The size and form of the Action 2 is perfect for moto vlogging, even better if it can record longer. Let's see if the protective case DJI's giving out will really enchance the Action 2's performance.

Thanks for your comment, great to hear from you. The gloves are indeed from Segura, but it's the Segura Edwin. I like them very much in the summer, but they are too cold for the winter.

I did enjoy having my Action 2 during road trips! I usually have the other module connected to the main camera mod when I start recording bec. that way it doesn't get too warm, but with the free magnetic protective case on, I might try having the main camera module alone this time!
I miss the gopro hero sessions 😭😭😭😭😭. Action 2 has 3 (big) problems : battery, heating and memory (only 22gb usable without the module)... Anyway thanks for the ideas. Big hug from Argentina 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Do you think magnetic strap is secure enough for high speed highway riding? Great bike btw!
Hi HellenicBlackMetal, thank you for your message 😃 Without an extra module, the camera module only has 12 minutes of battery, which is something that you have to remember. I tried the magnetic strap at 80 km/h or 50 mi and it was fairly secure.
Great video and presentation! I agree with the battery life problem too. I'm also disappointed that they stopped producing osmo action, which was a great budget alternative, since it became so cheap.

Seeing as nobody responded... I don't know about battery time but they added a loop mode that will automatically overwrite the oldest video file. However, the internal storage struggles with it's write speed for video so you will need to get a 10 euro SD card.
Price + overheating is quite a deal breaker. I like my Hero Session 5, has image stabilizer and doesn't overheat. The only thing I wish it had, is a wireless microphone.
Match your hero5 video specs and it wouldn’t overheat too. 4k30 for 3 months now and zero overheats. Also price is about 250$ so not that high for quality footage you get. Negative RUclips hype is what drives people from that great camera, especially for bikers like me.

On minute 4:44 I noticed that you mounted the camera on your helmet in 'portrait' mode but nonetheless you were able to have a landscape video. How did you do that? On my action 2 I have HorizonSteady ON in 1080p or 2,7K, but I always get vertical/portrait shots... Thanks in advance
Nevermind Josh, I just realized that I have to click record first and then I can mount the camera however I want and it will keep the horizon levelled 😅

You can try other mount from centre and not one of the end.. in that way it can be used just like other typical action cameras..it will be horizontal

Drone pilot is little choppy, but with practice will get better, all the best

When I used mine for a motorcycle ride in 4K 60 it recorded just fine with no over heating

It's a real bummer that the first Action is gone. I returned my Action 2 and was looking for the Action 1, but until so far without any luck.
Also you can’t film with the camera horizontally mounted on your helmet and in 16.9
You could set the aspect ratio to 4:3 and crop it in post

Did you figure out which mic works well? I tried 3 different ones but once my bike is running (loud exhaust) the sound sucks :(

wtf...You're supposed to put the necklace inside your shirt/jacket then clip the camera over your shirt/jacket. It says this in the instructions.
But that's a leather jacket which is thicker than normal day to day clothes
