No. I have not experience it. However, if the belt keeps falling fall, there are usually 2 causes: 1. The belt is too long and you will need a shorter belt so that it is tight. 2. Your belt is too thick. There is a 3rd one but rare, that is your motor spins reversely.
@@DunQuDeYi I bought the original 133 belt. The belt when play slips off by the motor. And then the music sounds bad. I put the belt straight and it hit play and the belt goes over the wheel on the motor side.
I have a 133 and when I press any of the play, rw, ff etc buttons nothing happens. There no click sound of the motor engaging or anything. Do you think it’s the belt or something else?
It has been a long time so I do not remember. However, you do not need to know the exact size. All you have to do is to make a guess of the belt width and lengthn. Then buy the "assorted cassette flat belts" from ebay. It will have one fit. Much cheaper than buying a specific one.
Do you have any idea why one channel is not working? I tried unplugging the rca lead that’s working to the channel that’s no working. Nothing. It’s dead
@@DunQuDeYi I got the tape player out and I cannot see how you put the belt onto the flywheel. The big wheel is attached to the body . Do you have to remove big flywheel to put belt onto small wheel?
Very similar to the 122 but what did or how did you handle the black plastic lever connected to the dial cord and door mechanism? Has to be removed in order to install the main belt...
Hi Bruce - I picked up a 122 that needs belts, idler tires, and pinch roller. Senseless to do this job unless you replace all these items. I may want to pick your brain down the road after I acquire all the correct parts. The service manual is useless. I notice that on this video that an instruction sheet came with the belt. Every bit of information can be helpful. I'm not sure about what you had mentioned.
@@deanguando1335 This plastic "rod " or lever is held by 2 "C"clips and has to be removed in order to replace the belt and I'd rather not move the dial cord that is attached to it as the door may not work afterwards. I need to find a manual on line and also the idlers are still good.
I never opened a 124 before so I can only see it based on the observation. I think it would be similar. However, it you buy belt from EBay. I believe those sellers have detailed paper instruction upon request. So you can ask them if they have it before you buy.
Thank you for this video! It saved my Tascam from lying useless on the shelf.
I followed your video and you helped me save this recorder from the trash, Thank you so much!
I finally changed belt. But the belt keeps falling off the small motor wheel. Not sure why. Did you experience this after you installed it?

this unit is better than the later servo 238 that is going crazy on the tape speed
Im tying to find a belt replacement for the 133, what was the size of the one you replaced?

@@DunQuDeYi THXs for your reply. Do you have the document with process description still from the belt exchange?

Why do you remove pcb board?? Can you do it without this step?
You dont have to remove it. But remove it make it easier for your hand to move around.

Hi, I have a Teac model 124 syncaset....Have you seen this one? How similar do you think it might be to the 133?

Thanks! Whats the music youre testing with?
The lift assembly belt is : 6.5" x 0.65 " square
I'm guessing that's .065" on the square part.
Do you know what size the shaft is for the knobs?
Sorry. I dont know. I dont have it any more.
Where to buy parts???
I buy everything from ebay
