stiffness before the black rabbit brotherhood fight. I am already there and havent even unlocked phase 2 yet
Motivity is probably the hardest build to play for a new player. You need precision and timing because you character has no poise - anything will stagger you, even small dog bite, and that interrupts your slow attacks. But totally viable. Maybe more viable than many other builds. In the late game Motivity is king.
Motivity probably won't be so hard for people who already played in a strength build in souls-like games before. I myself had a considerably easier time in dark souls 3 than I had in ds2 due to the fact I always went for str builds in both games, but I already knew how to play the game when I started ds3, so knowing how the timing works and not to be greedy when the boss is about to attack saved me some deaths
@@slaysyu915 damage scales best with motivity, then you add technique in the mix and advance is your enchant. STR weapons deal tons of stagger and have highest damage and highest dps combos. Well, I just tried this build, but... I wouldn't call it S-tier. At best A-tier. It worked pretty well for regular enemies, but for powerful enemies and bosses it wasn't as good as the good old pipe wrench head + police baton handle combo. And it was complete garbage for the final boss. Main problem I have with the weapon is that despite its huge range, it's just too slow with the charge attacks. Bosses weren't really getting stunned as much as with my main weapon either and the main fable art is just kinda trash and the handle's fable art is only a bit useful during bosses and powerful enemies. And the only reason the handle's fable art is even slightly useful in the first place is because the stamina drain of this weapon is just too much. Going for more than 1 hit would not leave me with enough stamina to back out and block incoming attacks. Meanwhile, good ol' pipe wrench was capable of dealing half of the healthbar damage of the final boss' first phase in 1 blow and about 40% of phase 2 without even any other major buffs. The charge attacks were also much faster and the boss stumbled/staggered also much faster and the fully charged attacks were only a fraction of the stamina cost and only slightly weaker. Basically pipe wrench is the way to go. I think with a proper setup and enough investment in power it's probably possible to 1 shot the final boss' second phase with its fable art. I've seen it do over 16K damage in a single hit from a video.
Thanks to your comment i noticed youtube changed how timestamps work. I need to put - before the text. All my video always include timestamps in the description box but they usually work like chapters and split the video timeline. F.
as someone who discovered this combination on his own I have to say the weapon is dogshit against the final bosses of the game, they are too quick. *sees the 59% weight* OHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I played the whole game as below 80%....no wonder I had a lot of issues with Stamina.

Bro is safe call German

DAS RITE
Can you use timestamps next time mate?
There are timestamps?? All labeled
Killed the king of puppets with this build and mistankely bought the amulet instead of his scythe…. 🤡🤡🤡

This is 'B' tier weapons.
You're getting your butt kicked in the video
Not really S tier since that handle will scale up to A with a motivity crank. You got me with the click bait 😂
I have to be honest here, did not even think about the scaling hahha
this build sucks, lies of p is not a good game to heavy builds
Try the bramble curved sword handle. Almost like the baton and holy sword mixed with the fable arts.
Currently in the works for a technique build and weapon video. will be up today/tomorrow!
Thx for your build and the time you took to explain it ,
at 12:00 The Enhance Ambush Stagger ATK 1 passive ; can you explain what is a dodge attack and dash attack ?
maybe with an example .. thx again !
you can sprint and attack during the sprint which results in a dash attack. A dodge attack is when you use a dodge and attack during it, resulting in a special attack for both. Those get upgraded with the ambush stagger atk 1
